This paper focuses on the student- centered approach in English classroom teaching in vocational colleges. It points out that the students' English levels, the current mainstream of teaching in English class as well as the teaching materials in Chinese vocational college are all important factors that influence the outcome of the student-centered teaching approach. Student engagement in a clinical learning environment is a vital component in the curricula of pre-licensure nursing students, providing an opportunity to combine cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills. This paper is significant in Arab world as there is a lack of knowledge, attitude and practice of student involvement in the new clinical learning environment. The purpose of this review article is to describe the experiences and perspectives of the nurse educator in facilitating pre-licensure nursing students’ engagement in the new clinical learning environment. The review suggests that novice students prefer actual engagement in clinical learning facilitated through diversity experiences, shared learning opportunities, student-faculty interaction and active learning. They expressed continuous supervision, ongoing feedback, interpersonal relationship and personal support from nurse educators useful in the clinical practice. However, the value of this review lies in a better understanding of what constitutes quality clinical learning environment from the students’ perspective of engagement in evidence-based nursing, reflective practice, e-learning and simulated case scenarios facilitated by the nurse educators. This review is valuable in planning and implementing innovative clinical and educational experiences for improving the quality of the clinical teaching-learning environment. 展开更多

本科教学改革是高校持续推进入才培养创新的重要举措。20世纪70年代以来,美国高校为走出高等教育普及化初期质量低谷,广泛开展“以学生为中心”的教学改革。基于“全美大学生学习性投入调查(NSSE)”2001—2018年约500万本科生样本数据... 本科教学改革是高校持续推进入才培养创新的重要举措。20世纪70年代以来,美国高校为走出高等教育普及化初期质量低谷,广泛开展“以学生为中心”的教学改革。基于“全美大学生学习性投入调查(NSSE)”2001—2018年约500万本科生样本数据的研究发现,在此次改革中,美国高等教育领域积极回归以学生能力增值为导向的通识性教学目标,涵养以学习主体性、社会建构性和真实情境性为特征的教学生态,营造有利于大学生学习投入的教学环境,并借助学生调查完善教学质量反馈机制。21世纪以来,美国本科教学质量显著提升,但逐渐进入“高原”瓶颈期。具体表现为:本科生能力增值明显,教学过程中反思性学习、合作式学习、课堂表达和生师互动行为显著增加,院校的学业和社会性支持持续增强,但同时多个教学质量指标逐渐趋于停滞甚至有所下降。总体而言,“以学生为中心”的教学改革对保持美国高校人才培养的全球竞争力产生了积极影响。 展开更多

Injected spectrum for TeV γ-ray emission from the galactic center

The detection of very high energy γ-ray emission from the Galactic center has been reported by four independent groups. One of these γ-ray sources, the 10 TeV -γ-ray radiation reported by HESS, has been suggested as having a hadronic origin when relativistic protons are injected into and interact with the dense ambient gas. Assuming that such relativistic protons required by the hadronic model come from the tidal disruption of a star by the massive black hole of Sgr A*, we explore the spectrum of the relativis- tic protons. In the calculations, we investigate cases where different types of stars are tidally disrupted by the black hole of Sgr A*, and we consider that different diffusion mechanisms are used for the propagation of protons. The initial energy distribution of the injected spectrum of protons is assumed to follow a power-law with an exponential cut-off, and we derive the different indices of the injected spectra for the tidal disruption of different types of stars. For the best fit to the spectrum of photons detected by HESS, the spectral index of the injected relativistic protons is about 2.05 when a red giant is tidally disrupted by the black hole of Sgr A* and the diffusion mechanism is the Effective Confinement of Protons. 展开更多

要在大学课堂中真正落实“学生为中心”的理念,关键在于深入洞察学生对课堂的关注点和情感倾向。研究通过对L大学2,110门本科课程的学生学习反馈文本进行文本与情感分析,揭示学生对课堂的核心关注点是其在课堂的主体地位与学习价值、课... 要在大学课堂中真正落实“学生为中心”的理念,关键在于深入洞察学生对课堂的关注点和情感倾向。研究通过对L大学2,110门本科课程的学生学习反馈文本进行文本与情感分析,揭示学生对课堂的核心关注点是其在课堂的主体地位与学习价值、课堂教学内容的深度与互动质量、课堂评价的公正性与学习反馈的及时性等。学生对课堂的情感倾向分析表明,学生喜欢能关照个体差异、引导价值观形成,富于挑战、有深度思维并能给予学习支持,同时能给予学生及时反馈且富有学习获得感的课堂。基于此,大学课堂实现“学生为中心”的理念,需要教师“教”与学生“学”双向奔赴,提升学生作为学习主体的责任意识,强化基于学生需求导向的课堂价值教育功能,优化学生的学习反馈与学习成效评价机制。 展开更多
