The Influence of the Sun and Moon on the Observation of Very High Energy Gamma-ray Sources Using EAS Arrays

With great advance of ground-based extensive air shower arrays,such as LHAASO and HAWC,many very high energy(VHE)gamma-ray sources have been discovered and are being monitored regardless of the day and the night.Hence,the Sun and Moon would have some impacts on the observation of gamma-ray sources,which have not been taken into account in previous analysis.In this paper,the influence of the Sun and Moon on the observation of very high energy gamma-ray sources when they are near the line of sight of the Sun or Moon is estimated.The tracks of all the known VHE sources are scanned and several VHE sources are found to be very close to the line of sight of the Sun or Moon during some period.The absorption of very high energy gamma rays by sunlight is estimated with detailed method and some useful conclusions are achieved.The main influence is the block of the Sun and Moon on gamma rays and the shadow on the cosmic ray background.The influence is investigated considering the detector angular resolution and some strategies on data analysis are proposed to avoid the underestimation of the gamma-ray emission. 展开更多

Using the correlation between the radiance or Doppler velocity and the extrapolated magnetic field, we determined the emission heights of a set of solar transition region lines in an equatorial coronal hole and in the surrounding quiet Sun region. We found that for all of the six lower-transition-region lines, the emission height is about 4-5 Mm in the equatorial coronal hole, and around 2 Mm in the quiet Sun region. This result confirms the previous findings that plasma with different temperature can coexist at the same layer of transition region. In the quiet Sun region, the emission height of the upper-transition-region line Ne VIII is almost the same that of the lower-transition-region line, but in the coronal hole, it is twice as high. This difference reveals that the outflow of Ne VIII is a signature of solar wind in the coronal hole and is just a mass supply to the large loops in the quiet Sun. 展开更多

The transition region is the key region between the lower solar atmosphere and the corona, which has been limitedly understood by human beings. Therefore, the Solar Upper Transition Region Imager(SUTRI) was proposed by Chinese scientists and launched in 2022 July. Right now, the first imaging observation of the upper transition region around 46.5 nm has been carried out by SUTRI. To ensure the spectral and temporal resolution of the SUTRI telescope, we have developed a narrowband Sc/Si multilayer. Based on the extreme ultraviolet(EUV)reflectivity measurements, the multilayer structure has been modified for ensuring the peak position of reflectivity was at 46.5 nm. Finally, the narrowband Sc/Si multilayer was successfully deposited on the hyperboloid primary mirror and secondary mirrors. The deviation of multilayer thickness uniformity was below than 1%, and the average EUV reflectivity at 46.1 nm was 27.8% with a near-normal incident angle of 5°. The calculated bandwidth of the reflectivity curve after primary and secondary mirrors was 2.82 nm, which could ensure the requirements of spectral resolution and reflectivity of SUTRI telescope to achieve its scientific goals. 展开更多

This paper proposed an optimal algorithm using the sun line-of-sight vector to improve the probe attitude estimation accuracy in deep-space mission.Firstly,the elaborate analysis of the attitude estimation error from vector observations was done to demonstrate that the geometric relation between the reference vectors is an important factor which influences the accuracy of attitude estimation.Then,with introduction of the sun line-of-sight vector,the attitude quaternion obtained from the star-sensor was converted into a pair of mutually perpendicular reference vectors perpendicular to the sun vector.The normalized weights were calculated according to the accuracy of the sensors.Furthermore,the optimal attitude estimation in the least squares sense was achieved with the quaternion estimation method.Finally,the results of simulation demonstrated the validity of the proposed optimal algorithm based on the practical data of the Deep Impact mission. 展开更多

以“Lemont”(美国)和“Dular”(印度)杂交建立的包含123个家系的水稻重组自交系(RIL)群体,构建了含有97对SSR分子标记的水稻遗传连锁图谱。以该遗传群体及其亲本为材料,分别在2005年晚季和2006年早季进行UV—B辐射增强处理,... 以“Lemont”(美国)和“Dular”(印度)杂交建立的包含123个家系的水稻重组自交系(RIL)群体,构建了含有97对SSR分子标记的水稻遗传连锁图谱。以该遗传群体及其亲本为材料,分别在2005年晚季和2006年早季进行UV—B辐射增强处理,考察了株高性状,并转换成抑制率进行混合线性模型的复合区间作图定位,共检测到2个抗UV—B辐射增强的加性QTLs,分别位于第4和第6染色体上,解释了4.72%和2.69%的遗传变异,分析还发现控制该性状QTL存在环境互作效应,分别解释了8.36%和5.42%的遗传变异,大于加性QTLs。同时检测到7对上位性互作基因,解释了0.00~6.88%的遗传变异,也存在-9环境的互作效应,解释了1.94%~23.31%的遗传变异,暗示着基因上位性的重要作用。 展开更多

为了探讨玉米不同自交系对UV-B辐射增强的响应,在摸拟光照培养条件下,研究了增强UV-B辐射对玉米不同自交系气体交换参数的影响。结果表明,五叶期UV-B辐射处理6 d后,供试的48个自交系中近一半以上材料的幼苗叶片光合速率、气孔导度和蒸... 为了探讨玉米不同自交系对UV-B辐射增强的响应,在摸拟光照培养条件下,研究了增强UV-B辐射对玉米不同自交系气体交换参数的影响。结果表明,五叶期UV-B辐射处理6 d后,供试的48个自交系中近一半以上材料的幼苗叶片光合速率、气孔导度和蒸腾速率显著降低10%以上,其材料比例分别为64.6%,47.9%,54.2%;而有62.5%的材料胞间CO2浓度表现为显著增加;相关分析发现,气孔导度与蒸腾速率对UV-B辐射增强的响应值间存在极显著正相关关系;根据气体交换参数对UV-B辐射增强的响应程度将48个材料分成6类,其中对增强UV-B辐射反应比较敏感的材料和能够忍耐UV-B辐射增强的材料均占12.5%。说明玉米不同自交系幼苗叶片气体交换参数对UV-B辐射增强反应敏感程度具有显著的基因型差异,从中能够筛选出对UV-B辐射增强反应敏感和有忍耐能力的材料。 展开更多

新食品原料宝乐果在防晒与修复UV损伤中的效果研究 被引量:1

目的研究新食品原料宝乐果(Borojo)防晒(sun protection factor,SPF)以及抗紫外线(ultraviolet,UV))照射修复损伤的作用功效。方法按实验目的将豚鼠和SPF级(specific pathogen free,SPF)小鼠设置空白对照组、基质组、宝乐果组、阳性对... 目的研究新食品原料宝乐果(Borojo)防晒(sun protection factor,SPF)以及抗紫外线(ultraviolet,UV))照射修复损伤的作用功效。方法按实验目的将豚鼠和SPF级(specific pathogen free,SPF)小鼠设置空白对照组、基质组、宝乐果组、阳性对照组、宝乐果+阳性对照共5组。按实验内容配方制成各组实验用护肤乳液。仪器法预测试各组SPF值,动物体内实验在各组豚鼠背部按2 mg/cm^2的量分别涂抹护肤乳液,以功率1346μW/cm^2、波长300~400 nm的紫外灯照射紫外光。测量各组最小红斑量(minimal erythemal dose,MED),并根据SPF值判定其实际防晒等级。各组小鼠背部皮肤分别均匀涂抹护肤乳液后以波长300~400 nm的长波紫外线(ultraviolet radiation A,UVA)模拟日光紫外照射致损伤;观察皮肤外观损伤表现;用试剂盒法测定皮肤组织中超氧化物歧化酶(super oxide dismutase,SOD)和丙二醛(malondialdehyde,MDA)的含量;统计分析各组数据结果。结果仪器测试标准SPF15,对照14.7±2.1,宝乐果护肤乳液17.7±1.6,宝乐果+阳性对照组21.0±1.0。体内实验SPF值宝乐果组14.1±1.0,阳性对照组13.8±1.8,宝乐果+阳性对照组17.2±2.0。动物皮肤外观同基质组相比,涂抹照射7 d后,宝乐果组有轻度红斑少量角质化皱纹,但未脱皮。宝乐果+阳性对照组红斑较浅无角质化。涂抹照射14 d后,宝乐果组和宝乐果+阳性组皮肤角质化和红斑渐渐消失同空白对照组。皮肤匀浆测试同基质组比,宝乐果组小鼠皮肤匀浆中SOD含量明显增加(P<0.05),宝乐果+阳性对照组显著增加(P<0.01)。宝乐果组小鼠皮肤匀浆中MDA含量明显降低(P<0.05),宝乐果+阳性对照组显著降低(P<0.01)。结论在体内体外试验中,新食品原料宝乐果配制的护肤乳液具有优良的防晒效果和明显地增强晒后损伤修复作用。 展开更多

Using the visual inspection and base difference method and data from the X-ray Telescope (XRT) onboard Hinode and TRACE with improved spatial and temporal resolution, we selected 48 X-ray transient brightenings (XTBs) and 237 EUV transient brightenings (ETBs) to study the connection between these two types of transient brightenings (TBs). These ETBs and XTBs have smaller areas (8.42 Mm^2 and 36.3 Mm^2, respectively, on average) and shorter durations (9.0 min and 6.9 min, respectively, on average) than previous studies. These XTBs show three types of morphological structure: point-like, single-loop and multiple-loop. We find only 20% of the ETBs have corresponding XTBs while the other 80% have no X-ray signatures at all. This is presumably due to the small amount of released energy, which is not enough to heat the plasma to coronal temperatures which produce X-ray emission rather than being due to the limitation of spatial resolution and temperature sensitivity of the X-ray instrument. These small ETBs may significantly contribute to the coronal heating. 展开更多

We present simultaneous observations of three recurring jets in EUV and soft X-ray (SXR), which occurred in an active region on 2007 June 5. By comparing their morphological and kinematic characteristics in these two different wavelengths, we found that EUV and SXR jets had similar locations, directions, sizes and velocities. We also analyzed their spectral properties by using six spectral lines from the EUV Imaging Spectrometer (EIS) onboard Hinode and found that these jets had temperatures from 0.05 to 2.0MK and maximum electron densities from 6.6× 10^9 to 3.4× 10^10cm^-3. For each jet, an elongated blue-shifted component and a red- shifted component at the jet base were simultaneously observed in the Fe XII A195 and the He II A256 lines. The three jets had maximum Doppler velocities from 25 to 121 km s-1 in the FexII A195 line and from 115 to 232 km s -1 in the HeII A256 line. They had maximum non-thermal velocities from 98 to 181 km s-1 in the Fe xII A195 line and from 196 to 399 km s-1 in the He II A256 line. We also examined the relationship between averaged Doppler velocities and maximum ionization temperatures of these three jets and found that averaged Doppler velocities decreased with the increase of maximum ionization temperatures. In the photosphere, magnetic flux emergences and cancelations continuously took place at the jet base. These observa- tional results were consistent with the magnetic reconnection jet model, implying that magnetic reconnection between emerging magnetic flux and ambient magnetic field occurred in the lower atmosphere. 展开更多

Actual textile wastewater and synthesized wastewater containing various textile dyes were photocatalytic degraded by the UVH2O2Fs-TiO2 process in an aimular-flow photocatalytic reactor. In this process, a photon kinetic-measure was adopted to obtain constant rates of dyes decomposition. It was theorized that, by illumination at different UV frequencies, the electrons within the semiconductor were excited from the valence band to the conduction band, yielding the formation of electron-hole pairs which are the pre-requisites for photocatalysis. CPT (critical photonic time) exposure required to cause 90% of vibrations between the double and single bonds along the molecular chain of the dyes to be oxidized, was taken to measure the photocatalytic activities. The CPTs varied with the frequencies of the UV spectral areas. The derivatization of CPT from the first-order kinetic law was presented. 展开更多
