To realize the data synchronization between the inertial measurement unit (IMU) and the global positioning system (GPS), the synchronization technology in the IMU/GPS integrated measurement system of vehicle motion parameters is studied. According to the characteristics of the output signals of the IMU and the GPS, without the IMU synchronization signal, the synchronization circuit based on CPLD is designed and developed, which need not alter the configurations of the IMU and GPS. Experiments of measuring vehicle motion parameters, which rely on the synchronization circuit to realize IMU/GPS data synchronization, are made. The driving routes in experiments comprise a curve and a straight line. Experimental results show that the designed circuit can accurately measure the synchronization time difference and the IMU period, and can effectively solve the data synchronization in IMU/GPS integration. Furthermore, the IMU/GPS integrated measurement system based on the synchronization circuit can measure and calculate many vehicle motion parameters in high frequency mode. 展开更多

In order to make full use of information about sampling intervals and interval time-varying delays, new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals with triple integral terms are introduced. Based on the convex combination technique, two kinds of synchronization criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequal- ities, which can be efficiently solved via standard numerical software. The sam- pling period is assumed to be time-varying and bounded. The information of probability distribution of the time-varying delay is considered and transformed into parameter matrices of the transferred complex dynamical network model. Based on the condition, the design method of the desired sampled data controller is proposed. By constructing a new Lyapunov functional with triple integral terms, delay-distribution-dependent exponential synchronization criteria are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. 展开更多

Fast data synchronization in wireless ad hoc networks is a challenging and critical problem.It is fundamental for efficient information fusion,control and decision in distributed systems.Previously,distributed data synchronization was mainly studied in the latency-tolerant distributed databases,or assuming the general model of wireless ad hoc networks.In this paper,we propose a pair of linear network coding(NC)and all-to-all broadcast based fast data synchronization algorithms for wireless ad hoc networks whose topology is under operator’s control.We consider both data block selection and transmitting node selection for exploiting the benefits of NC.Instead of using the store-and-forward protocol as in the conventional uncoded approach,a compute-and-forward protocol is used in our scheme,which improves the transmission efficiency.The performance of the proposed algorithms is studied under different values of network size,network connection degree,and per-hop packet error rate.Simulation results demonstrate that our algorithms significantly reduce the times slots used for data synchronization compared with the baseline that does not use NC. 展开更多

Furthermore, a simple yet generic criterion is also presented to guarantee synchronized oscillatory motions in coupled harmonic oscillators. The Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional combined with the input delay approach as well as the free-weighting matrix approach is employed to derive several sufficient criteria in terms of LMIs to ensure that the delayed MJFCNNs with the Wiener process is stochastic asymptotical synchronous. Restrictions (e.g., time derivative is smaller than one) are removed to obtain a proposed sampled-data controller. A new technique, namely, the free-matrix-based time-dependent discontinuous Lyapunov functional approach, is adopted in constructing the Lyapunov functional, which takes advantage of the sampling characteristic of sawtooth input delay. Based on this discontinuous Lyapunov functional, some less conservative synchronization criteria are established to ensure that the slave system is synchronous with the master system. The desired sampled-data controller can be obtained through the use of the linear matrix inequality(LMI) technique. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and the improvements of the proposed methods. 展开更多

In this paper the fault tolerant synchronization of two chaotic systems based on fuzzy model and sample data is investigated. The problem of fault tolerant synchronization is formulated to study the global asymptotical stability of the error system with the fuzzy sampled-data controller which contains a state feedback controller and a fault compensator. The synchronization can be achieved no matter whether the fault occurs or not. To investigate the stability of the error system and facilitate the design of the fuzzy sampled-data controller, a Takagi Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent the chaotic system dynamics. To acquire good performance and produce a less conservative analysis result, a new parameter-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovksii functional and a relaxed stabilization technique are considered. The stability conditions based on linear matrix inequality are obtained to achieve the fault tolerant synchronization of the chaotic systems. Finally, a numerical simulation is shown to verify the results. 展开更多

The conditions are formulated in terms of the leakage delay, the sampling period, and the exponential convergence rate. With the increased availability of experimental measurements aiming at probing wind resources and wind turbine operations,machine learning(ML)models are poised to advance our understanding of the physics underpinning the interaction between the atmospheric boundary layer and wind turbine arrays,the generated wakes and their interactions,and wind energy harvesting.However,the majority of the existing ML models for predicting wind turbine wakes merely recreate Computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulated data with analogous accuracy but reduced computational costs,thus providing surrogate models rather than enhanced data-enabled physics insights.Although ML-based surrogate models are useful to overcome current limitations associated with the high computational costs of CFD models,using ML to unveil processes from experimental data or enhance modeling capabilities is deemed a potential research direction to pursue.In this letter,we discuss recent achievements in the realm of ML modeling of wind turbine wakes and operations,along with new promising research strategies. 展开更多

Without using the Kronecker product, a new synchronization error system is constructed by using the property of the random variable and input delay approach. Based on the Lyapunov theory, a delay-dependent pinning sampled-data synchronization criterion is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) that can be solved effectively by using MATLAB LMI toolbox. In order to reduce amount of data storage and improve processing capacity of the system, this paper proposes a new classification method of data source by combining phase synchronization model in network clustering with cloud model. Firstly, taking data source as a complex network, after the topography of network is obtained, the cloud model of each node data is determined by fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Secondly, by calculating expectation, entropy and hyper entropy of the cloud model, comprehensive coupling strength is got and then it is regarded as the edge weight of topography. Finally, distribution curve is obtained by iterating the phase of each node by means of phase synchronization model. Thus classification of data source is completed. This method can not only provide convenience for storage, cleaning and compression of data, but also improve the efficiency of data analysis. 展开更多

The recent development in autonomous driving involves high-level computer vision and detailed road scene understanding.Today,most autonomous vehicles employ expensive high quality sensor-set such as light detection and ranging(LIDAR)and HD maps with high level annotations.In this paper,we propose a scalable and affordable data collection and annotation framework image-to-map annotation proximity(I2MAP),for affordance learning in autonomous driving applications.We provide a new driving dataset using our proposed framework for driving scene affordance learning by calibrating the data samples with available tags from online database such as open street map(OSM).Our benchmark consists of 40000 images with more than40 affordance labels under various day time and weather even with very challenging heavy snow.We implemented sample advanced driver-assistance systems(ADAS)functions by training our data with neural networks(NN)and cross-validate the results on benchmarks like KITTI and BDD100K,which indicate the effectiveness of our framework and training models. 展开更多

Considering the increasing use of information technology with established standards, such as TCP/IP and XML in modem industrial automation, we present a high cost performance solution with FPGA (field programmable gate array) implementation of a novel reliable real-time data transfer system based on EPA (Ethemet for plant automation) protocol and IEEE 1588 standard. This combination can provide more predictable and real-time communication between automation equipments and precise synchronization between devices. The designed EPA system has been verified on Xilinx Spartan3 XC3S1500 and it consumed 75% of the total slices. The experimental results show that the novel industrial control system achieves high synchronization precision and provides a 1.59-ps standard deviation between the master device and the slave ones. Such a real-time data transfer system is an excellent candidate for automation equipments which require precise synchronization based on Ethemet at a comparatively low price. 展开更多

This paper presents some key techniques for multi-sensor integration system, which is applied to the intelligent transportation system industry and surveying and mapping industry, e.g. road surface condition detection, digital map making. The techniques are synchronization control of multi-sensor, space-time benchmark for sensor data, and multi-sensor data fusion and mining. Firstly, synchronization control of multi-sensor is achieved through a synchronization control system which is composed of a time synchronization controller and some synchronization sub-controllers. The time synchronization controller can receive GPS time information from GPS satellites, relative distance information from distance measuring instrument and send space-time information to the synchronization sub-controller. The latter can work at three types of synchronization mode, i.e. active synchronization, passive synchronization and time service synchronization. Secondly, space-time benchmark can be established based on GPS time and global reference coordinate system, and can be obtained through position and azimuth determining system and synchronization control system. Thirdly, there are many types of data fusion and mining, e.g. GPS/Gyro/DMI data fusion, data fusion between stereophotogrammetry and PADS, data fusion between laser scanner and PADS, and data fusion between CCD camera and laser scanner. Finally, all these solutions presented in paper have been applied to two areas, i.e. land-bone intelligent road detection and measurement system and 3D measurement system based on unmanned helicopter.
