The principle of the electronic toll collection system is that the sensor emits radio waves touching the e-tag within a certain range, the e-tag will respond to the radio waves by induction, and the sensor will read and write information of the vehicles. Although the RFID technology is popularly used in campus management systems, there is no e-tag technology application used in a campus parking system. In this paper, we use the e-tag technology on a campus parking management system based on the cloud-based construction. By this, it helps to achieve automated and standardized management of the campus parking system, enhance management efficiency, reduce the residence time of the vehicles at the entrances and exits, and improve the efficiency of vehicles parked at the same time. 展开更多

This work is motivated by the need to address deep concern and awareness toward how learners learn best. This study develops an adaptive e-learning platform where the learner is allowed to answer questions or solve problems based on his/her ability or pace. It also provides an online classroom which will run alongside the traditional classroom. The software will adopt the waterfall model. VB.NET, an Object Oriented Programming Language will be used with AJAX and JAVASCRIPT web development tools. Advanced metering infrastructure( AMI) is a critical part of the smart grid,and ZigBee is playing an increasingly important role in AMI.The cyber security is the prerequisite to ensure the reliable operation of AMI.To guarantee the ZigBee communication security in AMI,a key management scheme based on the elliptic curve cryptosystem( ECC) is proposed.According to the ways of information transformation in AMI,the scheme is categorized as unicast communication key management process and multicast communication key management process.And in the scheme,the selection of elliptic curve,the calculation of ZigBee node's ECC public key and private key,the establishment and distribution of the link key in unicast communication,and the establishment and distribution of the network key in multicast communication are elaborated.The analysis results show that the proposed key management scheme is secure,and consumes less memory and energy,thus,can meet the demands of communication security of AMI. 展开更多

Vertical Handover Management for VoIP Session over Broadband Wireless Networks

Today, wireless LAN (IEEE802.11g/n) has been the dominant wireless network that can provide high data rates in a limited coverage area. While emerging mobile WiMAX (IEEE802.16e) can provide a wireless broadband access to mobile users in a wide coverage area. These two different technolgies will co-exist while complementing each other in some regions, hence, a mobile node (MN) with dual interfaces traverses and executes many handovers (HOs) between 802.11g and 802.16e. Meanwhile, there is a huge demand for Voice over IP (VoIP) service over wireless networks. However, VoIP is a delay and loss sensitive application, hence, VoIP session is more likely to be deteriorated during HO between 802.11g and 802.16e. In order to maintain quality of VoIP session during HO, we proposed Vertical Handover Management (VHM) for VoIP session that focuses on HO initiation and decision strategy according to the wireless link condition and congestion state of wireless networks. The VHM exploits request to send (RTS) retries and round trip time (RTT) between an MN and an access point in an 802.11g interface as well as a carrier to interference noise ration (CINR) level and MN’s queue length of an 802.16e interface as HO triggers. We then conducted simulation experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed VHM using QualNet 4.5. Our simulation results show that our proposed VHM can preserve the quality of VoIP session during such HOs. 展开更多

Type 1 diabetes is a chronic illness with a high burden of care.While effective interventions and recommendations for diabetes care exist,the intensive nature of diabetes management makes compliance difficult.This isespecially true in children and adolescents as they have unique psychosocial and diabetes needs.Despite the development of effective in-person interventions targeting improving self-management and ameliorating psychosocial difficulties there are still a number of barriers to implementing these interventions,namely time,cost,and access.Telehealth interventions allow for the dissemination of these interventions to a broader audience.Self-management and psychosocial telehealth interventions are reviewed with a special emphasis on mobile phone and internet based technology use.While efficacy has been demonstrated in a number of telehealth interventions with improved cost effectiveness over inperson interventions,many challenges remain including high participant attrition and difficulties with receiving reimbursement for services rendered.These and other challenges are discussed with recommendations for researchers and telehealth providers provided. 展开更多

Efficacy and Usability of an E-Learning Program for Fostering Qualified Disease Management Nurses

Nurses who worked... In order to train nurses to perform disease management and telenursing, we developed an e-learning education program, and assessed the efficacy. A single-group pre-test and post-test design was used. Nurses who worked at a medical institution or a disease management company were included, and the duration of the program was set 2 months. We developed the program so that it could grow attitude and improve knowledge and skills in disease management and patient education. Of 55 subjects, 48 who completed the program were analyzed. After the program, subjects increased knowledge and interests in disease management and patient education. Almost of the subjects answered that e-learning was a good learning method. Our program was effective at enhancing subject’s interests in disease management and patient education, and considered to improve their skills in the future. 展开更多

This paper discusses the impact of e-governance powered by blockchain in the project and program management industry. With the rise in technological innovations, many countries have turned to e-governance for efficiency in service delivery, transparency, and decision-making. E-governance backed by blockchain technology entails improving the public services provision by implementing structures of information and communication technologies. There are many challenges with the traditional project management approach that causes organizations and its stakeholders’ cost and time. Thus, the introduction of blockchain has given many organizations a new approach to adopt in order to eliminate the challenges associated with the typical project management approach. In spite of the cutting-edge technology of blockchain and its broad applications in program management and e-governance, there are still many challenges that restrain its adoption on a broader scale. The research discusses the challenges of the blockchain deployment in the program management field and e-governance in private and government sectors and it highlights the efforts put by both sectors to make use of the technology. Also, the research covers the opportunities and the advantages of a blockchain adoption in various segments. The paper uses various case studies in the UAE, in both private and government sectors, and a qualitative research approach was implemented. The case studies were on government entities such as Smart Dubai and the Ministry of Health Prevention and also private entities like DP World and Emirates NBD. The paper concludes with recommendations and solutions on how to maximize the benefit of blockchain in the program management industry and how it is improving the decision-making process. 展开更多

The electronic waste sector is unregulated in most develo... The amount of electronic waste generated globally is alarming especially that it is on the rise. The impact of the generated amounts is not only Environmental. The electronic waste sector is unregulated in most developing countries;this results in the informal sector being heavily involved in managing and handling it. Due to the lack of regulations, informal handlers are exposed to hazardous materials that affect both their health and health of the communities living in their proximity. Moreover, the informal sector involves illegal child and women labor under harsh conditions. In addition to the social impact, the lack of regulations leads to missing major economic opportunities associated with developing a recycling industry for the safe handling and material recovery from the generated e-waste volumes. Electronic waste may contain up to 60 different materials including precious and rare-earth metals with estimated equivalent economic value of 48 billion Euros. Egypt is one the countries which lack policies and regulations dedicated to e-waste, hence the Egyptian economy is missing the economic potential and job creation opportunities associated with developing the e-waste sector as well as facing major Environmental and health challenges due to the improper handling of the generated amounts. This paper briefly reviews the current situation of e-waste in Egypt. The paper then proposes an adapted guideline for the sustainable management of e-waste in Egypt. The guideline is based on the international regulations and guidelines especially those of countries similar to the Egyptian socioeconomic context. The produced guideline focuses on establishing a collection and recycling framework for e-waste in Egypt with EPR at its center. The guideline also establishes a financing system to help foster the recycling industry in Egypt while fulfilling the three main pillars of sustainability. 展开更多

目的探究E-Coach慢病管理模式在根治性前列腺切除术患者管理中的应用效果。方法采用方便抽样法,选择2022年11月至2023年5月于昆明市某三甲医院泌尿外科住院部行根治性前列腺切除术的82例患者为研究对象,随机分到试验组与对照组,每组41... 目的探究E-Coach慢病管理模式在根治性前列腺切除术患者管理中的应用效果。方法采用方便抽样法,选择2022年11月至2023年5月于昆明市某三甲医院泌尿外科住院部行根治性前列腺切除术的82例患者为研究对象,随机分到试验组与对照组,每组41例。试验组采用E-Coach慢病管理模式,对照组采用传统管理模式。分别对两组生活质量、随访率、凯格尔运动依从性进行比较。结果试验组前列腺癌复合指数量表得分为(13.83±1.93)分,对照组为(31.03±3.96)分;试验组随访率为97.62%,对照组为65.79%;试验组凯格尔运动总依从率为100.00%,对照组为84.21%,两组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.001)。结论E-Coach慢病管理模式可以提高根治性前列腺切除术患者的生活质量、随访率和凯格尔运动依从性,值得临床推广。 展开更多

DRG付费制度下基于O/E模型优化ET25病组用药管理的实践与探索

目的:探索建立疾病诊断相关分组(DRG)付费背景下临床药师参与慢性阻塞性肺疾病管理的新模式。方法:以重庆市医保系统DRG运营数据为基础,选取入组例数较多且住院费用与DRG付费标准存在较大管理空间的病组为研究对象,探讨某三级甲等综合... 目的:探索建立疾病诊断相关分组(DRG)付费背景下临床药师参与慢性阻塞性肺疾病管理的新模式。方法:以重庆市医保系统DRG运营数据为基础,选取入组例数较多且住院费用与DRG付费标准存在较大管理空间的病组为研究对象,探讨某三级甲等综合医院该病组诊疗费用与住院时间、住院费用的相关性,以2022年该院医疗资源消耗的平均水平作为期望值,建立用药合理性评判标准,通过信息化方式实施综合干预,参与慢性阻塞性肺疾病合理用药管理。结果:重庆市三级医院ET25病组(慢性气道阻塞病,不伴合并症或并发症)例均住院费用显著高于DRG付费标准。Spearman相关分析结果显示,药品费用与患者住院时间和住院费用高度相关;进一步对ET25病组患者的药物使用情况进行分析和针对性干预,O/E(观测值/期望值)模型结果显示,与2022年相比,2023年该院ET25病组患者例均住院时间、例均住院费用以及例均药品费用的O/E指数<1;用药方案的例均药品费用方面,呼吸系统用药、全身用抗感染药、杂类用药、血液和造血器官药、消化道和代谢方面用药、内科用药、系统性激素制剂(不含性激素和胰岛素)的O/E指数<1,且全身用抗感染药、血液和造血器官药的实际值较预测值降幅最大。结论:DRG付费背景下临床药师以O/E指数为参考,参与慢性阻塞性肺疾病合理用药管理,对于降低患者例均住院时间、例均住院费用及例均药品费用具有一定的积极作用。 展开更多
