On Syllabus Design for the Specialty of Electromechanical Equipment Maintenance and Management in Vocational College

We carried out researches on the syllabus design for the specialty of electromechanical equipment maintenance & management in vocational college. Our researches involve the following aspects: (1) The training objective of the specialty; (2) the curriculum system; (3) The teaching methodology; and (4) Field training.

This paper presents the details of a final-year compulsory module,which was developed to enable software engineering students to take a holistic view of software,by involving them in the wider issues of software development and use,the aim being to help students to become "rounded" software professionals.The module does this by fusing two disciplines:software quality and professionalism.These disciplines co-exist within a syllabus that encourages self-directed investigation,collaborative learning,and knowledge generation.Following a description of the module components,the paper discusses the feedback received from students,which is mostly favourable and therefore,very encouraging.

An Evaluation of the New Senior English For China Student＇ s Book I

The textbook is the New Senior English For China Student＇s Book I （NSEFC I） and the target group is the new senior students. This paper tries to analyze the NSEFC I from four aspects： needs analysis, syllabus design, language skills and linguistic and non-linguistic content. Using different examples to do the curriculum evaluation.

Exploration and Practice on Task-Based Language Teaching Theory in College English Teaching

This article is based on task-based language teaching(TBLT)theory and attempts to explore how to better transfer knowledge and effectively arouse college students’interest in language learning and strengthen their confidence in college English classroom context.Task-based language teaching must be considered and applied in syllabus designing,selection,sequencing of pedagogic tasks,and provision of real-language environment during the learning process.Through the analysis of applying the task-based approaches,it can be found that students’comprehensive ability of English is greatly improved.

大学英语“多纲多本”的必要性和可行性研究

随着我国高等教育改革的不断深入,高校招生规模的持续扩大,高校学生生源的结构也由过去的单一性向多层次多元化发展。即使在同一高校,学生的英语基础和个人学习需求也因人而异。因此,大学英语教学应首先改变传统的教学观念,调整现行英语教学管理模式,以"多纲多本"代替"一纲一本",即在统一课程要求之下开发多种多样的、适合本校实际情况以及不同学生群体的课程教学大纲和培养目标,并在多种大纲的指导下,使用多种不同的教科书,使英语教学符合学生培养的实际需要,满足他们各自不同专业的发展要求。

外语专业四、八级考试的历史回顾

今年是实施英语专业四、八级考试的第20个年头,自教育部批准其他外语专业考试开展也已经有10年。本文回顾了外语专业考试的历史,包括考试的背景、考试设计、考纲制定、相关考试研究和考试的影响等,并指出外语专业四、八级考试的成功实施是高等学校外语专业教学指导委员会历任委员们辛勤劳动的成果和心血的结晶,也离不开教育部高教司和各省市自治区教育主管部门的支持。虽然考试的声誉越来越高,但是组织者真心希望各方人士能正确认识这些考试,维护考试影响,增强其对教学的正面反拨作用,从而进一步促进我国外语专业建设。
