This paper presents the details of a final-year compulsory module,which was developed to enable software engineering students to take a holistic view of software,by involving them in the wider issues of software devel...This paper presents the details of a final-year compulsory module,which was developed to enable software engineering students to take a holistic view of software,by involving them in the wider issues of software development and use,the aim being to help students to become "rounded" software professionals.The module does this by fusing two disciplines:software quality and professionalism.These disciplines co-exist within a syllabus that encourages self-directed investigation,collaborative learning,and knowledge generation.Following a description of the module components,the paper discusses the feedback received from students,which is mostly favourable and therefore,very encouraging.展开更多
