Photocatalytic solar to energy conversion is considered an attractive approach for overcoming energy crises and environmental concerns.Recently,titanium carbide(Ti_(3)C_(2))MXenes have been recognized as promising cocatalysts based on their metallic conductivity,excessive active reaction sites,and enlarged surface area.The current review focuses on the properties and applications of Ti_(3)C_(2)MXenes useful in the field of photocatalysis.More specifically,surface modification of Ti_(3)C_(2)MXenes by varying synthesis parameters to get pure materials and also composites with the role of functional groups towards solar energy conversion applications is highlighted in this review.The effect of etching and oxidizing pathways to get an efficient cocatalyst has been discussed in detail.Considering the significant effect of parameters,optimum synthesis conditions such as etchant type,concentration,time and type of intercalant in both the Ti_(3)C_(2)synthesis approaches for improved photoactivity are discussed.Additionally,the surface modification of Ti_(3)C_(2)through oxidation for TiO2growth on its surface is deliberated with a detailed discussion on etchant type,concentration,etching time,and environmental factors.The optimum oxidation condition,including temperature,time,and environment for thermal treatment of Ti_(3)C_(2),were also included.Lastly,the review summarizes the conclusion and future perspectives for solar energy conversion applications. 展开更多

The influence of sintering temperature, carbon content and dispersive agent in bail-milling was investigated on the properties of LiFePO4/C prepared using Fe2O3, NH4H2PO4, Li2CO3 and glucose via solid state reaction. X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and charge-discharge test were applied to the characterization of the LiFePO4/C samples synthesized under different conditions. Sintering temperature affects the crystallite/ particle size and degree ofcrystallinity of LiFePO4, formation of Fe2P and maintenance of carbon in LiFePO4/C. Car- bon maintenance is favored by low sintering temperature, and 700 ℃ is optimum for synthesis of LiFePO4/C with superior electrochemical performance. A higher carbon content in the range of 4.48%-11.03% results in a better rate capability for LiFePO4/C. The dispersive agent used in ball-milling impacts the existent state of carbon in the final product which subsequently determines its charge-discharge behavior. The sample prepared at 700 ℃ by using acetone as the dispersive agent in ball-milling exhibits an excellent rate capability and capacity retention without any fade at 0.1 C, 1C and 2C, with corresponding average discharge capacities of 153.8, 128.3 and 121.0 mA·h·g-1. rest2ectivelv, in the first 50 cvcles. 展开更多

An approach named "pore structure collapsed replication route" has been developed to prepare mesoporous WC materials with a high surface area (105 m2/g) and crystallized framework at a temperature as low as 700 ℃. The XRD, TEM, EDS, and BET characterizations were conducted to analyze the effects of the synthesis parameters and the template types on the structure of mesoporous WC. The compaction on the templates is the key to form mesoporous structure of WC while the templates help to control the size of crystalline. At a content of 7 wt% for the precursor of WC, the mesoporous WC could be formed with well ordered structure. 展开更多

And a new algorithm for generating association rules of prosodic parameters including pitch parameters and duration parameters from corpus is developed. In this work, a systematic approach is presented to obtain the input-output equations of a single loop 4-bar spatial mechanisms. The dialytic method along with Denavit-Hartenberg parameters can be used to obtain these equations efficiently. A genetic algorithm (GA) has been used to solve the problem of spatial mechanisms synthesis. Two types of mechanisms, e.g., RSCR and RSPC (R: revolute; S: spherical; C: cylindrical; P: prismatic), have illustrated the application of the GA to solve the problem of function generation and path generation. In some cases, the GA method becomes trapped in a local minimum. A combined GA-fuzzy logic (GA-FL) method is then used to improve the final result. The results show that GAs, combined with an adequate description of the mechanism, are well suited for spatial mechanism synthesis problems and have neither difficulties inherent to the choice of the initial feasible guess, nor a problem of convergence, as it is the case for deterministic methods. 展开更多
