Discussion on pathogenesis of colorectal cancer based on the theory of rheumatic fever in traditional Chinese medicine

Rheumatic fever is a disease according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),and its main clinical manifestations include coma and confusion of eyes and head,severe limb drowsiness,fever without consciousness,sticky and greasy stool,short and blood urine,red tongue with yellow and greasy coating,and slippery rapid pulse.Colorectal cancer is a common malignant tumor in the digestive tract.According to the theory of TCM,rheumatic fever is the main etiology and pathogenesis of colorectal cancer,which is the common syndrome of colorectal cancer.The method of antipyretic and removing dampness has been widely used in TCM treatment for colorectal cancer which is effective.From the perspective of rheumatic fever,the article summarizes the material basis of colorectal cancer from the perspectives of gene,protein,metabolism,and microorganism,discussing the potential mechanism of rheumatic fever in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer combined with the theory of TCM,summarizing the defects of the research direction at this stage,in order to better guide the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer.

Research and Development of Skincare Products Based on the Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The application of traditional Chinese medicine in skincare formula development was expounded from the views of“symptom,theory,method,prescription,medicine and effect”.Traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions were improved according to the laws and regulations for China’s cosmetic industry and by the modern scientific and technological means,which had important guiding significance for the research and development of plant-based functional skincare products.The problems in concept claim and quality control standard,and the problems of market confusion,which were ascribed to the lack of basic research in the application of Chinese herbal cosmetics,were pointed out.The future development direction of plant-based functional cosmetics guided by TCM theory was prospected.

This paper expounds the theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution applied to patients with cervical spondylosis,in order to clarify the distribution characteristics of TCM constitution of patients with cervical spondylosis.And to analyze the correlation between TCM constitution theory and cervical spondylosis is helpful to provide ideas for integrated nursing care of TCM and western medicine in patients with cervical spondylosis,and provide the basis for the construction of health management program and the evaluation of health promotion effect.

Discussion on depression by thinking of t raditional Chinese medicine

Depression is a common mental disease characterized by abnormal emotional changes,which belongs to the category of“melancholia syndrome”and Chinese emotion medicine.The main clinical manifestations are mood depression,loss of interest,hallucinations,self-harm,and even suicide.Etiology and pathogenesis can be divided into“inner depression”and“outer depression”,and is related to the susceptibility of the constitution.The diagnosis can be combined with four diagnoses and new techniques.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment methods include TCM,psychotherapy,acupuncture,music therapy and so on.TCM treatment of depression has a long history,strong symptomatic,little side effects.It is forward-looking to explore new ideas of understanding and treating depression syndrome with TCM theory,which is helpful to better“prevention before disease”.TCM therapy will certainly play an important role in the treatment of depression in the future.

Spleen Function and Anxiety in Chinese Medicine: A Western Medicine Perspective

This article aims to illustrate the function of the Spleen in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the context of modern medicine. TCM has been practiced since ancient times in China for the prevention and/or treatment of diseases. Yet, the complete understanding of its theoretical basis in relation to clinical practice from the modern medicine perspective is still lacking. According to TCM theory, the Spleen, as one of the five Zang (i.e., visceral organs), plays an important role in various physiological functions, including digestion and absorption of nutrients, regulation of water retention and excretion, facilitation of blood perfusion to skeletal muscle and on the optimal functioning of the immune system. Clinical applications of herbal formulations for the treatment of Spleen dysfunction (i.e., Spleen deficiency—a decline in Spleen function) and their pharmacological activities are described. The view point of TCM on how emotions (or Qing Zhi) can influence the body function is introduced. The relationship between anxiety and Spleen function has been analyzed by reviewing relevant research studies in modern medicine. These findings suggest that the cause/consequence relationship between anxiety and Spleen function may be bi-directional.
