Systematic review and meta analysis of the TCM therapy of Fuzheng and Kangai combined with chemotherapy in treating advanced NSCLC

Objective:To systematically evaluate TCM of Fuzheng and Kangai combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of Advanced NSCLC,including the efficacy and effect on the quality of life of patients.Methods:Two researchers independently searched the literature of clinical trails from Jan.2010 until Jun.2020 in the Cochrane Library,Pubmed,Embase,CBM,CNKI,WanFang Data and VIP database.Also,they had been evaluated and extracted strictly by REVMAN 5.3.Results:A total of 1303 patients were included in 15 articles.The meta analysis shows that the TCM of Fuzheng and Kangai combined with chemotherapy can improve the objective response rate[OR=2.14,95%CI(1.67,2.74),P<0.00001],disease control rate[OR=2.54,95%CI(1.88,3.42),P<0.00001]and KPS score[OR=3.28,95%CI(1.92,5.60),P<0.0001],decrease the incidence rate of liver injury[OR=0.34,95%CI(0.21,0.54),P=0.003],hemoglobin reduction[OR=0.53,95%CI(0.28,1.01),P=0.05],leukopenia[OR=0.22,95%CI(0.13,0.39),P<0.00001],thrombocytopenia[OR=0.32,95%CI(0.21,0.50),P<0.00001],toxic effects on the digestive systems[OR=0.30,95%CI(0.19,0.46),P<0.00001].Conclusions:the experimental group was better than control one in short-term efficacy and KPS score.Furthermore,the experimental group can reduce the incidence rate of myelosuppression,toxicity of digestive system and liver.

Clinical Observation on Treatment of Moderate and Severe Periodical Mastalgia with TCM Hot-wet Compress Therapy

[Objectives] To observe the clinical therapeutic efficacy of local hot-wet compress therapy of digestion ointment prescription on the patients with moderate and severe mastalgia. [Methods] Firstly,60 patients with mastalgia were selected,and divided into the experimental group and control group( 30 cases for each group). The control group was treated with acupuncture at distal point,and the experimental group was treated with TCM local hot-wet compress therapy combined with acupuncture at distal point. Then,the clinical therapeutic efficacy of two groups was compared. [Results]The experimental group was superior to the control group in relieving the breast pain,improving emotional integral,reducing breast lumps,improving lump texture,and improving TCM syndrome integral( P < 0. 05). [Conclusions]The digestion ointment prescription local hot-wet compress therapy has a significant therapeutic effect on treatment of mastalgia and can significantly improve the breast pain symptom of patients.

Clinical Effects of the Qi-acupuncture Therapy of TCM on Portal Hypertension

Objective:To explore the effective prevention and treatment of portal hypertension(PH).Methods:A total of 220 patients who came to our hospital from March 2015 to October 2018 were treated.They were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,each with 110 cases.Before treatment,there was no significant differences in age,sex,clinical symptoms,signs,laboratory tests and color Doppler ultrasound related examinations between the 2 groups(P>0.05).Among them,the treatment group on the basis of traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment in our hospital,the Qi-acupuncture therapy of TCM was added.The extra meridian acupoints along with acupoints were selected.The control group received conventional treatment with traditional Chinese and Western medicine in our hospital.Results:There were significant differences in clinical symptoms,signs and chemistry between groups after treatment(P<0.01).There were significant differences in test,color ultrasound related examination and so on(P<0.01).Those in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:On the basis of the Qi-acupuncture therapy of TCM,selecting extra meridian acupoint and acupoints can effectively treat PH.

Effects of Huayu Xiaozheng Therapy on Recurrence of Multiple Endometrial Polyps After Electrotomy

Objective:To investigate the preventive effect of Huayu Xiaozheng therapy method of traditional Chinese medicine on the recurrence of multiple endometrial polyps after hysteroscopic electro resection.Methods:A total of 120 patients with blood stasis diagnosed with multiple endometrial polyps after hysteroscopic electroresection were divided into Traditional Chinese medicine group(38 people),Manyuele group(27 people),contraceptive pill group(34 people)and control group(21 people),and the endometrial thickness,polyp recurrence cases and TCM syndrome points were observed in 4 groups after treatment in 3 months,6 months and 12 months..Results:The endometrial thickness was statistically significant(P<0.05)before and after treatment in the Chinese medicine group,the Manyuele group and the contraceptive group,and the endometrial thickness was statistically significant(P<0.05)in the 1 year after treatment,and the endometrial thickness of the Chinese medicine group was compared with the contraceptive group and the Manyuele group in the 1 year after treatment,and the difference was not statistically significant.The differences in TCM symptoms in the Chinese medicine treatment group were statistically significant compared with those in the contraceptive group and the Manyuele group(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of polyps in the 1 year after treatment was statistically significant compared with the control group(P<0.05),and the difference between the three groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The traditional Chinese medicine stasis elimination method has a preventive effect on the recurrence of endometrial polyps,and its preventive effect is no different from that of Western medicine,and can significantly improve clinical symptoms.

Research Progress of Non-drug Therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Treatment of Obese Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS)as a relatively common clinical reproductive endocrine disease,the incidence is increasing year by year and the treatment is difficult,among which obese PCOS accounts for nearly 50%of the total.In recent years,non-drug therapy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been effective in the treatment of PCOS.This article summarizes the relevant literature in the past ten years from acupuncture,acupoint embedding,moxibustion,and auricular points,and observes the effects of TCM non-drug therapy on endocrine and glucose and lipid metabolism in obese PCOS patients.The impact of various indicators such as body mass index,body mass index,etc.,and discuss the problems in such treatments,as well as put forward suggestions to achieve the purpose of better guiding the clinical treatment of obese PCOS.

One Case of Diabetes Nephropathy Stage V, Combined Valvular Disease, Total Heart Failure with Diabetes Foot Gangrene

The patient was found to have 4+urine sugar by physical examination 14 years ago and was treated with oral hypoglycemic drugs. Insulin was injected intramuscularly nine years ago. Two and a half years ago, it was found that the color of the thumb, index and middle toe of the left foot became black. He went to a third-class hospital in Beijing and was diagnosed as “diabetes foot”. He was treated with “balloon dilation of lower limb blood vessels of diabetes foot”. Half a year ago, the third toe on the right side was broken and treated in the hospital again. “Popliteal artery stent implantation” was given for the diagnosis of “double kidney insufficiency, diabetes foot, left heart failure, combined heart valve disease”, “Hemofiltration therapy” and anti-inflammatory, amino acid supplementation, kidney function protection, anticoagulation, anemia correction and other treatments. Later, he went to our hospital and was diagnosed by the TCM diagnosis: category of consumptive disease, toe or finger gangrene (syndrome/pattern of qi and yin deficiency). Western medicine diagnosed: stage V of diabetes nephropathy, type II diabetes foot gangrene, combined with heart valve disease, hypoalbuminemia, double kidney cyst, moderate anemia, pleural effusion, hyperkalemia, pulmonary infection, and total heart failure. The patient was treated by the Qi-acupuncture therapy of TCM in combination with Chinese and Western medicine Medical treatment made the patient significantly better and discharged.

Effect of Wumeiwan on Cytokines TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8,IL-10 and Expression of NF-κBp65 in Rats with Ulcerative Colitis

The effects of Wumeiwan （WMW） on TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10 and NF-κBp65 in rats with ulcerative colitis （UC） were investigated, the curative effectiveness of WMW vs salicylazosulfapyridine （SASP） was compared, and the action mechanism was analyzed. Fifty-Six Sprague-Dawley （SD） rats were randomly divided into four groups （n=14 in each group, with equal ratio of male and female）： normal control group, model group, SASP group, and WMW group. Except normal control group, the rat UC models in the remaining three groups were established using the method of 2.4-dinitrochlorobenzene （DNCB） immunization and acetic acid local enema. The rats in model group, SASP group, and WMW group were treated with distilled water, SASP, and WMW respectively. The changes in the symptoms and signs were observed, and levels of IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, IL-10 and the expression of NF-κBp65 in the colonic tissues were statistically analyzed. The results showed that the levels of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α were significantly increased （P〈0.01）, while those of IL-10 significantly reduced （P〈0.01） after establishment of rat UC models as compared with normal control group. The levels of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α were obviously lower, but the level of IL-10 was obviously higher in WMW and SASP groups than those in model group （P〈0.05）. The levels of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α were lower, while the level oflL-10 was higher in WMW group than in SASP group. NF-κBp65 was expressed negatively or weakly in normal colonic tissues. The positive expression rate of NF-κBp65 in WMW group and SASP group was obviously lower than in model group （P〈0.01）, and there was significant difference between WMW group and SASP group （P〈0.05）. It was concluded that rat UC model was established successfully. WMW could up-regulate the expression of IL-10, down-regulate the expression of TNF-α, IL-6, IL-8, and inhibit the NF-κBp65 activity to adjust immune function, indicating WMW had better curative effects on UC in rats.

OBSERVATION OF THE EFFECTS OF ZHENXUANYIN ON CBF OF RATS WITH VERTEBROARTERIAL ISCHEMIA AND CBF OF HEALTHY RATS

In order to observe the improvement effects of Zhenxuanyin (ZXY) to the rats vertebral artery infarction, it's prevention ability to the Pulsinelli's 4 vessel occlusion (4VO) rats model and it's influences to the normal rats brain. The infarction of the rats vertebral artery (vertebral 2 VO) and the 4VO rats model were achieved through electrocoagulation. 123 I IMP was used to trace cerebral blood flow (CBF). Except of cerebral cortex, the blood flow of each region decreased. Dosage of ZXY at 0 3 g/kg was able to normalize the decreased blood flows in cerebral regions. Healthy rats were medicated at a daily 0 3 g/kg and 1 g/kg dosage of ZXY. At the end of 1 week, they were made into 4VO model rats. No effective prevention effect was found. ZXY had no obvious effect on the CBF of normal rats. Vertebral 2 vessel occlusion is similar to clinical mild cerebral inefficient blood supply, therefore closer to the model of clinical VID. ZXY is able to normalize this incomplete compensation state, which is consistent with the curative effect on Pulsinelli's 4VO model rats. The best curative dosage of ZXY does not improve normal rats' CBF implied that ZXY used to cure regional cerebral ischemia at the acute stage does not dilate the cerebral blood vessel in the normal region, thus does not cause blood stealing in the brain 〔5〕 , Therefore, ZXY is an ideal CBF improving agent.

Overview of effect of traditional Chinese medicine on diabetic kidney disease by regulating podocyte

Diabetic kidney disease has now become the leading cause of end-stage renal disease.Podocytes are an important filtration barrier of the glomerulus,and their damage plays an important role in the occurrence and progression of glomerular sclerosis and DKD.This article discusses the molecular mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine on the protection of podocyte damage in diabetic kidney disease from the aspects of anti-oxidative stress,activating autophagy,and regulating signal pathways,in order to further deepen the modern material basis theory of traditional Chinese medicine treatment and provide reference for the treatment of DKD.

Mechanism of Shugan Lidan decoction in treating chronic calculous cholecystitis

Chronic calculous cholecystitis is a common clinical medical disease,which is classified as"hypochondriac pain"in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).It is caused by liver failure and stagnation of liver qi.Therefore,the method of Soothing the liver and promoting bile flow is often used for regulating and harmonizing qi and blood.This paper discusses its mechanism of action,and points out that Shugan Lidan decoction has great effect on the treatment of chronic calculous cholecystitis,especially in the early treatment of the disease and delaying the progress of the disease,which provides help for the clinical treatment of chronic calculous cholecystitis.

Clinical Observation on Syndrome Differentiation Staging Therapy of Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

Objective: To observe the effect of traditional Chinese medicine in Syndrome Differentiation Staging therapy （SDST） in treating central serous chorioretinopathy （CSC）. Methods: One hundred patients of CSC were divided into two groups, the TCM group and the control group, and were treated with SDST and western medicine respectively. Results: The total effective rate of the two groups was 98 % and 82 % respectively and their mean cure time 35 ± 7.0 days and 39 ± 8.8 days respectively. Comparison between the two groups showed significant difference （P＜0.05）, effect in the TCM group was superior to that in the control group.Conclusion: SDST treatment was helpful in curing CSC. Its basic action is to relieve Qi stagnation and blood stasis, which were taken as the basic physiopathologic change of CSC. And the staging therapy could enhance the therapeutic effect in different stages of the disease.

Effect of Detoxification,Removing Stasis and Nourishing Yin Method on Corticosteroid-induced Hyperlipidemia in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Objective： To observe the effect of TCM therapy for detoxification, removing stasis, and nourishing yin on corticosteroid-induced hyperlipemia in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus （SLE）, and to investigate its mechanism. Methods： One hundred and seventy patients with SLE were randomly assigned to the integrative medicine group （IM group） and the Western medicine group （WM group）, 85 in each group. Also, 30 healthy subjects selected from blood donors were enrolled in the normal control （NC） group. All patients were treated mainly with prednisone, while those in the IM group were given TCM therapy additionally, and the therapeutic course for both groups was 6 successive months. The changes of serum total cholesterol （TC）, triglyceride （TG）, high density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C）, low density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C）, very low density lipoprotein cholesterol （VLDL-C） and apolipoprotein A （ApoA） were determined and observed. A 2-year follow-up study was carried out in 16 patients of the WM group and 25 of the IM group. Results： Before treatment, no significant difference had been found among the three groups in the serum levels of lipids and lipoproteins. After the 6-month treatment, as compared with the WM group, the IM group showed lower levels of TC, TG, LDL-C, and VLDL-C （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01） and higher levels of HDL-C and ApoA （P〈0.05）. A similar effect was also shown by the follow-up study in the IM group （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. Conclusion： TCM therapy for detoxification, removing stasis, and nourishing yin can effectively regulate the levels of serum lipids and lipoproteins in preventing and treating SLE patients with corticosteroid-induced hyperlipemia.
