This compact fiber laser is based on a 21-mm-long homemade Tm3+-doped germanate glass fiber. Over 100-mW stable continuous-wave single transverse and longitudinal mode lasing at 195Ohm are achieved. The measured relative intensity noise is less than -135dB/Hz at frequencies over 5 MHz. The signal-to-noise ratio of the laser is larger than 72dB, and the laser linewidth is less than 6kHz, while the obtained linear polarization extinction ratio is higher than 22 dB.展开更多

A half ringy absorbing perfectly matched layer (PML) is introduced to enclose the cavity, and the PML formulations for both TM and TE polarizations are presented. Existence, uniqueness and convergence of the PML solutions are considered. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the PML method is efficient and accurate for solving cavity scattering problems.展开更多

A two-dimension complex lattice photonic crystal is proposed. The photonic crystal is composed of complex lattices with triangular structure, and each single cell is surrounded by six scatterers in an hexagon. The photonic band gaps are calculated based on the plane wave expansion (PWE) method. The results indicate that the photonic crystal has tunable large TM polarization band gap, and a gap-midgap ra...展开更多
