Taibai Mountains,located at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains,are composed of the Yuan Taibai Mountain(also known as East Taibai Mountain),Aoshan Mountain(also known as West Taibai Mountain)and their connecti...Taibai Mountains,located at the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains,are composed of the Yuan Taibai Mountain(also known as East Taibai Mountain),Aoshan Mountain(also known as West Taibai Mountain)and their connection part.With its complex geographical and climatic conditions,Taibai Mountains are extremely rich in wild plant resources.Based on field investigation,literature review and specimen identification,wild vascular plants resources and their diversity in Taibai Mountains were studied by the sixth Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)Resources Scientific Expedition Team of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University.222 species of vascular plants belonging to 163 genera and 63 families were collected during July 2012 in this area,and most of the plants are angiosperms.The families with more species are Liliaceae,Ranunculaceae,Asteraceae,Rosaceae,and Saxifragaceae,and the dominant genus are Aconitum,Sedum,Eleutherococcus,Pedicularis,Polygonatum,and Patrinia.In terms of life form,perennial herbs are the main species,accounting for 72.97%of the total species,with others being some annual(or biennial)herbs,shrubs and lianas.Among all the collected vascular plants,170 species of them are medicinal vascular plants,accounting for 76.58%of the total.Most of the medicinal parts are roots and rhizomes,followed by the whole plants.Finally,on the basis of investigation and study,some suggestions are put forward to strengthen the protection and utilization of plant resources in Taibai Mountains.展开更多
This paper provided full and accurate material for Taibai Mountain eco-tourism and forecasted its potential market through investigating on the visitors of Taibai Mountain Nature Reserve and the surrounding forest par...This paper provided full and accurate material for Taibai Mountain eco-tourism and forecasted its potential market through investigating on the visitors of Taibai Mountain Nature Reserve and the surrounding forest parks eco-tourism tourist.By using Excel and mapping method,this study described the sample characteristics and tourist behavior.In addition,this paper also carried on descriptive statistics factorial analysis by using SPSS statistics software,analyzed the potential market according to tourists' characteristics of Taibai Mountain.The survey results showed that visitors of Taibai Mountain Nature Reserve mainly were middle-income young people,and the majority of tourists were with higher education.With the purpose of enjoying the scenery and relaxing,tourists were interested in natural ecological landscape of Taibai Mountain Nature Reserve.Tourists mainly came from Shaanxi Province and preferred to day trip,the travel route was single.There were a small number of tourists travelling for business,conference and medical treatment in Taibai Mountain Nature Reserve.According to the analysis,related countermeasures were given in this paper as the following:① Promoting activities should be focused on the big or medium cities in Shaanxi Province,such as Xi'an,Xianyang,Baoji,etc..Meanwhile,various means should be adopted to expand its influence and raise awareness around the provincial cities for attracting tourists.② Strengthening the infrastructure construction and improving comprehensive tourist reception capacity with the pursuit of the diversity of tourism resources,and create a good environment for the tourism market;③ Focusing on tourism product development;④ Protecting the ecological resources and developing ecotourism.展开更多
The compilation of 1:250,000 vegetation type map in the North-South transitional zone and 1:50,000 vegetation type maps in typical mountainous areas is one of the main tasks of Integrated Scientific Investigation of t...The compilation of 1:250,000 vegetation type map in the North-South transitional zone and 1:50,000 vegetation type maps in typical mountainous areas is one of the main tasks of Integrated Scientific Investigation of the North-South Transitional Zone of China.In the past,vegetation type maps were compiled by a large number of ground field surveys.Although the field survey method is accurate,it is not only time-consuming,but also only covers a small area due to the limitations of physical environment conditions.Remote sensing data can make up for the limitation of field survey because of its full coverage.However,there are still some difficulties and bottlenecks in the extraction of remote sensing information of vegetation types,especially in the automatic extraction.As an example of the compilation of 1:50,000 vegetation type map,this paper explores and studies the remote sensing extraction and mapping methods of vegetation type with medium and large scales based on mountain altitudinal belts of Taibai Mountain,using multi-temporal high resolution remote sensing data,ground survey data,previous vegetation type map and forest survey data.The results show that:1)mountain altitudinal belts can effectively support remote sensing classification and mapping of 1:50,000 vegetation type map in mountain areas.Terrain constraint factors with mountain altitudinal belt information can be generated by mountain altitudinal belts and 1:10,000 Digital Surface Model(DSM)data of Taibai Mountain.Combining the terrain constraint factors with multi-temporal and high-resolution remote sensing data,ground survey data and previous small-scale vegetation type map data,the vegetation types at all levels can be extracted effectively.2)The basic remote sensing interpretation and mapping process for typical mountains is interpretation of vegetation type-groups→interpretation of vegetation formation groups,formations and subformations→interpretation and classification of vegetation types&subtypes,which is a combination method of top-down method and bottom-up method,not the top-down or the bottom-up classification according to the level of mapping units.The results of this study provide a demonstration and scientific basis for the compilation of large and medium scale vegetation type maps.展开更多
