Objective: To explore the application effect of flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method in clinical skills teaching of standardized training for resident doctors of traditional Chinese M...Objective: To explore the application effect of flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method in clinical skills teaching of standardized training for resident doctors of traditional Chinese Medicine. Methods: The study used the experimental control method. The study lasted from September to November 2022. The subjects of this study were 49 students of standardized training for resident doctors of traditional Chinese Medicine from grades 2020, 2021 and 2022 of Dazhou integrated TCM & Western Medicine Hospital. They were randomly divided into experiment group (25) and control group (24). The experiment group adopted flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method, and the control group adopted traditional teaching method. The teaching content was 4 basic clinical skill projects, including four diagnoses of traditional Chinese Medicine, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, dressing change procedure, acupuncture and massage. The evaluation method was carried out by comparing the students’ performance and a self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the students’ evaluation of the teaching method. Results: The test scores of total scores in the experimental group (90.12 ± 5.89) were all higher than those in the control group (81.47 ± 7.96) (t = 4.53, P P Conclusions: The teaching process of the flipped classroom combined with problem-based learning teaching method is conducive to improving the efficiency of classroom teaching, cultivating students’ self-learning ability, and enhancing students’ willingness to learn.展开更多

The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and the South African Schools Act 84 of 1996 emphasise teaching and learning through any mother tongue, a learner would understand best. Section 29(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa categorically states that: "Everyone has the right to receive education in the official language or languages of their choice in public educational institutions where that education is reasonably practicable". However, most text books written in English have been prescribed at many schools. One is not certain whether the subjects are taught in English or in the indigenous language at these schools. In the end, those teachers use the mother tongue, together with English, in teaching learners. This result in code switching and code mixing takes place in classes, which are meant to facilitate communication across barriers of colour, language, and region, while creating an environment in which respect for languages other than one's own would be encouraged. Teaching and learning in one's mother tongue promotes full participation in the economy of the country. The aim of the paper is to investigate teaching and learning in Vhembe primary schools of the Limpopo Province in South Africa, within the framework of existing legislation. This will be compared with empirical evidence. The researcher seeks to establish what language(s) primary schools use for teaching and learning. China’s booming economy is indeed one of the main reasons for the popularity of learning Chinese as a foreign language(henceforth CFL).With this growing interest in CFL,Ireland is likely to be behind global trends as...China’s booming economy is indeed one of the main reasons for the popularity of learning Chinese as a foreign language(henceforth CFL).With this growing interest in CFL,Ireland is likely to be behind global trends as Chinese is not yet included as a State-examined subject at any level in the Irish schooling system.Chinese language teaching(henceforth CLT)began to develop significantly in formal UK schooling during 2004-2005(Zhang&Li,2010),whereas the earliest occurrence of CLT seen in the Irish education system was in 2006-2007 when two Confucius Institutes were set up in Ireland.During this time,Mandarin Chinese was also introduced first as a subject and later as a degree in some higher education institutions in Ireland.The current study reviews the past and present of CLT in Ireland at second and tertiary level.This information,together with survey data collected among approximately 3,700 students learning CFL in Irish schools as a subject not examined by the State,provides recommendations for a future State-examined CFL course to be introduced to Irish secondary schools.These recommendations include items such as contact hours,tasks,and content to be implemented in the classroom.Further recommendations are also supplied in relation to the bridging of secondary and tertiary-level CLT.These recommendations come in light of former Irish Minister for Education Richard Bruton's announcement that Chinese will be taught on the State-examined school curriculum as part of the Languages Connect strategy plan.展开更多

文摘As a Chinese dialect that bears the greatest resemblance to Standard Mandarin,Northeastern Mandarin is the closest relative of Standard Mandarin in terms of vocabularies,rhetorical devices and grammatical rules.The traditional Chinese folk culture of Errenzhuan(two-people rotation)1 is an epitome of traditional Chinese culture,full of humor and wittiness.This paper aims to explore the necessity and feasibility of incorporating Errenzhuan into teaching Chinese as a foreign language as a way to spark greater student interest,increase the fun of learning and enrich teaching methods,which ultimately serves to improve the quality of Chinese teaching worldwide,spread traditional Chinese folk culture and strengthen China’s cultural confidence.
文摘China’s booming economy is indeed one of the main reasons for the popularity of learning Chinese as a foreign language(henceforth CFL).With this growing interest in CFL,Ireland is likely to be behind global trends as Chinese is not yet included as a State-examined subject at any level in the Irish schooling system.Chinese language teaching(henceforth CLT)began to develop significantly in formal UK schooling during 2004-2005(Zhang&Li,2010),whereas the earliest occurrence of CLT seen in the Irish education system was in 2006-2007 when two Confucius Institutes were set up in Ireland.During this time,Mandarin Chinese was also introduced first as a subject and later as a degree in some higher education institutions in Ireland.The current study reviews the past and present of CLT in Ireland at second and tertiary level.This information,together with survey data collected among approximately 3,700 students learning CFL in Irish schools as a subject not examined by the State,provides recommendations for a future State-examined CFL course to be introduced to Irish secondary schools.These recommendations include items such as contact hours,tasks,and content to be implemented in the classroom.Further recommendations are also supplied in relation to the bridging of secondary and tertiary-level CLT.These recommendations come in light of former Irish Minister for Education Richard Bruton's announcement that Chinese will be taught on the State-examined school curriculum as part of the Languages Connect strategy plan.
文摘This study mainly discussed the effects of three tasks of translating authentic business report on L2 vocabulary learning.160 students were chosen from different majors by a pre-task proficiency test.The findings revealed that task 3 was the optimum task in vo-cabulary gain and direct vocabulary learning had a more facilitated power than incidental vocabulary learning in this translation task forthe learners with the lowest level of vocabulary.This study also suggested that the caution of need and evaluation needed to be adjustedand paid for the learners with the lowest vocabulary level.
