Humanistic Approach and Affective Factors in Foreign Language Teaching

In foreign language teaching, there appear a lot of approaches. This essay lays special stress on humanistic approach and analyses the influence of some important affective factors on language learning, for the purpose of inviting teachers＇ attention to students＇ emotions in fulfilling their teaching task.

A Recommendation Method for Highly Sparse Dataset Based on Teaching Recommendation Factorization Machines

There is no reasonable scientific basis for selecting the excellent teachers of the school’s courses.To solve the practical problem,we firstly give a series of normalization models for defining the key attributes of teachers’professional foundation,course difficulty coefficient,and comprehensive evaluation of teaching.Then,we define a partial weight function to calculate the key attributes,and obtain the partial recommendation values.Next,we construct a highly sparse Teaching Recommendation Factorization Machines(TRFMs)model,which takes the 5-tuples relation including teacher,course,teachers’professional foundation,course difficulty,teaching evaluation as the feature vector,and take partial recommendation value as the recommendation label.Finally,we design a novel Top-N excellent teacher recommendation algorithm based on TRFMs by course classification on the highly sparse dataset.Experimental results show that the proposed TRFMs and recommendation algorithm can accurately realize the recommendation of excellent teachers on a highly sparse historical teaching dataset.The recommendation accuracy is superior to that of the three-dimensional tensor decomposition model algorithm which also solves sparse datasets.The proposed method can be used as a new recommendation method applied to the teaching arrangements in all kinds of schools,which can effectively improve the teaching quality.

Analysis on the Relationship among Memorizing Ability, Note-taking, and Psychological Factors in Interpretation Teaching

Since China＇s reform and accession to the world trade organization （WTO）, the international labor division, cooperation, and communication of production have been a direction of the global productivity development. The expansion of the world trade organization and the growth of multinational corporations have promoted China＇s market economy to head for internationalization; the exchanges of all countries＇ science and technology, culture, and education have become increasingly frequent and beyond the borders very early, so opening-up has become a world trend. China is playing an important role in this historical process. In this situation, the importance of language translation is increasing day by day, and an unprecedented prosperous situation has especially appeared to the interpretation. In order to accord with this new historical situation, many colleges and universities have set up language translation program and have offered interpretation course. To promote the economic development of China and train more senior interpreters, the studies of interpretation teaching and the improvement of interpretation teaching quality have been particularly important. In this paper, the relationship among memory, note-taking, and psychological factors are analyzed.

Sociocultural Factors and Foreign Language Learning and Teaching

Issues caused by different social cultures A clulture has a close connection with a particular language and plays an improtant role in the learn-ing and teaching of it.As we know,every nation has its own culture and the cultures of nations of theworld,generally,are different from each other.Owing to the disparities in culture,to people whospeak different languages,a word or phrase used to express good intention may surprise or irritate peo-ple;a common sentence can sometimes amuse one person greatly and cause laughter,but‘strange e-nough’,it can be too,dull enough in the eyes of another person with different culture background.

Affective Factors in the Communicative Classroom

Recent years has witnessed the great efforts made to investigate the relationship between language and affective factors. This essay serves both to focus awareness on the role of affective factors in the communicative classroom and to show how affective factors influence many different aspects of communicative language teaching/learning. A survey is also conducted on the communicative language teaching to illustrate affective factors in the communicative classroom.
