Meth...Purpose: This study aimed to develop teaching materials to prevent the dangers of ablution and bathing infants, based on the dangerous experiences of mothers and family members, and examine their appropriateness. Methods: A total of 20 midwives and public health nurses were selected as participants. Teaching materials and anonymous self-administered questionnaires were distributed, and the participants were asked to view the teaching materials and fill in the questionnaires. Retrieval was done by mail. The teaching materials included digital content, such as videos, sounds, and characters, which incorporated dangerous situations, preventions, and innovations in ablution and bathing procedures. The analysis was conducted by simple tabulation for each survey item. The free description was coded to preserve anonymity. This study was conducted with the approval of the Research Ethics Review Board of the authors’ affiliated university. Results: The teaching materials were found to be appropriate in terms of suitability to purpose, degree of difficulty of content, ease of viewing the videos, validity of time, appropriateness of expression, and usability. Conclusions: Ablution teaching materials that are used at the present time do not focus on dangers, and to date, no resources on bathing have been used as teaching materials. The created teaching materials in this study can be viewed multiple times, and mothers and family members who are unfamiliar with ablution and bathing can acquire knowledge regarding dangers and danger prevention. The addition of specific preventive measures and countermeasures for the occurrence of danger, along with practice, would result in the development of further appropriate teaching materials to reduce danger and alleviate anxiety.展开更多

Although research on teaching materials use has important implications for materials development,little literature examines how teachers actually use materials in the classroom.The present study,taking the theoretical...Although research on teaching materials use has important implications for materials development,little literature examines how teachers actually use materials in the classroom.The present study,taking the theoretical framework for using and evaluating Production-Oriented Approach(POA)teaching materials(Wen,2017),explores the procedure and the rationale of an experienced Chinese university EFL teacher’s use of POA teaching materials.Multiple methods were employed in data collection,including classroom observations,teacher interviews,the teacher’s lesson plans,and PowerPoints,as well as students’written and oral products.Data analysis showed that the teacher followed a three-phase process of materials use.Before class,teaching objectives were set,materials were selected,adapted,and then transformed into teaching activities.During class,the teaching activities were implemented with the materials.After class,the effectiveness of using the materials was assessed.The study revealed that the teacher played an active role in practicing the essential POA principles of“productive-objectives-determined”and“input-in-service-to-output”in the entire process of material use.展开更多

In this study, PC-based electronic teaching/learning materials for descriptive geometry are crea...Descriptive geometry is very important and recognized as a basic skill and knowledge for mechanical engineering student. In this study, PC-based electronic teaching/learning materials for descriptive geometry are created using Flash, which is a typical animation creator. Furthermore, several axonometric representations, created by 3D-CAD, SolidWorks, for 3D objects are auxiliary materials to promote understanding of descriptive geometry. The axonometric representations in 3D-CAD are also dynamic, in other words, a viewpoint can be moved free. The movement of 3D model in a PC monitor can be recorded using a normal function of SolidWorks and replayed by typical animation software. The developed materials are excellent at accuracy of drawing, repeatability of self-study and visual attraction in comparison to oral presentation using still image and inaccurate drawing on a textbook or blackboard in a classroom. Actually, questionnaire survey results present favorable impressions from student-users, although they point out the further improvement in the replaying speed. The replaying speed can be controlled easily by using a normal function of Flash. In addition, usual playback software for animation has functions of pause and replay on demand and, thus, it is not contro-versial.展开更多

Under this influence, primary school students’ independent reading has also been changed. However, due to limited self-control and understanding, primary school students face certain difficulties when using online teaching platforms for independent reading. Advantages and disadvantages of distance learning based on the network teaching platform were summarized in this paper. A one-year experiment study was carried out on our school fifth-grade students in independent reading using WeChat campus platform considering their current situation and existing problems of independent reading. In experiment study an independent reading mode was introduced. The results show that this reading mode can significantly improve students’ independent reading ability.展开更多

The axonometric representations in 3D-CAD are also dynamic, in other words, a viewpoint can be moved free. The movement of 3D model in a PC monitor can be recorded using a normal function of SolidWorks and replayed by typical animation software. The developed materials are excellent at accuracy of drawing, repeatability of self-study and visual attraction in comparison to oral presentation using still image and inaccurate drawing on a textbook or blackboard in a classroom. Actually, questionnaire survey results present favorable impressions from student-users, although they point out the further improvement in the replaying speed. The replaying speed can be controlled easily by using a normal function of Flash. In addition, usual playback software for animation has functions of pause and replay on demand and, thus, it is not contro-versial.
文摘The development of information technology, especially the rise of online teaching platforms, has changed the way people read and the methods they use. Under this influence, primary school students’ independent reading has also been changed. However, due to limited self-control and understanding, primary school students face certain difficulties when using online teaching platforms for independent reading. Advantages and disadvantages of distance learning based on the network teaching platform were summarized in this paper. A one-year experiment study was carried out on our school fifth-grade students in independent reading using WeChat campus platform considering their current situation and existing problems of independent reading. In experiment study an independent reading mode was introduced. The results show that this reading mode can significantly improve students’ independent reading ability.
