Therefore, the author studies the impact ofthe popularization of scientific and technological achievements in sports colleges and universities from the perspective of healthyChina. College physical education should be guided by the "healthy China" strategic goal, change the teaching concept, improvethe teacher's own quality, reform the curriculum and evaluation system, cultivate students' health awareness and exercise habits,and then improve the overall quality of students' sports. Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT), located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai—Tibet Plateau, a higher education and research institution with a focus on geosciences, has paid special attention to scientific res... Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT), located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai—Tibet Plateau, a higher education and research institution with a focus on geosciences, has paid special attention to scientific research on Q—T Plateau. In the earlier 1950s Professor Zhang Zhuoyuan, the former president of CDUT and Professor Ren Tianpei joined the geological survey in Tibet as members of the Tibetan geological working group organized by the Central Government of China. Since the 1980s, research on the Q—T Plateau has reached a golden age, and recognized this, CDUT established the Resources and Environment Research Center of Qinghai—Tibet Plateau in order to lead and coordinate the research around the Plateau continuously and smoothly. There are often more than 50 geologists involved in research during any given year. Scientists from CDUT are now conducting many kinds of research programs covering the whole area of the Plateau, from the Himalayas in the south to the Tianshan Mountains in the north, from the Longmen Mountains and the West Yunnan Plateau in the east to Ali area in the west. Scientists from CDUT have completed cooperative research programs with foreign scientists from the U. S., France, U.K., Japan, Austria, Canada, Germany and Australia. Research subjects include National Key Basic Research, State Scientific Key Projects, National Natural Scientific Foundation Projects, National Outstanding Young Scientists Foundation Projects, as well as Basic Geological Survey, Mineral Resources Evaluation, Analysis of Potential Oil and Gas Resources, Geohazard Protection.. More than 40 projects and 6 geological maps in different scales (1∶1000000, 1∶200000, 1∶50000) have been completed.. Research funding has increased to billions of yuan. Thousands relevant research papers and works have been published. More than 20 projects have won scientific achievement awards at national, ministerial and provincial levels. Meanwhile, a research group of young and middle\|aged scientists led by Prof. Wang Chengshan has formed and is determined to devote itself to the Q—T geological research. Many of them have broken established rules and have become professors or gained prizes. To strengthen Q—T research, the Ministry of Land and Resources specially established the Laboratory of Continental Dynamics of the Qianghai—Tibet Plateau at CDUT in 1999. Academicians, Li Tingdong and Liu Baojun, are the Honorary Directors of the Lab and the Academic Committee of the Lab respectively. Mechanical behavior of embankments overlying on loose subgrade stabilized by deep mixed columns 被引量:1

Deep mixed column (DMC) is known as one of the effective methods for stabilizing the natural earth beneath road or railway embankments to control stability and settlements under traffic loads. The load distribution mechanism of embankment overlying on loose subgrades stabilized with DMCs considerably depends on the columns' mechanical and geometrical specifications. The present study uses the laboratory investigation to understand the behavior of embankments lying on loose sandy subgrade in three different conditions: (1) subgrade without reinforcement, (2) subgrade reinforced with DMCs in a triangular pattern and horizontal plan, and (3) subgrade reinforced with DMCs in a square pattern and horizontal plan. For this purpose, by adopting the scale factor of 1:10, a reference embankment with 20 cm height, 250 cm length, and 93% maximum dry density achieved in standard Proctor compaction test was constructed over a 70 cm thick loose sandy bed with the relative density of 50% in a loading chamber, and its load-displacement behavior was evaluated until the failure occurred. In the next two tests, DMCs (with 10 cm diameter, 40 cm length, and 25 cm center-to-center spacing) were placed in groups in two different patterns (square and triangular) in the same sandy bed beneath the embankment and, consequently, the embankments were constructed over the reinforced subgrades and gradually loaded until the failure happened. In all the three tests, the load-displacement behaviors of the embankment and the selected DMCs were instrumented for monitoring purpose. The obtained results implied 64% increase in failure load and 40% decrease in embankment crest settlement when using the square pattern of DMCs compared with those of the reference embankment, while these values were 63% and 12%, respectively, for DMCs in triangular pattern. This confirmed generally better performance of DMCs with a triangular pattern. 展开更多
