Influencing Factors of Chinese Telecom Operators＇ EVA

To analyze the positive influencing factors of Chinese telecom operators' EVA(Economic Value Added),this paper selects fifteen indicators based on the enterprise features of telecom operators and telecommunications industry characteristics,and then classifies these indicators into the following factors:operation scale,profitability,solvency and asset management ability by factor analysis.This paper also gives the priorities of these four factors by regression analysis,of which the operation scale is the most important factor.The research results point out a clear method for the telecom operatorsto increase their EVA in order to meet the performance appraisal from State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

Capacity Openness Boosts Digitization Transformation of Telecom Operators

With the emergence of digital transformation success stories,more and more enterprises are launching digital solutions to improve business efficiency or achieve optimal revenue growth.The traditional communication market tends to be saturated,and the digital transformation of telecom operators is imminent.This article combining the development trend of telecom operators’product business and the application situation of the pilot summarizes the innovative application categories that telecom operators continue to launch based on their own advantages and in response to the needs of the industry.This article focuses on the transformation of security capabilities in communication services,big data,Internet of Things,artificial intelligence,unified authentication and network information security,and deeply analyzes the business characteristics and application modes from the aspects of resource integration,open platform construction,new connection construction,and innovative business development.This article puts forward suggestions for the security development of telecom operators,and provides basic research content for the subsequent research on the innovative application of telecom operators’capability openness.

Identification of Telecom Operators' Core Distribution Channels Based on Strategic Value Evaluation System

The strategic value evaluation ofphysical channels is the main purpose of thispaper.To interpret this value,we refine finance,location and competition dimensions.Atotal of 166 social high-star channels are selected as empirical samples.Practice showsthat all second-layer indicators can be quantified by information system or artificial collection.The weight of three first-layer indicatorscan be defined by correlation analysis.The valuecomprehensive ranking of the channels is clearbased on the first-layer and second-layer indicators.In the sample group in this study,theweight of location value is higher.The resultson channels' strategic value research may provide further insights on business value,servicevalue and other related fields.

Analyzing the Operational Performance Migration of Telecom Operators

Due to the rapid development of mobile Internet services, such as Skype and WeChat, traditional telecom services have suffered a large decline in the business volumes in recent years. Thus, telecom operators pay much attention to analyzing the changes of the enterprise performance, in order to adjust market strategies in time. In this paper, we propose a new methodology to analyze the operation data of telecom operators dynamically,which can characterize the changing process of the operating states and predict the developing trends. In particular, the proposed methodology contains two steps: migration pattern analysis and trajectory pattern analysis.Firstly, migration analysis is based on the changing of operating states between two points-in-time, which is referred to as the migration paths. Applying the clustering analysis to the migration paths can obtain the migration patterns, which characterize the changing feature of telecom operators during a short period, e.g. one month. Secondly, we combine a sequence of consecutive migration paths to obtain the migration trajectory. Through analyzing different trajectories based on the hierarchical cluster method and the Markov chain model, we obtain the trajectory patterns,which describe the changing progress during a relatively long period, e.g. one year. Based on the trajectory patterns, we can predict the possible performance changes. Finally, we apply the proposed method to a Chinese telecom operator for an empirical research, and has obtained a lot of development rules which provides insights into current telecom.

Sustainable growth research–A study on the telecom operators in China

In recent years,the telecom industry has faced digital transformation challenges and fierce market competition.The challenges push telecom operators to grow their subscriber bases by offering lower prices and improved services and new features,which puts pressure on operators’profitability.In addition,the rise of Internet companies gradually erodes the profit of the traditional telecom operators.Therefore,paying attention to the critical factors impacting firm sustainable growth can help operators get out of the predicament.Based on the resource-based view(RBV),this study explores the factors that influence the firm sustainable growth.Multiple regression model is applied to empirically test the hypotheses with longitudinal time-series panel data from major telecom operators in China.The study provides empirical evidence for sustainable growth research and useful insights for practitioners on the way to keep sustainable growth.

Research on index system of sustainable development of telecom operator

Considering the characteristics of the communication industry,the sustainable development requirements of the enterprise,the synergy between current and future development and the external stakeholder interest of the enterprise,the sustainable development index system of telecom operator was constructed with three aspects: operation management ability,innovation development ability and strategic leading ability. The index system was designed and a careful case of a telecom operator and its subsidiaries was also studied. The design elements and assessment requirements of the index were also presented clearly. The evaluation and analysis of the index can help enterprises effectively identify the key shortcomings of sustainable development,and better improve the sustainable development ability.
