Through analyzing Carter' s The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories,it is meant to expose the fact that the traditional function of fairy tales,namely the vehicle to enslave and indoctrinate children,has been subverted as a " loudspeaker" for long restrained,voiceless fe males to speak out their rights and identities,so as to dismantle the deeply-rooted patriarchy.

Expression and Application of Fairy Tale Elements in Experiential Agricultural Garden:A Case Study of Ji'an Shiyang Fairy Tale Garden

After more than 30 years of development,leisure agriculture has developed rapidly as a new star of China's emerging industries.With the upsurge of the nostalgic market and the parent-child market,the application of fairy tale elements in the experiential agricultural garden has enhanced the product competitiveness of the experiential agricultural garden.Through the application and expression of the material elements,spiritual elements and emotional elements in the fairy tales in the experiential agricultural garden,the fairy tales are expressed by reality,and the reality is beautiful by fairy tales.The fairy tale elements are used to increase the vitality of the agricultural park,and the good medicine in childhood is used to cure the"sequelae of stress",relieve the mental stress that people in the city cannot relieve,and regain fun dreams of childhood.Taking the planning of Ji an Shiyang Fairy Tale Garden as an example,the expression and application of fairy tale elements in the experiential agricultural garden are explored,and the expression of material,spiritual and emotional elements in the fairy tale is expounded from the planning level,design level and scheme level.

On Culture-Bound Words in the Brothers＇ Grimm Fairy Tales and Their Equivalents in English Translations

The aim of the article is to connect the model of cognitive metonymy with the model of types of denotative equivalence highlighting the explanatory potential of the model of cognitive metonymy for describing and clarifying the use and occurrence of word equivalents in the English translations of the Brothers＇ Grimm fairy tales by Margaret Taylor （1914） and Jack Zipes （1987）. The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm （GFT） can be seen in a wide sense as a source of the history of culture and social life in the German speaking countries of the nineteenth century. Culture-bound words refer to a special cultural knowledge, which is in a historical sense not or not completely compatible with the structure of knowledge in our present days, and refer to a common cultural knowledge of the community of German speaking countries as well. This article describes the ways of using English equivalents in the translations of the GFT including lexical and cognitive procedures, which stand behind the use of certain equivalents. This leads to the theoretical question： Is it possible to extend the model of denotative equivalence using features of conceptual metonymy in rendering culture-bound words in the target texts？ Investigating this, there can be established modifications in the theory of conceptual metonymy in the framework of cognitive linguistics.

Develop the Adult Value in Andersen's Fairy Tales from Humanitarianism

The Andersen’s fairy tales have made many research results since 20thcentury,but they mainly concentrate on its effect on children.Andersen’s Fairy Tales characterized by their"childishness",are unconsciously referred to as"kids reading".People don’t understand the real meaning of Andersen’s fairy tales.This paper attempts to regard Anderson’s Fairy Tales as a great literary work but not only a fairy tales for children to read.And do a detailed research about"the adult value"in Andersen’s fairy tales from humanitarianism in the book.The whole paper is divided into three parts.Apart from the introduction,the paper starts with a series of specific examples and analysis about humanitarianism in the book.Upon that,it carries on analysis of adult value in Andersen’s Fairy Tales based on some serious problems in nowadays society.It seeks to expound the quality and contemporary value of Andersen’s fairy tales.And it also attempts to put it into good use for guiding the adults and help to solve social problems to some degree.

On Subversion of Traditional Male and Female Images in Angela Cater's Modern Fairy Tales

Angela Carter is a famous contemporary British female writer with a variety of creative styles, famous for Gothic style, magic realism and new feminism. As one of the representatives of feminist writers in the last century, Angela Carter devoted her life to prosecuting patriarchal society from the perspective of women, calling on women to find themselves and realize personality libera-tion. At the same time, she is also a rational feminist, advocating the establishment of harmonious rather than antagonistic social re-lations with men and women.This article will mainly use text analysis and contrast and comparison to study the image of the male and female image in Angela Carter's modern fairy tale, and explore the reasons. On the basis of the text analysis, this paper will study the transformation of female image from the change of female status and personality. The laws of comparison and comparison will be used to explore the differences between men and women in the traditional fairy tale and the modern fairy tale of Angela Cart-er. The study found that in Carter's reconstruction of the fairy tale, the female image dares to break through the inherent status, and constantly launches the impact on the men's rights, seeking individual independence and self-liberation, and the male image is more diversified and more realistic and vivid. Through this study, it is hoped that the reader will have a deeper and more compre-hensive understanding of Angela Carter and his work, and find out the new feminist connotation contained in his work, thus ending the dualistic confrontation of the male and female and establishing a harmonious relationship.

The Psychical Distance in Angela Carter＇ s The Company of Wolves

Angela Carter is a famous female writer in the 20 th century who is known for her feminism, Gothic feature and magical realism. She is good at rewriting classical tales and adding new ideas and concepts to them. The Company of Wolves is one of her rewriting pieces. In this story, Carter takes The Little Red Riding Hood as her writing base. At the same time, she challenges the idea of the inferiority and natural dependence of female in the original fairy tale.Carter defamiliarizes her story from the traditional one as well as imitates it. In this way, she produces psychical distance and gives readers a sense of freshness. This paper tries to analyse Carter's work from Bullough's"Theory of Psychical Distance". By analyzing the exceptional characters and their abnormal desires, it aims to reveal Carter's special way to produce psychical distance.

Cristina Campo, the Aristocrat of Modern Literature: On Autobiographical Instance in Her Literary Work

In the present article,the attention is focused on autorepresentational image that can be derived from Cristina Campo’s literary language,while analyzing at the same time its genesis,given finalities and reception.It is what can be deduced in filigrain from essayistic-critical writings in The Unforgivable Ones(Gli imperdonabili)and Under a False Name(Sotto falso nome),as well as from collections of letters and illuminating lyrical motifs,based on which it will be demonstrated that analogous themes are associated to various literary genres on grounds of principle of inter-genre contamination.By illustrating the founding postulates of autopoetic reflections,the intention is to ulteriorly determine their collocation within the frame of cultural history.To veiled autobiographism contributes pseudonymical practice,as well as subsequent stylistic devices,through which modernistic aspects are highlighted.The autobiographical narration in The Golden Walnut(La noce d’oro),short story-fairy tale of aesthetic timbre frequently infused with figural tropism,comprises a literary mixture of rievocation and mythography,relying on anthropological premises that are speculatively articulated.

＂Historical Rewriting＂ and ＂Alternative Fairy Tales＂ in Contemporary Vietnamese Prose： Intertextuality or Incredulity Towards Grand Narratives

At the end of the 20th century and beginning of the 21st century, Vietnamese literature witnessed unprecedented innovations in the aesthetic thinking of writers and the narrative structure of their works. One of the most interesting manifestations of this new movement was not merely the introduction of new aesthetic materials and factors, but the adoption and positive ＂reprocessing＂ of traditional factors---especially historical factors and folk narrative factors. Based on intertextual theory, we would like to address the strong penetration, reproduction, and transformation of some folk storytelling models and historical materials in Vietnamese literature since 1986. Two corresponding phenomena we examine are ＂historical rewriting＂ and ＂alternative fairy tales＂--as part of the whole process of incredulity towards grand narratives and postmodernism in the contemporary Vietnamese prose.

A New World to Discover——Grimm's Fairy Tales

Nowadays, the fairy tales have been on hot discussion. Some say that the very original Grimm's fairy tales is capricious that we may be more cautious whether it's suitable for children. With the rethinking of fairy tales, many other scholars argue that the fairy tales can be valuable with its hidden German customs in the original version and the current versions are acceptable to children.The hot discussion raises our thinking. This new discussing wave may indicate something at a degree that the Grimm's Fairy Tales is worthy going deeper to study. We think that the Grimm's ferry tales is valuable for its pure essence and the German culture it hides that even adults should read it. Children can read the current version of Grimm's Fairy Tales with their innocence,getting the basic judging system of good and bad. The core question is that Adults also should pick it up. That's because usually people will find that all the experiences and reasons can be dated back to the simple truths in fairy tales. Meantime, the Grimm's Fairy Tales reflects lots of unthinkable customs and culture. The only thing we need to do is try to find new aspects and directions to explore the classic. With the spiritual and academic help, shouldn't the Grimm's fairy tales be necessary for both children and adults to read?

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs： The Adaptation

Adapting is to change a specific material from one genre into another. As one of the most well-known fairy tales, ＂Snow White story＂ has gone through many adaptation processes for a long time. Among those processes, Brother Grimms＇ Snow White and Disney＇s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs show some remarkable relationships between the source and target materials, because Disney adapted the Grimms＇ version of Snow White for their film version of Snow White. This paper will focus on the similarities between the Grimms＇ Snow White and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in adapting from one genre to another. The Grimms collected as many different oral tales of ＂Snow White＂ as they could and wrote them down into letters. While they recorded these tales, they chopped and combined them to fit in the category of pre-Christian Teutonic literature. Disney Production also selected one of various versions of ＂Snow White story＂ and realized to put it into the silver screen. Disney changed, added, omitted and modified some plots of the Grimms＇ Snow White again. This time, the changes were made to appeal this movie to the audiences of the 20th century.

The Irish-born British writer Clive Staples Lewis(1898-1963)is not only a literary critic with unique insights and a loy⁃al Christian missionary,but also a popular children’s writer.His The Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe is a world-famous chil⁃dren’s literature,which is deeply affected by the public.However,the academic researches and explorations on it are still in a state of youth.The dimensions of the domestic researches are single,and most scholars only pay attention to the religious connota⁃tion.Meanwhile,although the foreign studies have a wide range,there are few innovations in the studies.The thesis collates all kinds of literatures on Lewis and his The Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe to summarize the current research status and provide new dimensions for later studies.

童话和童话电影之中的黑色成分,一直是令人困扰的一个难题。童话所制造的,到底是一个光明而梦幻的乌托邦,还是一个黑暗又诡异的敌托邦,也向来是引发争议的焦点。要想真正回应这个问题,首先应该回到童话的定义和历史,由此揭示出大人与儿童之间的二元对立这个根深蒂固的迷执。德勒兹的生成儿童概念虽然对这个迷执进行了极为深刻的回应,但它仍然过于偏向肯定性的生成,而忽视了否定性的创伤体验,过于偏向抽象的思辨,而忽略了对儿童之生存境况的具体分析。经由卡瓦拉罗和肖特等人对童话电影的研究,尤其是他们所引入的过渡仪式和启悟这些关键概念,否定性的面向得以突显。
