The transmission and attenuation of the solar energy in the ocean are considered. A simple diagnostic equation for the cloud fractions k proposed on the basis of the humidities at the surface and the mid-troposphere. The parameterized formulae of both entrainment and Ekman pumping are improved.In the numerical integration, the treatment on damping the inertial oscillations is emphasized. The initialization and the objective analysis of the data which are necessary for the operational prediction will be presented in another paper.Results of SST prediction and some numerical experiments are given here. The model is computationally stable and successful in modelling the behaviors of the drift current and the mixed layer physics, and the AMD (absolute mean deviations) ≤1. 2℃ , RC (correlation coefficients ) ≥85% for 3-day forecasting. 展开更多

A metal-semiconductor composite with the interracial shells is investigated theoretically for the large linear mag- netoresistance effect of high doping Ag2+δ Se and Ag2+δ te materials. The magnetoresistance (MR) of composites is a function of the magnetic field, temperature, the conductivities of two phases without magnetic field, and the thickness and conductivity of the interracial shells. The MR increases with the increase of the magnetic field and with the decrease of temperature, and no saturation is found even under the high magnetic field. Moreover, it is interestingly found that the interracial shell is an important factor for the MR of the composites. The MR increases with the thickness and the conductivity of the interfacial shells. Lastly, the theoretical results on the MR are compared with the experimental data. It is found that the value of the MR of the composite with the interfacial shell is larger than that without the interfacial shell. 展开更多

In this paper, a finite difference scheme for the linear and nonlinear models of wheezes are given. The stability of the finite difference scheme for the linear model is obtained by using of von Neumann method. Moreover, the convergence and stability of the finite difference scheme for the nonlinear model are studied by the energy inequalities method. By some numerical computations, the relationships between angular frequency and wall position, fluid speed and amplitude are discussed. Finally, the author shows that the numerical results are coincided with Grotberg's theoretical results. 展开更多

When acquaintances of a model are little or the model is too complicate to build by using traditional time series methods, it is convenient for us to take advantage of genetic programming (GP) to build the model. Considering the complexity of nonlinear dynamic systems, this paper proposes modeling dynamic systems by using the nonlinear difference e-quation based on GP technique. First it gives the method, criteria and evaluation of modeling. Then it describes the modeling algorithm using GP. Finally two typical examples of time series are used to perform the numerical experiments. The result shows that this algorithm can successfully establish the difference equation model of dynamic systems and its predictive result is also satisfactory. 展开更多

目的 建立基于Ttc37(Tetratricopeptide Repeat Domain 37)基因缺失的Ⅰ型毛-肝-肠综合征(trichohepato-enteric syndrome,THES)的小鼠疾病模型。方法 利用CRISPR/CAS9技术在小鼠Ttc37基因中插入loxP序列构建Ttc37flox品系,通过与全身... 目的 建立基于Ttc37(Tetratricopeptide Repeat Domain 37)基因缺失的Ⅰ型毛-肝-肠综合征(trichohepato-enteric syndrome,THES)的小鼠疾病模型。方法 利用CRISPR/CAS9技术在小鼠Ttc37基因中插入loxP序列构建Ttc37flox品系,通过与全身表达的CAG-Cre品系交配产生全身敲除小鼠Ⅰ型THES动物模型(Ttc37flox/flox;CAG-Cre),利用荧光定量PCR和Western blot确认敲除效果。选取8周龄小鼠,对皮肤、脾脏、肝脏、膀胱和胃肠道等主要组织进行苏木精-依红染色和病理分析,对血清中的谷草转氨酶(aspartate aminotransferase,AST)和谷丙转氨酶(alanine aminotransferase,ALT)进行酶学检测,对血清中的血红蛋白进行检测,注射抗原后利用ELISA检测免疫球蛋白IgM和IgG水平。结果 Ttc37flox/flox;CAG-Cre表现出与Ⅰ型THES相似的毛发、皮肤、B细胞和眼睛发育异常表型;常规饲养条件下未表现出肝脏、胃肠道、膀胱和血红蛋白异常。结论 Ⅰ型THES的小鼠疾病模型构建成功,可用于病理机制研究。 展开更多

Analysis of SIRVI model with time dependent coefficients and the effect of vaccination on the transmission rate and COVID-19 epidemic waves

COVID-19 epidemic models with constant transmission rate cannot capture the patterns of the infection data in the presence of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interventions during a pandemic.Because of this,a new modification of SIR model that contain the vaccination compartment with time dependent coefficients and weak/lossimmunity is explored.Literature review confirms that the effect of vaccination on the time dependent transmission rate is still an open problem.This study answers this open problem.In this study,we first prove the well-posedness and investigate the model dynamics to show their continuous dependence on the model parameters.We then provide an algorithm to derive the time-dependent transmission function for the epidemiologic model and the data of the infected cases.The derived coupled nonlinear differential equations show the effect of vaccination on the transmission rate.Unlike previous studies,we first filter the published data and solve the nonlinear coupled differential equations using the finite difference technique,where the coefficient of the coupled nonlinear differential equations is a function of given data.We then show that time-dependent transmission function can be represented by linear combinations of Gaussian radial base function.We then validate the prediction of our models using numerical simulations,where we used the published data of COVID-19 confirmed cases by the Ministries of Health in Saudi Arabia and Poland.Finally,the numerical solutions of a SIRVI model with time dependent transmission rate show that the waves for currently active cases are in good agreement with the data of Saudi Arabia and Poland. 展开更多

A popular explicit analytic Borowy 2C PV module model is proposed for power generation prediction.The maximum power point and the open-circuit point which are calculated in this model cannot be equal to the data given by manufacturers under standard test condition(STC).The derivation of this model has never been mentioned in any literatures.The parameter forms of 2C model in this paper are more simplified,and the model is decomposed into a STC sub-model and an incremental sub-model.The STC model is derived successfully from an ideal single-diode circuit model.Relative error estimations are developed to do the conformity error measurements.The analysis results showed that though the biases at those critical points are very small,the conformity will depend on both of the two ratio values I_(m)/I_(sc) and V_(m)/V_(oc),which can be used to verify whether 2C model is applicable for the PV module produced by a particular manufacturer. 展开更多

The equilibrium and kinetic characteristics of the adsorption of erythromycin to Sepabeads SP825 were determined.The equilibrium data in a batch system was well described by a Langmuir isotherm.The separation performance was investigated in a fixed-bed system with respect to the adsorption superficial velocity,ionic strength and pH.A mathematical model was used to simulate the mass transfer mechanism,taking film mass transfer,pore diffusion and axial dispersion into account.The model predictions were consistent with the experi-mental data and were consequently used to determine the mass transfer coefficients. 展开更多
