To tackle these difficulties, an approach of data-driven model identification and control algorithm design based on the maximum stability degree criterion is proposed in this paper. The data-driven model identification procedure supposes the finding of the mathematical model of the system based on the undamped transient response of the closed-loop system. The system is approximated with the inertial model, where the coefficients are calculated based on the values of the critical transfer coefficient, oscillation amplitude and period of the underdamped response of the closed-loop system. The data driven control design supposes that the tuning parameters of the controller are calculated based on the parameters obtained from the previous step of system identification and there are presented the expressions for the calculation of the tuning parameters. The obtained results of data-driven model identification and algorithm for synthesis the controller were verified by computer simulation.展开更多

Based on the WRF model's three-dimensional variational assimilation system, this study compares the be- havior of two momentum control variable options-streamfunction velocity potential (ψ-χ) and horizontal wind components (U-V)-in radar wind data assimilation for a squall line case that occurred in Jiangsu Province on 24 August 2014. The wind increment from the single observation test shows that the ψ-χ control variable scheme produces negative increments in the neighborhood around the observation point because streamfunction and velocity potential preserve integrals of velocity. On the contrary, the U-V control variable scheme objectively reflects the information of the observation itself. Furthermore, radial velocity data from 17 Doppler radars in eastern China are assimilated. As compared to the impact of conventional observation, the assimilation of radar radial velocity based on the U-V control variable scheme significantly improves the mesoscale dynamic field in the initial condition. The enhanced low-level jet stream, water vapor convergence and low-level wind shear result in better squall line forecasting. However, the ψ-χ control variable scheme generates a discontinuous wind field and unrealistic convergence/divergence in the analyzed field, which lead to a degraded precipitation forecast.展开更多

After establishing the criterion for quality control, we did three numerical experiments to investigate the impact on the precipitation forecast with and without the quality-controlled GPS/PWV data before they are assimilated into the system. In the numerical experiments, two precipitation cases(on 6 to 7 May, 2010 and 27 to 28 April, 2012 respectively) that occurred in the annually first raining season of Guangdong were selected. Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) being one of the most efficient technologies possesses immense potential to serve major communication purposes including civil, defense and industrial purposes etc. The inclusion of sensor-mobility with WSN has broadened application horizon. The effectiveness of WSNs can be characterized by its ability to perform efficient data gathering and transmission to the base station for decision process. Clustering based routing scheme has been one of the dominating techniques for WSN systems;however key issues like, cluster formation, selection of the number of clusters and cluster heads, and data transmission decision from sensors to the mobile sink have always been an open research area. In this paper, a robust and energy efficient single mobile sink based WSN data gathering protocol is proposed. Unlike existing approaches, an enhanced centralized clustering model is developed on the basis of expectation-maximization (EEM) concept. Further, it is strengthened by using an optimal cluster count estimation technique that ensures that the number of clusters in the network region doesn’t introduce unwanted energy exhaustion. Meanwhile, the relative distance between sensor node and cluster head as well as mobile sink is used to make transmission (path) decision. Results exhibit that the proposed EEM based clustering with optimal cluster selection and optimal dynamic transmission decision enables higher throughput, fast data gathering, minima delay and energy consumption, and higher展开更多

The communication links between the plant and the controller are assumed to be imperfect (that is, data loss occurs intermittently, which appears typically in a network environment). The data loss is modelled as a random process which obeys a Bernoulli distribution. In the face of random data loss, a piecewise controller is designed to robustly stabilize the networked system in the sense of mean square and also achieve a prescribed H∞ disturbance attenuation performance based on a piecewise-quadratic Lyapunov function. The required H∞ controllers can be designed by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Chua's system is provided to illustrate the usefulness and applicability of the developed theoretical results.展开更多

Results exhibit that the proposed EEM based clustering with optimal cluster selection and optimal dynamic transmission decision enables higher throughput, fast data gathering, minima delay and energy consumption, and higher

文摘Simultaneous dimming controlling and data transmission are usually required in a white LED based indoor visible light communication system. However, the diming controlling of LED normally interferes the data transmission due to the modulation nonlinearity of LED.In order to solve this problem,a scheme by separating the LEDs for the functions of dimming control and data transmission respectively is proposed in this paper. In the scheme, the LEDs used for dimming control function are driven by a dc amplified circuit, and the LEDs for data transmission are driven by a digital modulation circuit respectively. In this way,the modulation distortion to the data signal caused by the modulation nonlinearity can be avoided even if the dimming is at high level dc driven current. The proof-of-concept experiment of a 2.5Mbit/s visible light communication system demonstrates that the dimming controlling and data transmission can be realized simultaneously in a simple way,and the data transmission is not affected by the dimming controlling function.Compared to previous methods, the scheme in this paper is simpler and cost effective, and makes sense when high rate data is transmitted in a visible light communication system.

文摘This paper discusses the model-based predictive controller design of networked nonlinear systems with communica- tion delay and data loss. Based on the analysis of the closed-loop networked predictive control systems, the model-based networked predictive control strategy can compensate for communication delay and data loss in an active way. The designed model-based predictive controller can also guarantee the stability of the closed-loop networked system. The simulation re- suits demonstrate the feasibility and efficacy of the proposed model-based predictive controller design scheme.

文摘This paper studies the problem of robust H∞ control of piecewise-linear chaotic systems with random data loss. Chua's system is provided to illustrate the usefulness and applicability of the developed theoretical results.
文摘The existing Big Data of transport flows and railway operations can be mined through advanced statistical analysis and machine learning methods in order to describe and predict well the train speed, punctuality, track capacity and energy consumption. The accurate modelling of the real spatial and temporal distribution of line and network transport, traffic and performance stimulates a faster construction and implementation of robust and resilient timetables, as well as the development of efficient decision support tools for real-time rescheduling of train schedules. In combination with advanced train control and safety systems even (semi-.) automatic piloting of trains on main and regional railway lines will become feasible in near future.
