Nowadays, the usage of socialmedia platforms is rapidly increasing, and rumours or false information are also rising, especially among Arab nations. This false information is harmful to society and individuals.Blocking and detecting the spread of fake news in Arabic becomes critical.Several artificial intelligence(AI)methods, including contemporary transformer techniques,BERT,were used to detect fake news. Thus, fake news in Arabic is identified by utilizing AI approaches. This article develops a new hunterprey optimization with hybrid deep learning-based fake news detection(HPOHDL-FND)model on the Arabic corpus. The HPOHDL-FND technique undergoes extensive data pre-processing steps to transform the input data into a useful format.Besides, the HPOHDL-FND technique utilizes long-term memory with a recurrent neural network(LSTM-RNN)model for fake news detection and classification. Finally, hunter prey optimization(HPO)algorithm is exploited for optimal modification of the hyperparameters related to the LSTM-RNN model. The performance validation of the HPOHDL-FND technique is tested using two Arabic datasets. The outcomes exemplified better performance over the other existing techniques with maximum accuracy of 96.57%and 93.53%on Covid19Fakes and satirical datasets, respectively. 展开更多

The current study investigates the predator-prey problem with assumptions that interaction of predation has a little or no effect on prey population growth and the prey’s grow rate is time dependent. The prey is assumed to follow the Gompertz growth model and the respective predator growth function is constructed by solving ordinary differential equations. The results show that the predator population model is found to be a function of the well known exponential integral function. The solution is also given in Taylor’s series. Simulation study shows that the predator population size eventually converges either to a finite positive limit or zero or diverges to positive infinity. Under certain conditions, the predator population converges to the asymptotic limit of the prey model. More results are included in the paper. 展开更多

This article studies a nonlinear fractional order Lotka-Volterra prey-predator type dynamical system. For the proposed study,we consider the model under the conformable fractional order derivative(CFOD).We investigate the mentioned dynamical system for the existence and uniqueness of at least one solution.Indeed,Schauder and Banach fixed point theorems are utilized to prove our claim.Further,an algorithm for the approximate analytical solution to the proposed problem has been established. In this regard, the conformable fractional differential transform(CFDT)technique is used to compute the required results in the form of a series.Using Matlab-16,we simulate the series solution to illustrate our results graphically. Finally,a comparison of our solution to that obtained for the Caputo fractional order derivative via the perturbation method is given. 展开更多

In an environment, the food chains are balanced by the prey-predator interactions. When a predator species is provided with more than one prey population,it avails the option of prey switching between prey species according to their availability. So,prey switching of predators mainly helps to increase the overall growth rate of a predator species. In this work,we have proposed a two prey-one predator system where the predator population adopts switching behavior between two prey species at the time of consumption. Both the prey population exhibit a strong Allee effect and the predator population is considered to be a generalist one.The proposed system is biologically well-defined as the system variables are positive and do not increase abruptly with time. The local stability analysis reveals that all the predator-free equilibria are saddle points whereas the prey-free equilibrium is always stable. The intrinsic growth rates of prey, the strong Allee parameters, and the prey refuge parameters are chosen to be the controlling parameters here. The numerical simulation reveals that in absence of one prey, the other prey refuge parameter can change the system dynamics by forming a stable or unstable limit cycle. Moreover,a situation of bi-stability,tri-stability,or even multi-stability of equilibrium points occurs in this system. As in presence of the switching effect, the predator chooses prey according to their abundance,so,increasing refuge in one prey population decreases the count of the second prey population. It is also observed that the count of predator population reaches a comparatively higher value even if they get one prey population at its fullest quantity and only a portion of other prey species. So,in the scarcity of one prey species, switching to the other prey is beneficial for the growth of the predator population. 展开更多

The pattern formation in reaction-diffusion system has long been the subject of interest to the researchers in the domain of mathematical ecology because of its universal exis- tence and importance. The present investigation deals with a spatial dynamics of the Beddington-DeAngelis predator-prey model in the presence of a constant proportion of prey refuge. The model system representing boundary value problem under study is subjected to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. The asymptotic stability including the local and the global stability and the bifurcation as well of the unique pos- itive homogeneous steady state of the corresponding temporal model has been analyzed. The Turing instability region in two-parameter space and the condition of diffusion- driven instability of the spatiotemporal model are investigated. Based on the appro- priate numerical simulations, the present model dynamics in Turing space appears to get influenced by prey refuge while it exhibits diffusion-controlled pattern formation growth to spots, stripe-spot mixtures, labyrinthine, stripe-hole mixtures and holes repli- cation. The results obtained appear to enrich the findings of the model system under consideration. 展开更多

In this paper, we discuss the behavior of a predator-prey model with disease in the prey with and without stochastic perturbation, respectively. First, we briefly give the dynamic of the deterministic system, by analyzing stabilities of its four equilibria. Then, we consider the asymptotic behavior of the stochastic system. By Lyapunov analysis methods, we show the stochastic stability and its long time behavior around the equi- librium of the deterministic system. We obtain there are similar properties between the stochastic system and its corresponding deterministic system, when white noise is small. But large white noise can make a unstable deterministic system to be stable. 展开更多

The purpose of this paper is to study the traveling wave solutions of a diffusive predator- prey model with predator saturation and competition functional response. The system admits three equilibria: a zero equilibrium E0, a boundary equilibrium E1 and a posi- tive equilibrium E. under some conditions. We establish the existence of two types of traveling wave solutions which connect E0 and E. and E1 and E., respectively. Our main arguments are based on a simplified shooting method, a sandwich method and constructions of appropriate Lyapunov functions. Our particular interest is to investi- gate the oscillation of both types of traveling wave solutions when they approach the positive equilibrium. 展开更多

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of a diffusive predator prey model with Holling-II functional response and the additive Allee effect in prey. We show the local and global asymptotical stability of the positive equilibrium, and give the conditions of the existence of the Hopf bifurcation. By carrying out global qualitative and bifurcation analysis, it is shown that the weak and strong Allee effects in prey can induce different dynamical behavior in the predator-prey model. Furthermore, we use some numerical simulations to illustrate the dynamics of the model. The results may be helpful for controlling and managing the predator-prey system. 展开更多

The existence conditions of Hopf bifurcation for a predator prey model based on nutri- tion kinetics are given. The two results may appear as follows: one is that the model has a stable periodic trajectory from Hopf bifurcation, which shows the system is in an eco- logical balance; the other is that periodic trajectory from Hopf bifurcation is unstable, which indicates the system is in a sharp or catastrophic loss of stability. For the latter, a bifurcation controller is designed to make the periodic trajectory stable. Finally, some simulations are carried out to prove the results. 展开更多

Cannibalism is an intriguing life history trait, that has been considered primarily in the predator, in predator-prey population models. Recent experimental evidence shows that prey cannibalism can have a significant impact on predator-prey population dyna- mics in natural communities. Motivated by these experimental results, we investigate a ratio-dependent Holling-Tanner model, where cannibalism occurs simultaneously in both the predator and prey species. We show that depending on parameters, whilst prey or predator cannibalism acting alone leads to instability, their joint effect can actually stabilize the unstable interior equilibrium. Furthermore, in the spatially explicit model, we find that depending on parameters, prey and predator cannibalism acting jointly can cause spatial patterns to form, while not so acting individually. We discuss ecologicalconsequences of these findings in light of food chain dynamics, invasive species control and climate change. 展开更多

The study of predator-prey interactions is commonly analyzed using functional responses to gain an understanding of predation patterns and the impact they have on prey populations.Despite this, little is known about predator-prey systems with multiple prey species in sites near the equator. Here we studied the functional response of cougars(Puma concolor)in relation to their main prey, armadillo(Dasypus novemcinctus),coati(Nasua narica)and white-tailed deer(Odocoileus virginianus).Between 2004 and 2010,cougar scats were collected along 5 transects to estimate the consumption of different prey species.A relative abundance index(RAI)was calculated for each prey species and cougar using 18 camera traps. We compared Holling type I,II and III functional response models to determine patterns in prey consumption based on the relative abundance and biomass of each prey species consumed. The 3 main prey species comprised 55%(armadillo),17%(coati)and 8%(white-tailed deer)of the diet.Type I and II functional responses described consumption of the 2 most common prey species armadillos and coati similarly well, while a type I response best characterized consumption of white-tailed deer.A negative correlation between the proportions of armadillo versus coati and white-tailed deer biomass in cougar scats suggests switching to consume alternative prey, confirming high foraging plasticity of this carnivore. This work represents one of the few studies to compare functional responses across multiple prey species, combined with evidence for prey-switching at low densities of preferred prey. 展开更多

Scorpion fauna of Mongolia, which are thus far poorly understood, were investigated country-wide during a China-Mongolia joint field survey from 2009 to 2012. Of the total 134 sites we surveyed, scorpions were found at 10 sites in the southern Gobi regions, Umnugovi and Dornogovi Aimags (Provinces) of Mongolia. All scorpions collected from Mongolia belong to a single species, Mesobuthus eupeus mongolicus. Combining with its occurrence records in China, we assembled 98 presence data for M. eupeus mongolicus and predicted its geographical distribution using ecological niche modeling approach. This species occurs exclusively in the arid deserts and steppes, ranging from the west extreme of Junggar Basin (Xinjiang) to the Gobi deserts in North China and South Mongolia, with its distributional margins set by the Altai Mountains in the north, the Tian-Shan Mountains and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the south, and the Loess Plateau in the east. We found that ecological niche models could accurately predict (AUC = 0.880 ± 0.016) geographic distribution of M. eupeus mongolicus. Our results show that climate is a reliable predictor for the geographic range of M. eupeus mongolicus, implying that climate might have exerted a dominant control over the natural occurrence of this species. A brief note on the ecology ofM. eupeus mongolicus was also provided, 展开更多

The main purpose of this paper is to explore the influence of predation on the spread of a disease developed in the prey population where we assume that the prey has a social behavior. The memory of the prey and the predator measured by the time fractional derivative plays a crucial role in modeling the dynamical response in a predator–prey interaction. This memory can be modeled to articulate the involvement of interacting species by the presence of the time fractional derivative in the considered models. For the purpose of studying the complex dynamics generated by the presence of infection and the time-fractional-derivative we split our study into two cases. The first one is devotedto study the effect of a non-selective hunting on the spread of the disease, where the localstability of the equilibria is investigated. Further the backward bifurcation is obtainedconcerning basic reproduction rate of the infection. The second case is for explaining theimpact of selecting the weakest infected prey on the edge of the herd by a predator onthe prevalence of the infection, where the local behavior is scrutinized. Moreover, for thegraphical representation part, a numerical simulation scheme has been achieved usingthe Caputo fractional derivative operator. 展开更多
