Real-time Three-dimensional Echocardiographic Assessment of Left Ventricular Remodeling Index in Patients with Hypertensive Heart Disease and Coronary Artery Disease 被引量:14

Left ventricular remodeling index (LVRI) was assessed in patients with hypertensive heart disease (HHD) and coronary artery disease (CAD) by real-time three-dimensional echocardiography (RT3DE). RT3DE data of 18 patients with HHD, 20 patients with CAD and 22 normal controis (NC) were acquired. Left ventricular end-diastolic volume (EDV) and left ventricular end-diastolic epicardial volume (EDVepi) were detected by RT3DE and two-dimensional echocardiography Simpson biplane method (2DE). LVRI (left ventricular mass/EDV) was calculated and compared. The results showed that LVRI measurements detected by RT3DE and 2DE showed significant differences inter-groups (P〈0.01). There was no significant difference in NC group (P〉0.05), but significant difference in HHD and CAD intra-group (P〈0.05). There was good positive correlations between LVRI detected by RT3DE and 2DE in NC and HHD groups (t=0.69, P〈0.01; r=0.68, P〈0.01), but no significant correlation in CAD group (r=0.30, P〉0.05). It was concluded that LVRI derived from RT3DE as a new index for evaluating left ventricular remodeling can provide more superiority to LVRI derived from 2DE. 展开更多

It is provided with multiple functions, such as laser scanning information management for goaf, cloud data de-noising optimization, construction, display and operation of three-dimensional model, model editing, profile generation, calculation of goaf volume and roof area, Boolean calculation among models and interaction with the third party soft ware. Concerning this system with a concise interface, plentiful data input/output interfaces, it is featured with high integration, simple and convenient operations of applications. Effective implementation of goaf detection and accurate acquisition of its spatial characteristics including the three-dimensional morphology the spatial position as well as the actual boundary and volume are important basis to analyze predict and control disasters caused by goaf. In recent years three-dimensional laser scanning technology has been effectively applied in goaf detection [3 4]. In order to study the behavior and interconnection of network devices,graphs structures are used to formulate the properties in terms of mathematical models.Mesh network(meshnet)is a LAN topology in which devices are connected either directly or through some intermediate devices.These terminating and intermediate devices are considered as vertices of graph whereas wired or wireless connections among these devices are shown as edges of graph.Topological indices are used to reflect structural property of graphs in form of one real number.This structural invariant has revolutionized the field of chemistry to identify molecular descriptors of chemical compounds.These indices are extensively used for establishing relationships between the structure of nanotubes and their physico-chemical properties.In this paper a representation of sodium chloride(NaCl)is studied,because structure of NaCl is same as the Cartesian product of three paths of length exactly like a mesh network.In this way the general formula obtained in this paper can be used in chemistry as well as for any degree-based topological polynomials of three-dimensional mesh networks. 展开更多

Three-dimensional(3D)refractive index(RI)distribution is important to reveal the object’s inner structure.We implemented terahertz(THz)diffraction tomography with a continuous-wave single-frequency THz source for measuring 3D RI maps.The off-axis holographic interference configuration was employed to obtain the quantitative scattered field of the object under each rotation angle.The 3D reconstruction algorithm adopted the filtered backpropagation method,which can theoretically calculate the exact scattering potential from the measured scattered field.Based on the Rytov approximation,the 3D RI distribution of polystyrene foam spheres was achieved with high fidelity,which verified the feasibility of the proposed method. 展开更多

Purpose:Identification of sex of unknown people becomes important in situations of mass disaster.Previous studies have shown that morphological characteristic of frontal sinus is distinctive to particular individual and hence,literature suggests that it can be used in establishing identification of a person.However,few researches have concluded that,its use in detennining sexual dimorphism is limited.Aim:This study aimed to evaluate frontal sinus index using cone beam computed tomography(CBCT)and differentiate sex dimorphism based on the index obtained.Materials and Methods:A retrospective cross-sectional study was undertaken using three-dimensional-CBCT scans.By simple random sampling method,150 scans were selected,out of which 74 were of male and 76 were of female within the age group of20-64 years.The frontal sinus width and the height were measured,and the ratio was taken as frontal sinus index.This index was correlated to the differentiation of sex.Data were analyzed using SPSS,and sex dimorphism was assessed using discriminant function analysis.Results:The mean height of the frontal sinus in both males and females was 30.12±7.6 mm and 30.14±7.8 mm,respectively.The mean width of frontal sinus in males(13.39±3.6 mm)was slightly more than that of females(12.06±3 mm).Conclusion:The parameter frontal sinus index measured using CBCT was found to be a contributing factor in sex determination in forensic identification within the sample population. 展开更多

The Effect of Absorbed Dose to Organs at Risk Following Craniospinal Irradiation Using Different Radiotherapy Techniques

Introduction: In medulloblastoma patients craniospinal irradiation is an important element the treatment. Our study aimed to evaluate the effect of absorbed dose to organs at risk using the hybrid intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) versus three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) for craniospinal irradiation (CSI) in average risk medulloblastoma patients. Materials and Methods: In this study, thirteen medulloblastoma patients were included. The prescribed total dose to the planning target volume (PTV) was 23, 40 Gy in 13 fractions. Two radiotherapy techniques, three dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT) and hybrid intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) were used to treat these patients. The coverage of the Target was evaluated using the D mean, D95%, D2%, D98% and V95%. Other parameters were also compared such as Integral dose (ID), Homogeneity index (HI) and doses to the organs at risk (OARs). Results: There was no significant difference in the mean dose received by the PTV-Brain or the dose received by 95% and 98% of PTV volume using the two techniques. For PTV-Spine, the percentage volume receiving 95% of the total dose increased significantly in the hybrid IMRT technique compared to the conformal technique. So, hybrid IMRT plan achieved the best coverage for PTV spine. Lower dose for OAR was delivered by 3DCRT, except the heart and thyroid, hybrid IMRT achieved better sparing. All plans resulted in the same dose homogeneity index (DHI) for PTV-Brain. For PTV-Spine, hybrid IMRT technique achieved better dose homogeneity compared to 3DCRT technique (1.09 vs. 1.12;p > 0.05). Conclusions: hybrid IMRT technique can be realized on conformal technique because it achieved better dose coverage for the (PTV) and organ at risk (OAR). 3DCRT reduced mean dose to most OARS, except the heart and thyroid. Therefore, the hybrid IMRT technique may be a CSI treatment alternative to 3DCRT. 展开更多

Purpose:Different arch structures may cause different foot function injuries.In the past,the arch structure and flexibility of the foot were often defined by the height of the arch,and there was no three-dimensional(3D)structure classification method.In order to form a more complete 3D description,we propose a new classification system of arch volume flexibility(AVF),and then use this new classification system to investigate the relationship between the AVF and arch index(AI),and the arch height flexibility(AHF)and AI,respectively.Methods:It is proposed to recruit 180 young male adults for the test.We obtained arch volume and AI through 3D scanning and obtained the navicular height through manual measurement.Based on these data,we calculated the AHF and the AVF.Using the quintile method,these arches are divided into very stiff,stiff,neutral,flexible,and very flexible.According to AI value,all arches were divided into cavus,rectus,and planus.The distribution of AVF was compared usingχ^(2)goodness of fit test.The spearman correlation test was used to compare the AHF and AVF.A p<0.05 indicates that the difference is statistically significant.Results:All participants'plantar data was obtained through 3D scanning,but only 159 of them were complete,so only 318 feet had valid data.The left AHF is(21.23±12.91)mm/kN,and the right AHF is(21.71±12.69)mm/kN.The AVF of the left foot arch is(207.35±118.28)mm^(3)/kg,while the right one is(203.00±117.92)mm^(3)/kg,and the total AVF of the arch was(205.17±117.94)mm^(3)/kg.There was no statistical difference in the AVF between the left and right feet for the same participant(n=159,p=0.654).In cavus,the percentage of arch with AVF is 21.4%(very stiff),21.4%(stiff),14.3%(neutral),7.1%(flexible),and 35.7%(very flexible).In rectus,the percentage of arch with AVF is 23.9%(very stiff),19.6%(stiff),14.7%(neutral),24.5%(flexible),and 17.2%(very flexible).In planus,the percentage of arch with AVF is 14.9%(very stiff),20.6%(stiff),27.0%(neutral),16.3%(flexible),and 21.3%(very flexible).Moreover,the correlation between AHF and AVF is not significant(p=0.060).Conclusion:In cavus,rectus,and planus,different AVF accounts different percentage,but the difference is not statistically significant.AVF is evenly distributed in the arches of the feet at different heights.We further found the relationship between AHF and AVF is not significant.As a 3D index,AVF may be able to describe the flexibility of the arch more comprehensively than AHF. 展开更多
