Methods: A total of 10 SSc patients and 10 healthy cont...Objective: This study was to investigate the role of hsa-miR-155-3p and hsa-miR-155-5p as biomarkers and regulators of biological behavior in Systemic Sclerosis. Methods: A total of 10 SSc patients and 10 healthy controls were selected for the study. The expression levels of hsa-miR-155-3p and hsa-miR-155-5p in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of SSc patients and healthy controls were measured using RT-qPCR. The diagnostic value of these miRNAs was explored using Receiver Operating Characteristic curve analysis. Pearson or Spearman correlation analysis was performed to assess the correlation between miRNAs and clinical indicators in SSc patients. Potential target genes of hsa-miR-155-3p and hsa-miR-155-5p were predicted using miRDB, Targetscan, and miRDIP databases. GO functional annotation, KEGG pathway enrichment analysis, protein-protein interaction network construction, and selection of central genes were conducted. Results: The expression levels of hsa-miR-155-3p and hsa- miR-155-5p were significantly higher in PBMCs of SSc patients compared to healthy controls (P<0.001). The ROC curve analysis showed that hsa-miR-155-3p and hsa-miR-155-5p had a high diagnostic value for SSc (AUC=1, P<0.001). Correlation analysis revealed that hsa- miR-155-3p, hsa-miR-155-5p, and clinical indicators such as high-resolution CT, neutrophil percentage, lymphocyte percentage, and albumin to globulin ratio were correlated (P<0.05). The signaling pathways enriched with target genes of hsa-miR-155-3p and hsa-miR-155- 5p were closely associated with the occurrence and development of SSc fibrosis, immunity, and inflammation. Conclusions: hsa-miR-155-3p and hsa-miR-155-5p may be involved in regulating the occurrence and development of SSc fibrosis, immunity, and inflammation. They have the potential to serve as biomarkers for clinical diagnosis and treatment of SSc.展开更多

The introduction of herbicide resistant crops resulted in a major shift in the way that herbicides are used in many crop...Herbicide resistance in crops has extended the scope of herbicide applications to control weeds. The introduction of herbicide resistant crops resulted in a major shift in the way that herbicides are used in many crops, but not necessarily increased the prevalence of herbicide use, especially in wheat. Wheat is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and currently only two major herbicide-resistant wheat groups have been commercialized to manage weeds in a cost-effective manner. However, sustainable wheat production is threatened by the expanding occurrence of herbicide-resistant weed populations with limited efforts to discover new herbicide molecules. Selective control of certain problematic weeds in wheat was impossible until development and introduction of the technologies, Clearfield and Co AXium Production Systems. However, the current limitations of reliance on specific herbicides and evolution of resistant weeds mandate precautions and considerations when using these systems to prevent the loss of existing herbicide resources and continue sustainable wheat production. The focus of this review is to provide an overview of natural pre-existing herbicide resistance and development of herbicide-resistant technologies in wheat. The mechanisms of resistance to herbicides in wheat as well as the weed populations in wheat cropping systems, and implications for weed management are discussed.展开更多

In this paper, the S p q current systems are analyzed in the corrected geomagnetic coordinates (CGM) instead of the conventional geomagnetic coordinates (GM), and the symmetries of the S p q current in different systems are compared. Then the causes of S p q asymmetry in the GM coordinates are discussed; the effects of each component in S p q are determined.展开更多
IIn order to improve the performance of wireless distributed peer-to-peer(P2P)files sharing systems,a general system architecture and a novel peer selecting model based on fuzzy cognitive maps(FCM)are proposed in this...IIn order to improve the performance of wireless distributed peer-to-peer(P2P)files sharing systems,a general system architecture and a novel peer selecting model based on fuzzy cognitive maps(FCM)are proposed in this paper.The new model provides an effective approach on choosing an optimal peer from several resource discovering results for the best file transfer.Compared with the traditional min-hops scheme that uses hops as the only selecting criterion,the proposed model uses FCM to investigate the complex relationships among various relative factors in wireless environments and gives an overall evaluation score on the candidate.It also has strong scalability for being independent of specified P2P resource discovering protocols.Furthermore,a complete implementation is explained in concrete modules.The simulation results show that the proposed model is effective and feasible compared with min-hops scheme,with the success transfer rate increased by at least 20% and transfer time improved as high as 34%.展开更多

The efficiency, and hence the reliability, of a facility system is to a large degree adversely affected by the edge failures in the network. In this paper, we consider facility systems' reliability analysis based on the classical p-median problem when subject to edge failures. We formulate two models based on deterministic case and stochastic case to measure the loss in efficiency due to edge failures and give computational results and reliability envelopes for a specific example.展开更多

If the annihilating rule is used in a neuron, the annihilation wil consume one time unit. Fuzzy Reasoning Spiking neural P systems (FRSN P systems) as a membrane computing with distributed parallel computing model is powerful and suitable graphical approach model in fuzzy diagnosis knowledge. In a sense this feature is required for establishing the power transformers faults identifications and capturing knowledge implicitly during the learning stage, using linguistic variables, membership functions with “low”, “medium”, and “high” descriptions for each gas signature, and inference rule base. Membership functions are used to translate judgments into numerical expression by fuzzy numbers. The performance method is analyzed in terms for four gas ratio (IEC 60599) signature as input data of FRSN P systems. Test case results evaluate that the proposals method for power transformer fault diagnosis can significantly improve the diagnosis accuracy power transformer.展开更多
