For thousands years, TCM has made indelible contribution to the reproduction and prosperity of the Chinese nation, and under the countless attacks of pestilence has never made its people’s death in millions, not such as once occurred in Europe. TCM is also characterized by its “simple, convenient, cheap and effective”method of treatment” and is especially good at preventing and treating chronic diseases, complicate multi-system diseases and new-type virus diseases. Therefore, only when the sanitation and healthcare system is established can the health of 13 billion people in China and the problem of shortage of doctor and medicine for 900 million rural population and large number of poverty-stricken urban population be solved. It is strongly suggested that five promotion projects, namely: TCM policy and statute guarantee, TCM qualified personnel cultivation, TCM scientific research, development of TCM in rural areas and TCM administrative system reform should be carried out in real earnest to make TCM develop in a sustainable way.展开更多

文摘Oral mucositis is a common adverse reaction of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in cancer patients, which reduces the quality of life of patients and affects the progress of cancer treatment. Most of the patients with malignant tumor belong to the syndrome of deficiency in root case and excess in manifestation. When undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy, the patients’ministerial fire becomes hyperactive, which may cause oral mucositis. With the method of“conducting fire back to its origin”,ministerial fire can be led to vital gate,as well as recovering its physiological functions. In the treatment of oral mucositis, instead of attacking ministerial fire with too much heat-clearing herbs,we should, under the guidance of the theory of“conducting fire back to its origin”,differentiate the syndrome, and then we can use the methods of treatment of clearing and lowering heart fire, warmly invigorating spleen and stomach, nourishing liver and kidney,or warmly invigorating vital gate,to conduct ministerial fire back to vital gate. This article aims to provide theoretical reference for Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of radiotherapy or chemotherapy induced oral mucositis.

文摘Objective:To explore the recent 20 years' herbal administration rules in TCM treatments of ovarian cysts (OCs) based on data mining. Methods:A prescription database for ovarian cysts was established by ACCESS 2007.Importing the database into SPSS17.0 and SPSS Modeler14.1.SPSS17.0 was used for descriptive and cluster analyses, while SPSS Modeler14.1 was used for association rules analysis. Results:After screening,363 prescriptions were obtained. The 10 most frequently-used Chinese herbal medicines are Zedoaria (Rhizoma Curcumae),Poria cocos (Poria),Common buried rubber (Rhizoma Sparganii),Red peony root (Radix Paeoniae Rubra),Peach seed (Semen Persicae),Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis),Chinese angelica (Ramulus Cinnamomi),Liquorice root (Radix Glycyrrhizae),Pangolin scales (Squama Manis) and Moutan cortex (Cortex Moutan Radicis);the 5 most common syndromes of OCs are qi stagnation and blood stasis, phlegm and blood stasis, uterine blood stasis, stagnation of liver qi and retention of phlegm and dampness, nearly to 54.26%;In association rules analysis,5 sets of two-herbs association rules were obtained,17 sets of three-herbs association rules were obtained,22 sets of four-herbs association rules were obtained and 4 sets of five-herbs association rules were obtained;By clustering,13 sets of core couplet medicinals were obtained. Conclusion:Medicinal herbs for promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, resolve hard lumps, for strengthening the spleen, eliminating phlegm, and relieving liver qi stagnation were highly used in the treatment of OCs;Herbs attributed to the Liver Meridian, the Spleen Meridian and the Heart Meridian were highly used in OCs;The compatibility of herbs for promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis and resolve hard lumps were highly used;Guizhi Fuling Wan (GFW) was often used and combined with other herbs in the treatment of OCs.
