The study highlights the transition from traditional practices to modern innovations and examines the impact of globalization and technological advancements on the industry. Key innovations are discussed, demonstrating their role in enhancing textile production while preserving cultural heritage. Major challenges, such as competition from industrial textiles and the need for sustainable practices, are identified. Opportunities for growth are explored, including leveraging tourism and international markets to promote Saudi handicrafts. The social and cultural impacts of the sector are underscored, particularly in sustaining community traditions and providing economic opportunities for artisans. Strategic recommendations for supporting and advancing the industry are offered, ensuring its continued relevance and sustainability in a rapidly changing global market. However, the conservation of Japanese traditions relies not on...At present, the planning for the conservation or development of Japanese traditional crafts is based on administrative districts or water catchment areas. However, the conservation of Japanese traditions relies not only on the access to relevant natural resources but also on artisans＇ ability to manufacture crafts in specific environments. The perspectives of artisans on their work environments have a significant influence on traditional crafts. In this study, we aimed to investigate the changes in natural resource use in a vilage recognized for Koishiwara-yaki-style pottery. We employed a questionnaire and conducted interview surveys to collect data on the perceptions of the artisans working in the said viliage. The findings were as follows. 1 ） The area commonly resarded by the artisans as their place for pottery was identified. The identification of areas that are significant to local tradition can serve as a vital contribution to spatial planning. 2） The birth place of the local ceramics tradition in a local water catchment area was regarded as critically important in the preservation of the traditions of the viilage. 3） Several potters emphasized the value of their work environment to ver administrative support because of the histoHcal connection between the place and their traditions. Highlighting this connection can attract historical and cultural tourism to this area.展开更多

Compared with the function, the brand image and style of products have become much more important in purchasing; ＂moreover, technology is no longer the sole driving force in the development of products. As the spread of marketing appealing to consumers＇ emotion, many methods treating human＇s feeling have been developed and applied in many fields. Since human＇s emotion has both linear and non-linear characteristics, and it is changing by every moment, a method which fits better is essential. This paper develops a new evaluation model by comparing statistical, fuzzy and pseudo-fuzzy approaches based-on an emotional evaluation database to find a better approach for recommendation of products.展开更多
