The rapid developments in these fields have created demands for development of better performance and higher surface accuracy. However, low accuracy and low effi- ciency are the common disadvantages for traditional panel alignment and adjustment. In order to improve the surface accuracy of large reflector antenna, a new method is pre- sented to determinate panel adjustment values from far field pattern. Based on the method of Physical Optics (PO), the effect of panel facet displacement on radiation field value is derived. Then the linear system is constructed between panel adjustment vector and far field pattern. Using the method of Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), the adjustment value for all panel adjustors are obtained by solving the linear equations. An experiment is conducted on a 3.7 m reflector antenna with 12 segmented panels. The results of simulation and test are similar, which shows that the presented method is feasible. Moreover, thediscussion about validation shows that the method can be used for many cases of reflector shape. The proposed research provides the instruction to adjust surface panels efficiently and accurately.展开更多

The stars of the cluster have been observed using the Newtonian focus (f/4.84) of the 74-inch telescope at Kottamia Astronomical Observatory in Egypt. Also, the 2MASS - JHK system is used to confirm the results we obtained. The main photometric parameters have been estimated for the present object; the diameter is found to be 6 arcmin, the distance is 15304-60pc from the Sun and the age is 900+50Myr. The optical reddening E(B - V) = 0.65 mag, while the infrared reddening is E(J - H) = 0.20 mag. The slope of the mass function distribution and the relaxation time estimations indicate that cluster NGC 6724 is dynamically relaxed.展开更多

METHODS: A retrospective analysis of the medical records of 113 patients who underwent surgery for pancreas head cancer from January 2008 to December 2012 was performed. We developed preoperative defining system of pancreatic head cancer by describing "resectability- tumor location- vascular relationship- adjacent organ involvement- preoperative CA19-9(initial bilirubin level)- vascular anomaly". The oncologic correlations with this reporting system were evaluated.RESULTS: Among 113 patients, there were 75 patients(66.4%) with resectable, 34 patients(30.1%) with borderline resectable, and 4 patients(3.5%) with locally advanced pancreatic cancer. Mean disease-free survival was 24.8 mo(95%CI: 19.6-30.1) with a 5-year diseasefree survival rate of 13.5%. Pretreatment tumor size ≥ 2.4 cm [Exp(B) = 3.608, 95%CI: 1.512-8.609, P = 0.044] and radiologic vascular invasion [Exp(B) = 5.553, 95%CI: 2.269-14.589, P = 0.002] were independent predictive factors for neoadjuvant treatment. Borderline resectability [Exp(B) = 0.222, P = 0.008], pancreatichead cancer involving the pancreatic neck [Exp(B) = 9.461, P = 0.001] and arterial invasion [Exp(B) = 6.208, P = 0.010], and adjusted CA19-9 ≥ 50 [Exp(B) = 1.972 P = 0.019] were identified as prognostic clinical factors to predict tumor recurrence. CONCLUSION: The suggested preoperative defining system can help with designing treatment plans and also predict oncologic outcomes.展开更多

Toward this purpose, we propose an objective optimization model of routes choosing, which is based on the improved Ant Colony Algorithm. Furthermore, we make some adjustment in parameters in order to improve the precision of this algorithm. For example, the inspired factor has been changed to get better results. Also, the ways of searching have been adjusted so that the traveling routes will be well designed to achieve optimal effects. At last, we select a series of attractions in Beijing as data to do an experimental analysis, which comes out with an optimum route arrangement for the travelers;that is to say, the models we propose and the algorithm we improved are reasonable and effective.展开更多

We use the PPMXL astrometric catalog, which provides positions, proper motions, B/R/I magnitudes (mostly) from USNO-B and d/H/Ks from the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) as well. We chose eight plates along the Galactic plane, in the region 0° 〈 α° 〈 67° and 42° 〈 δ 〈 59°, which cover 22 known open clusters with a range of ages. Adjacent plates may have some small overlapping area. Each plate covers an area of 2.5° in radius, with its cen- tral star (for the Shack-Hartmann guider) brighter than 8th magnitude. For each plate, we create an input catalog in the magnitude range 11.3 〈 Imag 〈 16.3 and Bmag available from PPMXL. The stars are selected to satisfy the requirements of the fiber positioning system and have a uniform distribution in the I vs. B - I color-magnitude diagram. Our final input catalog consists of 12 000 objects on each of eight plates that are observable during the winter observing season from the Xinglong Station of the National Astronomical Observatory of China.展开更多

The levels, variations, compositions and size distributions were investigated. The sources were quantified by two-way and three-way receptor models (PMF2, ME2-2way and ME2-3way), Consistent results were found: the primary source categories contributed 63.4% (PMF2), 64.8% (ME2-2way) and 66.8% (ME2-Bway) to PMIo, and contributed 60.9% (PMF2), 65.5% (ME2-2way) and 61.0% (ME2-3way) to PM2.s. Secondary sources contributed 31.8% (PMF2), 32.9% (ME2-2way) and 31.7% (ME2-3way) to PMIo, and 35.0% (PMF2), 33.8% (ME2-2way) and 36.0% (ME2-3way) to PM2.s. The size distribution of source categories was estimated better by the ME2-3way method. The three-way model can simultaneously consider chemical species, temporal variability and PM sizes, while a two-way model independently computes datasets of different sizes. A method called source directional apportionment (SDA) was employed to quantify the contributions from various directions for each source category. Crustal dust from east-north-east (ENE) contributed the highest to both PM^o (12.7%) and PMzs (9.7%) in Chengdu, followed by the crustal dust from south-east (SE) for PMao (9.8%) and secondary nitrate & secondary organic carbon from ENE for PMzs (9.6%). Source contributions from different directions are associated with meteorological conditions, source locations and emission patterns during the sampling period. These findings and methods provide useful tools to better understand PM pollution status and tn dovolon offoctive nolhltion control gtrateMeg.展开更多

This paper presents an adaptive pass planning approach for robotic welding of such complex joints. The welding groove is first segmented considering both the variation in groove dimension and the reachability of the robot welding torch. For each welding segment, the welding passes are planned to be in accordance with welding practices, viz., keeping the same number of welding passes in each layer while maintaining consistent welding parameters. An adaptive pass adjustment scheme is developed to address the discrepancies between the simulated results and the actual welding deposition after finishing a few layers of welding. Corresponding robot paths are generated and optimized to ensure minimum joint movement subject to three constraints, viz., reachability, collision-free and singularity avoidance. The proposed approach has been sim- ulated with the arc welding of a Y-type joint found typically in offshore structures.展开更多
