Taking into consideration the process variations and emerging effects in nano-scaled technology, the presented models are capable of accurately estimating the subthreshold leakage current and junction tunneling leakage current in 65 nm technology. Based on the physical models, new table look-up models are developed and first applied to leakage current analysis in pursuit of higher simulation speed. Simulation results show that the novel physical models are in excellent agreement with the data measured from the foundry in the 65 nm process, and the proposed table look-up models can provide great computational efficiency by using suitable interpolation techniques. Compared with the traditional physical-based models, the table look-up models can achieve 2.5X speedup on average on a variety of industry circuits.展开更多

By analysing the irrationality of the calculating models used by some research organizations at home and abroad in structural analyses for truss jack-up rig legs, this paper introduces a new calculation model which is more reasonable. This model can simulate better the load situation of a rig reflecting more precisely the effects of the leg loads caused by the spring support of gearboxes of the jacking system and the secondary bending moment raised by hull displacement under extreme conditions. The rig conversion was completed in 1989. In July 1991 the rig safely stood the frontal hitting of Typhoon with the wind speed of 52 m / s, which shows that the checking on the structure is correct.展开更多

Spin-up forcing, which is the ...A dynamic global vegetation model (DGVM) coupled with a land surface model (LSM) is generally initialized using a spin-up process to derive a physically-consistent initial condition. Spin-up forcing, which is the atmospheric forcing used to drive the coupled model to equilibrium solutions in the spin-up process, varies across earlier studies. In the present study, the impact of the spin-up forcing in the initialization stage on the fractional coverages (FCs) of plant functional type (PFT) in the subsequent simulation stage are assessed in seven classic climate regions by a modified Community Land Model’s Dynamic Global Vegetation Model (CLM-DGVM). Results show that the impact of spin-up forcing is considerable in all regions except the tropical rainforest climate region (TR) and the wet temperate climate region (WM). In the tropical monsoon climate region (TM), the TR and TM transition region (TR-TM), the dry temperate climate region (DM), the highland climate region (H), and the boreal forest climate region (BF), where FCs are affected by climate non-negligibly, the discrepancies in initial FCs, which represent long-term cumulative response of vegetation to different climate anomalies, are large. Moreover, the large discrepancies in initial FCs usually decay slowly because there are trees or shrubs in the five regions. The intrinsic growth timescales of FCs for tree PFTs and shrub PFTs are long, and the variation of FCs of tree PFTs or shrub PFTs can affect that of grass PFTs.展开更多

A numerical study of the test is...The China-mock-up test is to evaluate the performance of the compacted Gaomiaozi (GMZ) bentonite under coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical (THM) conditions in deep geological disposal. A numerical study of the test is conducted in this paper. The principal THM characteristics of the bentonite are presented at first. A THM model is then presented to tackle the complex coupling behavior of the bentonite. The model of Alonso-Gens is incorporated to reproduce the mechanical behavior of the bentonite under unsaturated conditions. With the proposed model, numerical simulations of the China-mock-up test are carried out by using the code of LAGAMINE. The time variations associated with the temperature, degree of saturation, suction and swelling pressure of the compacted bentonite are studied. The results suggest that the proposed model is able to reproduce the mechanical behavior of the bentonite, and to predict moisture motion under coupled THM conditions.展开更多

It is proved that the model has a unique equilibrium which is a sink and the solution of the equation is globally asymptotically stable.
