Preparation and Microwave Absorbing Properties of Double-layer Fine Iron Tailings Cementitious Materials

To develop the microwave absorbing(MA)properties of cementitious material mixed with mine solid waste,the iron tailings cementitious microwave absorbing materials were prepared.The iron tailings was treated into different particle sizes by planetary ball mill,and the physicochemical properties of iron tailings were tested by laser particle size analyzer and scanning electron microscope(SEM).The electromagnetic parameters of iron tailings cementitious materials were characterized by a vector network analyzer and simulated MA properties,and the MA properties of iron tailings-cement composite system with steel fiber as absorber was studied.Based on the design of the single-layer structure,optimum mix ratio and thickness configuration method of double-layer structure were further studied,meanwhile,the mechanical properties and engineering application were analyzed and discussed.The results show that the particle size of iron tailings can afiect its electromagnetic behavior in cementitious materials,and the smaller particles lead the increase of demagnetisation efiect induced by domain wall motion and achieve better microwave absorbing properties in cementitious materials.When the thickness of matching layer and absorbing layer is 5 mm,the optimized microwave absorbing properties of C1/C3 double-layer cementitious material can obtain optimal RL value of-27.61 dB and efiective absorbing bandwidth of 0.97 GHz,which attributes to the synergistic efiect of impedance matching and attenuation characteristics.The double-layer microwave absorbing materials obtain excellent absorbing properties and show great design flexibility and diversity,which can be used as a suitable candidate for the preparation of favorable microwave absorbing cementitious materials. 展开更多

The results showed that the introduction of electron-drawing group -CF3 and -C3F7 on β-diketonate made the strongest absorption peak red-shift and the lowest energy absorption blue-shied. Introduction of -OC2H5 on the benzene or pyridine ring made the lowest energy absorption blue-shift. When the -C2H3 was introduced on the benzene or pyridine ring, the lowest energy absorption was red-shifted. Introduction of electron-donating group on β-diketonate can enlarge their nonlinear optical properties. On the contrary, the introduction of electron-drawing group dropped it down. 展开更多

UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy are used to test the quality and changes in the composition of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and canola oil (CO) with temperature. The increase of temperature caused a change in the molecular structures of both types of oils seen as a gradual decrease of intensity amplitudes of absorption and fluorescence signals. A significant alteration occurred at ≈200&#176C where almost the main spectra of pheophytin-a, b, carotenoids, lutein and vitamin E in EVOO and linoleic acid and oleic acid in CO disappeared. An independent experiment showed the output of laser changes linearly with the input in oil at constant temperature (i.e., room temperature) where the transmission values of ≈33% and ≈75% are determined for EVOO and CO respectively. However, the transmission through a heated oil exhibited a non-linear behaviour which indicates the molecular optical response to thermal changes. The effect of storage time and adulteration of oils were also evaluated. 展开更多

The electromagnetic and microwave absorbing properties of FeCoB powder composites prepared by sin- gle-roller melt-spinning and mechanical milling processes were investigated in this paper. The result indicates that the flake-like powders are obtained. As milling time increases, the flake-like powder particles tend to agglomerate, causing the flake-like powders decrease gradually. The milling time plays an important role in the electromagnetic parameters which relates to the shape and size of the powder particles. The calculation shows that the sample milled for 6 h could achieve an optimal reflection loss of -11.5 dB at 5.8 GHz, with mass fraction of 83 % and a matching thickness of 1.8 mm. The result also indicates that the microwave absorbing properties of the FeCoB powder composites are adjustable by changing their thickness, and can be applied as a thinner microwave absorbing material in the range of 2-8 GHz. 展开更多

The effects of types and amounts of silane coupling agent on mechanical properties of vuleanized rubber microwave absorbing patch (VRMAP) were studied. The mechanisms of silane coupling agent's effects on mechanical properties of rubber microwave absorbing patch ( RMAP ) and microvave absorbing patch's (MAP's) mierostrueture were also discussed by using SEM and FT-IR. The experimental results show that the tensile strength of RMAP could be increased through adding the filler of carbonyl iron powder (CIP) modified by silane coupling agent. RMAP fiUed with CIP, which was treated by silane coupling agent KH550, possessed a high tensile strength of 11.5 MPa, which was 448% more than that of MAP whose filler wus not modified by any coupling agent. It was found that the optimal amount of KH550 was 1.0 phr to 100.0 phr carbonyl iron powder. The effects of different modifying techniques on RMAP's mechanical properties were also inrestigated. It is indieated that MAP whose filler is modified by the wet process has the highest tensile strength, but it is not the optimal modiifying technique due to complieated wet process. On the contrary, the dry process was very simple, and VRMAP possessed fairly high mechanical properties, therefore, it was the perfect modifying process. 展开更多

Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9 (or FeCuNbSiB) powder/ S-glass fiber-reinforced epoxy composite panels were pre- pared by mold pressing method. Metallographic analysis shows that the amorphous powders are evenly distributed between the layers of S-glass fibers. The effects of the Fe- CuNbSiB powder mass fraction on the complex permittivity, complex permeability, and microwave absorption of the composite panels have been studied in the frequency range of 2.6-18.0 GHz. The complex permittivity of the composite panels with different mass fractions of the FeCuNbSiB powders shows several peaks in the 2.6-18.0 GHz fre- quency range. The complex permeability of the composites decreases with the increasing frequency in the frequency range of 8-18 GHz. The composite with FeCuNbSiB/epoxy mass ratio of 2.5:1.0 has excellent microwave absorption properties of a minimum reflection loss value -30.5 dB at 10.93 GHz for a thickness of 2 mm. A reflection loss exceeding -10 dB can be obtained in a broad frequency range of 3.2-18.0 GHz with a thickness of 1.15-5.00 mm. For the FeCuNbSiB composites, the magnetic loss is the dominant term for microwave absorption. The FeCuNbSiB powders are a possible candidate for high-performance microwave absorption filler. 展开更多

Influences of ferrite content and iron ore powder content on electromagnetic wave absorbing property of porous concrete are studied.The radar cross section(RSC)of samples was tested in a microwave anechoic chamber.Results show that the optimum content of ferrite is 15%,and the minimum,maximum and average reflectivity of the sample is-46.60 dB,-10.84 dB and-23.75 dB,respectively.And the sample's improved bandwidth is 8.2 GHz.The optimum content of iron ore powder is 20%,and the minimum,maximum and average reflectivity of the sample is-34.69 dB,-9.25 dB and-20.69 dB,respectively.And the sample's improved bandwidth is 6 GHz.In conclusion,appropriate ferrite and iron ore powder can improve wave absorbing property and widen wave absorption bandwidth of porous concrete. 展开更多

TiAIN solar selective absorbing coatings which were deposited on 304L stainless steel using cathodic arc evaporation method were annealed under non-vacuum at different temperatures with different times. The optical properties (absorptance and emittance) of the coatings were measured by a spectrophotometer. It was found that, after being annealed for 2 hours at different temperatures, the absorptance of the coatings reached the highest value of 0.92 at 700 ℃ while the emittance got the lowest value of 0.38 at 800 ℃. When the coatings were annealed at 600 ℃ for 24 hours, the optical properties changed to 0.92/0.44 (absorptance/ emittance). By measuring the structure, morphology, elements and surface roughness of the coatings, it was found that both the elemental composition and the surface roughness of the coatings changed as a result of annealing, and these changes caused the change of the optical properties of the coatings. 展开更多

Porous carbon(PC)is a promising electromagnetic(EM)wave absorbing material thanks to its light weight,large specific surface area as well as good dissipating capacity.To further improve its microwave absorbing performance,silver coated porous carbon(Ag@PC)is synthesized by one-step hydro-thermal synthesis process making use of fir as a biomass formwork.Phase compositions,morphological structure,and microwave absorption capability of the Ag@PC has been explored.Research results show that the metallic Ag was successfully reduced and the particles are evenly distributed inward the pores of the carbon formwork,which accelerates graphitization process of the amorphous carbon.The Ag@PC composite without adding polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP)exhibits higher dielectric constant and better EM wave dissipating capability.This is because the larger particles of Ag give rise to higher electric conductivity.After combing with frequency selective surface(FSS),the EM wave absorbing performance is further improved and the frequency region below-10 d B is located in8.20-11.75 GHz,and the minimal reflection loss value is-22.5 dB.This work indicates that incorporating metallic Ag particles and FSS provides a valid way to strengthen EM wave absorbing capacity of PC material. 展开更多

A method of electroless plating was utilized to deposit Cu, Ni, Co, Ag on the surface of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) respectively, in order to prepare millimeter-wave absorbing materials. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) were used to observe morphologies and chemical compositions of the samples respectively. Millime- ter-wave radiometer imaging detection was employed to measure the absorbing properties of the sam- ples. FE-SEM and EDS results demonstrate the effectiveness of successful metal deposition. The re- suits of millimeter-wave radiometer imaging detection reveal that the millimeter-wave absorbing properties of electroless-silver plating are better than other kinds of samples. 展开更多

MnO_2/activated carbon composite(Mn-ACC) wave absorber was prepared by the reaction between Mn(CH_3COO)_2 and KMnO_4 on activated carbon. Then, a novel cement based composite absorbing coating(CB-CAC) was prepared by adding the Mn-ACC, manganese zinc ferrite and rubber particles into cement. XRD method was used to analyze the reaction products of the Mn-ACC. The tensile bond strength and the wave absorbing properties of the CB-CACs were also tested. The results showed that the crystallinity of MnO_2 formed in the Mn-ACC was poor. Adding Mn-ACC into the CB-CAC led to first increase and then decrease of the tensile bond strength. The tensile bond strength reached 1.89 MPa with 8.51% of the Mn-ACC. The CB-CACs obtained the optimal absorbing properties with the cement, manganese zinc ferrite, Mn-ACC, rubber particles and H_2O mass ratio of 7.5?7.5?1?1?5.5, respectively. The band width of the reflection below-10 dB was up to 8.8 GHz, which accounted for 57.14% of the test band. 展开更多

吸波材料具有良好的微波传热能力,可用于沥青路面微裂缝自修复。本研究选取了炭黑粉、羰基铁粉和镍锌铁氧体粉3种吸波材料替换部分矿粉制备了SMA-13吸波沥青混合料。通过车辙试验、低温弯曲破坏试验和冻融劈裂试验对比分析了不同吸波沥... 吸波材料具有良好的微波传热能力,可用于沥青路面微裂缝自修复。本研究选取了炭黑粉、羰基铁粉和镍锌铁氧体粉3种吸波材料替换部分矿粉制备了SMA-13吸波沥青混合料。通过车辙试验、低温弯曲破坏试验和冻融劈裂试验对比分析了不同吸波沥青混合料的路用性能,并采用半圆弯曲(SCB)试验研究了吸波材料类型、掺量、微波加热时间等因素对吸波沥青混合料表面温度分布和自愈合性能的影响。利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和X射线衍射(XRD)分析吸波材料的微观特性。结果表明,随吸波材料掺量从10%增至30%,炭黑粉沥青混合料的动稳定度和冻融劈裂强度比都呈现出逐渐上升趋势,而低温弯曲应变则表现出先增加后减小的特征;羰基铁粉沥青混合料动稳定度和低温弯曲应变均呈现先增加后减小的趋势,而冻融劈裂强度比表现出逐渐减小的特征;镍锌铁氧体粉沥青混合料动稳定度和低温弯曲应变均呈现逐渐减小趋势,而冻融劈裂强度比则与之相反。吸波沥青混合料的表面温度随着吸波材料掺量和微波加热时间的增加而逐渐上升,能够快速达到沥青混合料裂缝面的愈合温度,从而增强沥青混合料的微波自愈合性能。 展开更多

为分析轻骨料种类及粒径对吸波材料性能的影响,采用五种从微米级至毫米级粒径的轻骨料制备了轻质水泥基吸波材料,测试其电磁参数和反射损耗(RL),采用有限元分析方法构建了二维截面模型,模拟吸波材料内部电磁场分布情况,并测试了吸波材... 为分析轻骨料种类及粒径对吸波材料性能的影响,采用五种从微米级至毫米级粒径的轻骨料制备了轻质水泥基吸波材料,测试其电磁参数和反射损耗(RL),采用有限元分析方法构建了二维截面模型,模拟吸波材料内部电磁场分布情况,并测试了吸波材料的力学性能和导热系数。结果表明,增加轻骨料掺量和增大粒径可改善水泥基材料的阻抗匹配性能,提升平均RL,拓宽有效吸波频宽,吸收峰向高频移动。20 mm厚度时,吸波材料在低频1.2 GHz处最优RL为-29.1 dB,在较高频5.9 GHz处最优RL为-20.9 dB,有效吸波频宽最宽可达14.49 GHz。有限元模拟结果表明,轻骨料可改变电磁波传输方向,增加电磁波损耗途径,相邻骨料之间可产生较强损耗,其次是在骨料内部产生损耗,这为骨料种类、粒径选择与轻质吸波材料设计提供理论基础。增大轻骨料粒径会降低吸波材料的密度、力学强度与导热系数,使其吸波效能更好,保温效果更优。 展开更多

Fe-Si-B非晶合金粉末的制备及吸波性能

采用正交试验法,利用硼氢化钠水溶液还原氯化亚铁和氟硅酸钠水溶液中的Fe和Si,制备出一种粒径为200~500 nm的球形粉末,采用X射线衍射仪、同步热分析仪、透射电子显微镜及选区电子衍射、X射线光电子能谱仪以及电感耦合等离子体光谱分析... 采用正交试验法,利用硼氢化钠水溶液还原氯化亚铁和氟硅酸钠水溶液中的Fe和Si,制备出一种粒径为200~500 nm的球形粉末,采用X射线衍射仪、同步热分析仪、透射电子显微镜及选区电子衍射、X射线光电子能谱仪以及电感耦合等离子体光谱分析表明该粉末是成分为Fe87.6Si1.08B11.31的非晶态合金。利用矢量网络分析仪研究了该粉末的吸波性能,结果表明:该粉末在14.56 GHz处最小反射损耗为-44.8 dB,对应的匹配厚度为1.5 mm,有效带宽为6.16 GHz且为最大吸收带宽。对电磁波的损耗以磁损耗为主,介电损耗为辅,其中介电损耗以偶极极化为主,磁损耗以涡流损耗和自然共振为主。 展开更多

周期结构电磁超材料吸波体的设计及最新进展

电磁吸波性能始终是军事活动重点关注的研究方向。传统吸波材料不能满足日益增长的综合需求,因此,以人工制备、由亚波长结构单元组合且具有超常物理性质的超材料为基础,经导电单元图案及整体结构设计构成的超材料吸波体,在近些年得到广... 电磁吸波性能始终是军事活动重点关注的研究方向。传统吸波材料不能满足日益增长的综合需求,因此,以人工制备、由亚波长结构单元组合且具有超常物理性质的超材料为基础,经导电单元图案及整体结构设计构成的超材料吸波体,在近些年得到广泛研究和发展。本文综述了周期结构电磁超材料吸波体的发展趋势,凝练其吸波机制,并总结出超材料吸波体的基本结构,包括导电单元层、介质层和反射层。同时参考近年来超材料吸波体的研究成果,以单层结构、多层结构和柔性结构超材料吸波体为对象,详细分析影响超材料吸波体吸波性能的关键因素,归纳总结各类型超材料吸波体的结构设计、材料组分、吸波性能等。此外,针对现有研究成果,探讨周期结构电磁超材料吸波体目前存在的不足之处,指出还需重点关注和研究的问题,以期为后续研究提供方向和思路。 展开更多
