The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various industries.The conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient protection.In the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy composite coating on Mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembly technique.The outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)film.The FG sheets can be homogeneously dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fill the intrinsic defects and improve the barrier capability.The Ce film connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition effect.The corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of bare Mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the obstruction of galvanic coupling behavior.The synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the improvement of multi-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the development of novel composite protection coatings of Mg alloys. 展开更多

Tribological behavior and wear mechanisms of mechanically milled Al5083 alloy and Al5083−5wt.%B4C composite at room temperature and 200°C were discussed.Results revealed that due to the oxidative wear at room temperature,a mechanically mixed layer(MML)was formed to protect the surface of the samples.Under 80 N of load at room temperature,the milled Al5083 and the Al5083−5wt.%B4C samples showed evidence of abrasion with limited volume loss.In this case,the wear rates were 5.8×10−7 and 4.4×10−7 mm3/(m·N),respectively.At 200°C and under 80 N of applied load,severe wear occurred in the milled Al5083 sample,and wear rate reached 10.8×10−7 mm3/(m·N)while the Al5083−5wt.%B4C sample showed mild wear with local 3-body abrasion and the wear rate reached 5.3×10−7 mm3/(m·N).Strengthening mechanisms such as dislocation pinning and the Hall−Petch theory,high hardness and the load transfer effect were crucial in determining the wear behavior of the Al5083−5wt.%B4C composite.On the other hand,the milled Al5083 sample represented a relatively high wear rate at 200°C,which seemed to be related to the local grain growth and a drop in its hardness. 展开更多

The microstructure of this cladding layer and its abrasion wear behavior at high temperature by changing compositions and temperatures were investigated by means of optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. Among the three compositions of cladding layer, i.e. Ni21+20%WC+0.5%CeO2, Ni25+20%WC+0.5%CeO2 and Ni60+20%WC+0.5%CeO2, the experimental results show that Ni21+20%WC+ 0.5%CeO2 cladding layer is made up of finer grains, and presents the best abrasion wear behavior at high temperature. The wear pattern of laser cladding layer is mainly grain abrasion at lower temperature, and it would be changed to adhesive abrasion and oxide abrasion at higher temperature. 展开更多

The Ni/ZrO2 was used as raw materials to fabricate the surface infiltrated composite layer with 1-4 mm thickness on cast steel substrate through vacuum infiltrated casting technology. The microstructure indicated that the infiltrated composite layer included surface composite layer and transition layer. Wear property was investigated under room temperature and 450 ~C. The results indicated that the abrasion volume of substrate was 8 times that of the infiltrated composite layer at room temperature. The friction coefficient of infiltrated composite layer decreased with the increasing load. The wear resistance of infiltrated composite layer with different ZrO2 contents had been improved obviously under high temperature. The friction coefficient of infiltrated composite layer was decreased comparing with that at room temperature. The oxidation, abrasive and fatigue abrasion was the main wear mechanism at room temperature. Oxidation abrasion, fatigue wear and adhesive wear dominated the wearin~ process under elevated temperature. 展开更多

Therefore, attention should be paid to reducing the brittleness of boronized layer without decreasing its high hardness. In the present paper, a study on the effect of micro-addition rare earth and chrome on friction and wear behavior of boronized layer was carried out using an MM-200 wear test machine. Compared with that of pure single Fe2B phase, the brittleness of the boronized layer containing minim rare earth and chrome elements, obtained by powder RE-chrome-boronizing, is reduced, which results in increasing the bearing capacity and wear resistance of the boronized layer. A chemical composite plating of Ni-B_(4)C was used to prepare the surface-modified zirconia toughened alumina(ZTA)ceramic particles.The ceramic preforms were prepared by the plated ZTA and sodium silicate solution binder,followed by casting infiltration to prepare the ZTA particles reinforced high chromium cast iron(HCCI)composites.The result reveals that a distinct interface layer forms at the ZTA/HCCI interface,which consists of phases of ZrB_(2),FeB,Fe_(2)B,and NaSiO_(4).The interfacial wettability between ZTA and HCCI is improved by the diffusion and reaction of Ni and B_(4)C.The wear test reveals that the Ni-B_(4)C plated ZTA particles can effectively improve the wear resistance of the ZTA/HCCI composite,and the wear rate of the composite is decreased to 11.6%of HCCI. 展开更多

This study is designed to determine whether the outermost layer of articular cartilage is deficient in Osteoarthritis (OA). Phospholipids present in healthy and osteoarthritis (OA) synovial fluid show significant differences in their concentration. While examining the surface properties of OA joints, we found that OA PLs molecules cannot support lubrication, and increased friction was observed. Our lubrication mechanism was based on a surface active phospholipids (SAPL) multibilayer which in OA condition was deactivated and removed from the cartilage surface under OA conditions. Cartilage wettability study clearly demonstrated a significant decrease in hydrophobicity, the contact angle, θ (theta), dropping from 103° from bovine healthy cartilage to 65° in surface partially depleted and 35.1° for completely depleted surface. These results are discussed in the context that surface active phospholipid (SAPL) and lubricin, each has specific roles in a lamellar-repulsive lubrication system. However, deactivated phospholipid molecules are major indicator of cartilage wear (model) introduced in this study. 展开更多

The wear behavior was investigated by test of ball on disc sliding. The composition and microstructure of the coating were also analyzed by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and glow discharge spectrum (GDS), and the morphology of TiN-CrN film was surveyed through scanning electronic microscopy (SEM) and atom force microscopy (AFM).The adhesion strength between film and matrix was evaluated by ways of stick-peeling test. The surface micro-hardness of the coating is above HK0.011 433, and the specific wear ratio of specimens coated with TiN-CrN films tested decreases greatly compared to that of the bare metal. 展开更多

目的 提高Stellite 12熔覆层的耐磨耐蚀性能。方法将Stellite 12合金粉末与碳化物(Cr_(3)C_(2)、WC)混合,采用激光熔覆技术在H13钢板上制备复合熔覆层。通过超景深显微镜和XRD分析其显微组织和物相,通过显微硬度测试、摩擦磨损试验和电... 目的 提高Stellite 12熔覆层的耐磨耐蚀性能。方法将Stellite 12合金粉末与碳化物(Cr_(3)C_(2)、WC)混合,采用激光熔覆技术在H13钢板上制备复合熔覆层。通过超景深显微镜和XRD分析其显微组织和物相,通过显微硬度测试、摩擦磨损试验和电化学腐蚀试验,分别评价熔覆层的硬度、耐磨性和耐蚀性,并通过超景深显微镜对磨痕形貌进行分析。结果添加碳化物后,熔覆层的微观组织以柱状晶和树枝晶为主,物相主要由γ-Co固溶体和碳化物(M23C6、M7C3)组成;Cr_(3)C_(2)的添加使得熔覆层的硬度降低,由610HV0.2降至530HV0.2,但耐磨性得到提高,磨损量由0.45 mm^(3)降至0.33 mm^(3),下降了28%,耐蚀性得到提高,腐蚀电位由-0.385 V增加到-0.264 V,腐蚀电流密度由9.269×10^(-10)A/cm^(2)降至1.496×10^(-10)A/cm^(2),极化电阻由3.982×10^(7)Ω·cm^(2)提升至2.424×10^(8)Ω·cm^(2),提高了1个数量级;WC的添加使其硬度由610HV0.2提高至750HV0.2,磨损深度变浅,磨损量由0.45 mm3降至0.19 mm^(3),下降了43%,但耐腐蚀性有所降低。3种熔覆层的磨损机制主要为磨粒磨损和黏着磨损。结论WC的添加可以有效提高熔覆层的硬度和耐磨性,但耐腐蚀性有所降低;添加Cr_(3)C_(2)后,耐蚀性得到显著提高,耐磨性略微提升,但硬度降低。 展开更多

微波加热技术在沥青路面除冰中的应用得到了广泛的关注,然而目前多对沥青路面整体进行微波加热增强,从而导致路表加热效率提升缓慢。为了进一步提高沥青路面路表的微波加热性能,采用碳化硅(SiC)微波增强集料制备了一种超薄吸波磨耗层,... 微波加热技术在沥青路面除冰中的应用得到了广泛的关注,然而目前多对沥青路面整体进行微波加热增强,从而导致路表加热效率提升缓慢。为了进一步提高沥青路面路表的微波加热性能,采用碳化硅(SiC)微波增强集料制备了一种超薄吸波磨耗层,通过微波加热以及除冰试验分析了超薄吸波磨耗层的微波加热性能以及加热耐久性,确定了超薄吸波磨耗层的最佳厚度。并采用COMSOL Multiphysics有限元软件建立了多物理场沥青混凝土微波加热模型,分析了超薄吸波磨耗层的设置对微波加热过程中电磁场的强度与分布以及温度场的影响。研究结果表明:在2.45 GHz频率的微波加热下,超薄吸波磨耗层具有良好的微波加热性能,10 mm厚的超薄吸波磨耗层的微波加热效率相比于普通沥青混合料以及整体微波增强的沥青混合料提高了4.47倍和1.40倍。SiC稳定的微波吸收性能保证了超薄吸波磨耗层具有良好的微波除冰耐久性,在经过反复的微波加热除冰后超薄吸波磨耗层的除冰时间仍然可以保持在45 s左右。数值仿真模拟结果表明超薄吸波磨耗层较强的微波吸收能力可以局部增强试件表层的电磁场强度,从而使更高的温度分布在试件表层。超薄吸波磨耗层内部的电场强度和磁场强度分别比普通沥青混合料试件提高了50.9%和15.7%。综上可知,超薄吸波磨耗层的设置可以提高沥青路面表面的微波加热性能。 展开更多

激光熔凝处理对P20钢组织及性能的影响

目的提高P20模具钢的表面硬度和耐磨性能。方法采用激光熔凝技术对P20模具钢表面进行强化处理。通过硬度梯度检测和摩擦磨损测试,分别评价熔凝层的硬度分布特征和耐磨性能,并通过光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜对熔凝层及磨痕形貌进行分析... 目的提高P20模具钢的表面硬度和耐磨性能。方法采用激光熔凝技术对P20模具钢表面进行强化处理。通过硬度梯度检测和摩擦磨损测试,分别评价熔凝层的硬度分布特征和耐磨性能,并通过光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜对熔凝层及磨痕形貌进行分析。结果使用激光输出功率为500W、光斑直径为2.5mm、聚焦透镜距离为40 mm、扫描速度为6 mm/s、搭接率为45%、氮气保护的激光熔凝工艺所得熔凝层的组织细小,无脱碳、畸变、裂纹等缺陷,熔凝处理质量高。熔凝过程中单道激光熔凝层呈半椭圆形分布,最大深度为610~620μm。熔凝处理后表面硬度提升显著,熔凝层的硬度分布与熔凝层的区域位置有关,具有较高硬度且硬度保持基本稳定的熔凝层深度约为400μm;单道激光熔凝层最高硬度可达460~480HV,重叠影响区即双熔凝区的最高硬度在540~560HV之间,即熔凝层硬度普遍较基体硬度提高了60%以上。此外,P20模具钢经过激光熔凝处理后耐磨性能提升明显,其平均摩擦因数约为0.85,熔凝处理的磨损失重较未处理的试样减少了约61%,其磨损机制主要表现为磨粒磨损和少量的黏着磨损或剥落脱离。结论激光熔凝处理能够显著提高P20模具钢的表面硬度和耐磨性能,试验采用的激光熔凝工艺可在P20钢表面获得硬度较高且稳定可靠的熔凝层深度在400μm左右,能将P20模具钢的表面硬度及耐磨性提高60%以上。 展开更多

超薄磨耗层抗滑性能的衰变规律及其影响因素

为了精确评价沥青超薄磨耗层开放交通后抗滑性能衰变过程、机理及影响因素,首先利用弧形模具及其配套的轮碾机来制备弧形超薄磨耗层试件;然后通过驱动轮式加速加载系统对4种级配类型和3个沥青胶结料等级的沥青超薄磨耗层试件进行加速加... 为了精确评价沥青超薄磨耗层开放交通后抗滑性能衰变过程、机理及影响因素,首先利用弧形模具及其配套的轮碾机来制备弧形超薄磨耗层试件;然后通过驱动轮式加速加载系统对4种级配类型和3个沥青胶结料等级的沥青超薄磨耗层试件进行加速加载试验;最后借助激光纹理扫描仪对一定轮载次数作用后的试件分别进行扫描。结合试验数据分别建立了基于S型函数的沥青超薄磨耗层宏观和微观构造深度衰变模型,以及基于灰色关联分析方法来分析各空隙率和沥青胶结料对抗滑性能的独立和耦合作用。试验研究结果显示:采用驱动轮式加速加载系统结合S型函数模型可以定量地评价和预测沥青超薄磨耗层性能的演变过程;空隙率影响超薄磨耗层宏观和微观构造深度的前期衰减速率,空隙率越大,则超薄磨耗层的宏观和微观构造深度的前期衰减速率越大;宏观构造深度的中后期衰减速率受沥青胶结料等级影响更大,沥青胶结料性能等级越高,则宏观构造深度的中后期衰减速率越慢;空隙率和沥青胶结料等级对超薄磨耗层微观构造深度中后期衰减速率的影响相当。因此,在进行超薄磨耗层抗滑性能设计时,选择大空隙率的开级配超薄磨耗层混合料级配对路面抗滑耐久性是有益的,而沥青胶结料的性能等级则可以根据交通量的大小合理选择。 展开更多

目的增强42CrMo钢的耐磨性,改善其严重的磨损失效情况。方法采用激光熔覆技术同步送粉的方式在42CrMo钢表面制备金刚石/WC颗粒增强钴基复合熔覆层,借助SEM、EDS、XRD、显微硬度仪和多功能综合性能测试仪,研究了熔覆层宏观形貌与微观组... 目的增强42CrMo钢的耐磨性,改善其严重的磨损失效情况。方法采用激光熔覆技术同步送粉的方式在42CrMo钢表面制备金刚石/WC颗粒增强钴基复合熔覆层,借助SEM、EDS、XRD、显微硬度仪和多功能综合性能测试仪,研究了熔覆层宏观形貌与微观组织、物相组成、显微硬度与耐磨性。结果使用Ti/TiC粉末对金刚石进行预处理可以改善其烧蚀和石墨化;适量ZrH2提升了熔覆层宽厚比,促进了熔池对流传质作用,同时,活性元素Zr改善了金刚石颗粒的润湿性能,提高了黏结相对金刚石的把持力。熔覆层多道搭接过渡均匀,其显微组织主要由细小枝晶及致密网状碳化物共晶组成,熔覆层与基体结合区域反应生成了平面晶组织,进而提高了熔覆层结合强度。激光熔覆热特性使W2C、ZrC、γ-(Co,Fe)、M6W6C、CoZr_(2)、(Ti,Zr)O_(2)、TiCx、Co_(3)Ti等物相存在于熔覆层内,细晶强化及弥散强化作用使得熔覆层的平均显微硬度(1002HV0.2)是基体的3倍。熔覆层平均磨损量是基体平均磨损量的1/2,熔覆层平均摩擦因数也明显低于基体,表明熔覆层的耐磨性能得到提升,其磨损机制主要为磨粒磨损,熔覆层内金刚石因承担摩擦载荷而钝化,但磨痕中的金刚石完整且未发生脱落。结论金刚石/WC颗粒增强钴基复合熔覆层的耐磨性显著提高,可用于42CrMo钢表面强化。 展开更多

载荷对D2车轮钢滑动磨损表层微观组织和性能影响

目的研究滑动磨损条件下,载荷变化对D2车轮钢表层微观组织和磨损性能的影响。方法利用MRH-30(环块)滑动摩擦磨损试验机进行滑动磨损试验。使用金相显微镜(OM)、场发射扫描电镜(SEM)、X射线衍射仪(XRD)和场发射透射电镜(TEM)等设备,分析... 目的研究滑动磨损条件下,载荷变化对D2车轮钢表层微观组织和磨损性能的影响。方法利用MRH-30(环块)滑动摩擦磨损试验机进行滑动磨损试验。使用金相显微镜(OM)、场发射扫描电镜(SEM)、X射线衍射仪(XRD)和场发射透射电镜(TEM)等设备,分析滑动磨损后表层微观组织、表面磨损形貌和硬度变化。结果不同载荷条件下,随着磨损时间的增加,轮轨试样磨损量逐渐增加。200 N载荷条件下,(环状)车轮试样的磨损量大于100 N车轮试样磨损量,但200 N钢轨(块状)试样的磨损量却低于100 N钢轨试样。滑动磨损后,在不同载荷条件下,车轮试样表面主要形成长条状白层和不连续的月牙状白层。在200 N载荷条件下,由于车轮试样的磨损量较高,其白层厚度和表面白层硬度都小于100 N载荷条件下的车轮试样。在200 N载荷条件下,车轮试样表面更易形成不连续的月牙状白层。由于轮轨试样表面存在微凸体,高载荷会加速车轮试样表面局部微凸体发生严重塑性变形,导致月牙状白层的形成。在白层内片状渗碳体发生明显溶解和铁素体晶粒显著细化。结论车轮表面白层对磨损性能有明显影响。滑动磨损过程中,高载荷条件下,月牙状白层和周边微观组织界面易形成裂纹,裂纹会逐渐沿着界面向内部扩展,导致不连续月牙状白层发生剥落,降低车轮试样表面的硬度,加速车轮试样磨损。另一方面,高载荷会加速无白层区域塑性变形,导致其形成棘轮失效,从而加速磨损。 展开更多
