Objective: To analyze the effect of combined extracorporeal shock wave and rehabilitation training treatment in patients with muscle articulation chronic pain (MACP). Methods: Ninety-seven MACP patients admitted to our hospital from September 2021 to September 2023 were randomly selected and were divided into Group A (control group, 46 cases, rehabilitation training treatment) and Group B (observation group, 51 cases, extracorporeal shock wave with rehabilitation training treatment), and outcomes of the two groups were compared. Results: The treatment efficiency, post-treatment clinical indexes (upper and lower limb function scores, activities of daily living (ADL) scores, visual analog scale (VAS) scores), and short-form 36 (SF-36) scores of Group B were better than those of Group A (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Combined extracorporeal shock wave and rehabilitation training treatment for MACP patients improved their limb function, daily activities, quality of life, and reduced pain. 展开更多

With the development of an IT (Information Technology) society, the opportunity to use electronic devices, such as cell phones and personal computers, has increased. These electronic devices pro-vide many benefits to society. However, there have been a number of reports of electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) related to the use of electronic devices. The symptoms of EHS may include headaches, fatigue, tinnitus, dizziness, memory loss, irregular heartbeat, and skin trouble. Since the pathogenic mechanism of such conditions is not yet clear, further research is required. This report shows how a subject’s dizziness and joint mobility disorder, caused by electromagnetic waves emitted by electronic devices, were cured by removing an onlay from the patient’s mouth and replacing it with a gold alloy onlay. The result indicates that the subject’s symptoms were caused by EHS. Although the symptoms were improved after the dental treatment, the underlying mechanism of the symptoms and the reason why this treatment is successful remain unclear. Shock wave lithotripsy(SWL) was introduced in 1980, modernizing the treatment of upper urinary tract stones, and quickly became the most commonly utilized technique to treat kidney stones. Over the past 5-10 years, however, use of SWL has been declining because it is not as reliably effective as more modern technology. SWL success rates vary considerably and there is abundant literature predicting outcome based on patient- and stone-specific parameters. Herein we discuss the ways to optimize SWL outcomes by reviewing proper patient selection utilizing stone characteristics and patient features. Stone size, number, location, density, composition, and patient body habitus and renal anatomy are all discussed. We also review the technical parameters during SWL that can be controlled to improve results further, including type of anesthesia, coupling, shock wave rate, focal zones, pressures, and active monitoring. Following these basic principles and selection criteria will help maximize success rate. 展开更多

Facial Tightening Following a Single Acoustic Wave Treatment Using Focused and Radial Acoustic Waves

Background: Acoustic wave has been used for many medical purposes, and although it is widely applied in cosmetic procedures, it has not been conducted for facial rejuvenation and tightening. Acoustic wave has been proven to penetrate deeper than subcutaneous tissue, independent of skin color, and to be beneficial for skin tightening and body contouring. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a single acoustic wave treatment session using unique focused and radial acoustic waves for facial tightening. Participants: Sixty Asian patients were treated between the years 2016 and 2018. The single acoustic wave treatment session consists of focused long planar acoustic pulses thought to have an effect on cells and their metabolism resulting in an increased release of fat, and radial short acoustic pulses thought to have an effect on tissues activating blood and lymphatic flow. Patients did not undergo any form of medical aesthetic treatment during the study. Measurements: Digital photographs and three-dimensional imaging were used to evaluate the results. Results: Objective assessments with digital photographs and superimposed three-dimensional color images showed preferable facial tightening effects and marked volumetric reduction on the lower one-third of the face. These results were obtained without the edematous reactions observed in laser and radiofrequency therapies, and were sustained up to 12 months. All of the patients reported satisfaction with the results and convenience of the procedure. Complications were minor and transitory, consisting of a slight tingly sensation to the teeth during the treatment, and mild erythema resolving within 5 hours. Side effects were not observed. Conclusions: The advantages of the single acoustic wave treatment are the high potency of facial tightening effects, reduction of discomfort and side effects. Taken together, these characteristics facilitate the ability to give repeated treatments and provide an alternative or adjunct treatment for patients with improved results. 展开更多

A set of techniques for well treatment aimed to enhance oil recovery are considered in the present study.These are based on the application of elastic waves of various types(dilation-wave,vibro-wave,or other acoustically induced effects).In such a context,a new technique is proposed to predict the effectiveness of the elastic-wave well treatment using the rank distribution according to Zipf’s law.It is revealed that,when the results of elastic wave well treatments are analyzed,groups of wells exploiting various geological deposits can differ in terms of their slope coefficients and free members.As the slope coefficient increases,the average increase in the well oil production rate(after the well treatment)becomes larger.An equation is obtained accordingly for estimating the slope coefficient in the Zipf’s equation from the frequency of the elastic wave.The obtained results demonstrate the applicability of the Zipf’s law in the analysis of the technological efficiency of elastic-wave well treatment methods. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Integrating conventional ultrasound features with 2D shear wave elastography(2D-SWE)can potentially enhance preoperative hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)predictions.AIM To develop a 2D-SWE-based predictive model for preoperative identification of HCC.METHODS A retrospective analysis of 884 patients who underwent liver resection and pathology evaluation from February 2021 to August 2023 was conducted at the Oriental Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital.The patients were divided into the modeling group(n=720)and the control group(n=164).The study included conventional ultrasound,2D-SWE,and preoperative laboratory tests.Multiple logistic regression was used to identify independent predictive factors for RESULTS In the modeling group analysis,maximal elasticity(Emax)of tumors and their peripheries,platelet count,cirrhosis,and blood flow were independent risk indicators for malignancies.These factors yielded an area under the curve of 0.77(95%confidence interval:0.73-0.81)with 84%sensitivity and 61%specificity.The model demonstrated good calibration in both the construction and validation cohorts,as shown by the calibration graph and Hosmer-Lemeshow test(P=0.683 and P=0.658,respectively).Additionally,the mean elasticity(Emean)of the tumor periphery was identified as a risk factor for microvascular invasion(MVI)in malignant liver tumors(P=0.003).Patients receiving antiviral treatment differed significantly in platelet count(P=0.002),Emax of tumors(P=0.033),Emean of tumors(P=0.042),Emax at tumor periphery(P<0.001),and Emean at tumor periphery(P=0.003).CONCLUSION 2D-SWE’s hardness value serves as a valuable marker for enhancing the preoperative diagnosis of malignant liver lesions,correlating significantly with MVI and antiviral treatment efficacy. 展开更多

However, there are some shortcomings of SPH which are still in open discussion. This paper presents a corrected solid boundary handling method for weakly compressible SPH. This improved method is very helpful for numerical stability and pressure distribution. Compared with other solid boundary handling methods, this corrected method is simpler for virtual ghost particle interpolation and the ghost particle evaluation relationship is clearer. Several numerical tests are given, like dam breaking, solitary wave impact and sloshing tank waves. The results show that the corrected solid boundary processing method can recover the spurious oscillations of pressure distribution when simulating the problems with complex geometry boundary. 展开更多

A two-dimensional multi-material code was indigenously developed to investigate the effects of duct boundary conditions and ignition positions on the propagation law of explosion wave for hydrogen and methane-based combustible mixture gas. In the code,Young's technique was employed to track the interface between the explosion products and air,and combustible function model was adopted to simulate ignition process. The code was employed to study explosion flow field inside and outside the duct and to obtain peak pressures in different boundary conditions and ignition positions. Numerical results suggest that during the propagation in a duct,for point initiation,the curvature of spherical wave front gradually decreases and evolves into plane wave. Due to the multiple reflections on the duct wall,multi-peak values appear on pressure-time curve,and peak pressure strongly relies on the duct boundary conditions and ignition position. When explosive wave reaches the exit of the duct,explosion products expand outward and forms shock wave in air. Multiple rarefaction waves also occur and propagate upstream along the duct to decrease the pressure in the duct. The results are in agreement with one-dimensional isentropic gas flow theory of the explosion products,and indicate that the ignition model and multi-material interface treatment method are feasible. 展开更多

目的观察单根锉Wave One镍钛器械用于治疗弯曲根管的临床效果。方法采用临床资料查证法及充填后疗效观察法。方便选取2014年9月—2016年9月以来该院口腔科诊治的98例磨牙急、慢性根尖周炎和牙髓炎患者,所有磨牙牙根都有一定的弯曲度。... 目的观察单根锉Wave One镍钛器械用于治疗弯曲根管的临床效果。方法采用临床资料查证法及充填后疗效观察法。方便选取2014年9月—2016年9月以来该院口腔科诊治的98例磨牙急、慢性根尖周炎和牙髓炎患者,所有磨牙牙根都有一定的弯曲度。按照预备根管所采用的器械不同,等分为对照组和观察组,分别采用传统不锈钢K锉和单根锉Wave One镍钛器械,都采用侧压方式进行根管充填,观察两组用于治疗弯曲根管的临床效果。记录根管预备过程中台阶形成,根尖拉开和治疗时间,比较根管成形和充填效果,随访充填后疼痛情况。结果对照组优良率85.71%(42/49)明显低于观察组优良率97.96%(48/49),两组数据差异有统计学意义(χ~2=11.334 9,P=0.049 6<0.05),观察组行根管治疗术的时间比对照组明显缩短,大大提升临床效率。结论单根锉Wave One镍钛器械用于治疗弯曲根管的临床效果确切,比之传统不锈钢K锉有着更高的临床疗效优良率,且大幅减少治疗时间,值得大力推广。 展开更多

In clinical practice, dentists sometimes encounter phenomena that cannot be explained by common medical concepts;for example, patients’ bodily symptoms immediately improved after adjusting a denture that was not even inside their mouth, by extracting an infected tooth, and by bringing medicine close to the body. Although it seems difficult to completely elucidate the mechanism through modern medicine, it can be explained using quantum mechanics if it is assumed that symptoms appear because of the pathological waves emitted by the afflicted area of the body. The quantum, the smallest unit of matter composition, exhibits wave-particle duality. The fact that symptoms can be improved simply by bringing dentures or medicines closer to the body indicates that the waves emitted by dentures or medicine interfere with the pathological waves. Thus, the pathological waves are deformed and lead to a change in symptoms. In this way, quantum theory can explain phenomena that are difficult to elucidate in conventional medicine, which are encountered in daily clinical practice. Using biological reactions, unsolved problems in quantum mechanics, such as measurement problems, can be solved. 展开更多

目的研究肌骨超声定位引导下冲击波治疗手掌腕部和前臂外伤术后继发手部肌腱粘连的效果。方法手掌腕部和前臂外伤术后继发手部肌腱粘连患者80例,按随机数字表法分为治疗组和对照组,每组40例,两组患者均给予手掌腕部和前臂肌腱康复治疗,... 目的研究肌骨超声定位引导下冲击波治疗手掌腕部和前臂外伤术后继发手部肌腱粘连的效果。方法手掌腕部和前臂外伤术后继发手部肌腱粘连患者80例,按随机数字表法分为治疗组和对照组,每组40例,两组患者均给予手掌腕部和前臂肌腱康复治疗,如蜡疗、关节松动术、作业治疗。对照组患者,根据关节活动度受限情况,徒手检查确定手掌腕部和前臂肌腱粘连部位,给予冲击波治疗;治疗组患者,先对手掌腕部和前臂肌骨超声检查,确定肌腱粘连部位,进行标记定位,再根据定位进行冲击波治疗。两组患者均康复治疗4周,治疗前后对两组患者进行肌骨超声评估手部肌腱粘连程度,肌腱总主动活动度(TAM)测定,VAS疼痛视觉模拟评分评定,上肢及手功能DASH问卷评分测定。结果两组患者在治疗前手部肌腱粘连程度、肌腱TAM、疼痛VAS评分、上肢及手功能DASH评分比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),具有可比性。治疗4周后两组患者手部肌腱粘连程度明显改善,肌腱TAM增加,疼痛VAS评分降低,上肢及手功能DASH评分升高,但是治疗组患者手部肌腱粘连程度改善更明显,肌腱TAM增加更多,疼痛VAS评分降低更明显,上肢及手功能DASH评分升高更多,两组比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。结论肌骨超声定位引导下冲击波治疗结合常规康复治疗可以明显改善继发性手部肌腱粘连,恢复手部分功能。 展开更多

分析体外冲击波碎石(extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy,ESWL)治疗无效的输尿管结石伴感染患者不同手术治疗时机的选择及其具体作用。选取2021年1月—2023年6月贵州省瓮安县人民医院经ESWL治疗无效的82例输尿管结石伴感染患者为研... 分析体外冲击波碎石(extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy,ESWL)治疗无效的输尿管结石伴感染患者不同手术治疗时机的选择及其具体作用。选取2021年1月—2023年6月贵州省瓮安县人民医院经ESWL治疗无效的82例输尿管结石伴感染患者为研究对象,将患者按照不同手术治疗时机以及患者病情进行分组,分为两组,每组各41例。观察组患者在ESWL治疗无效后立即行逆行经尿道输尿管镜碎石取石术(ureteroscopic lithotripsy,URL)治疗,对照组患者在ESWL治疗无效后7天行URL治疗,比较两组患者治疗效果。结果显示,观察组患者治疗总有效率和结石清除率高于对照组(P<0.05),并发症总发生率低于对照组(P<0.05);术后,观察组患者IPSS评分低于对照组(P<0.05),血清学指标和生活质量评分优于对照组(P<0.05);观察组患者临床症状消失时间短于对照组(P<0.05)。研究发现,对ESWL治疗无效的输尿管结石伴感染患者立即行URL治疗,可提高结石清除率,减少术后并发症,改善患者前列腺症状和生活质量,缩短患者临床症状消失时间,优化患者血清学指标。 展开更多

背景:体外冲击波因对各种肌肉骨骼疾病的潜在益处而备受关注,越来越多的研究证明其具有缓解疼痛和功能恢复等优良效果。然而,针对体外冲击波治疗疼痛相关可视化研究相对缺乏。目的:对体外冲击波治疗疼痛相关研究进行可视化分析,梳理国... 背景:体外冲击波因对各种肌肉骨骼疾病的潜在益处而备受关注,越来越多的研究证明其具有缓解疼痛和功能恢复等优良效果。然而,针对体外冲击波治疗疼痛相关可视化研究相对缺乏。目的:对体外冲击波治疗疼痛相关研究进行可视化分析,梳理国内外该领域的知识结构、探索研究现状及热点趋势。方法:检索Web of Science(WOS)核心合集数据库及中国知网(CNKI)数据库中2002-2022年间体外冲击波治疗疼痛相关研究的文献,利用Citespace软件进行可视化分析制作图谱并解读其涵义。结果与结论:①共纳入文献2101篇,发文量呈波动性上升趋势,美国和中国在发文量具有一定优势;发文机构多为大学和医院,发文作者多属于独立团队,发文机构及作者彼此交流有待加强,跨机构、跨地域合作度较低;关键词可视化分析表明体外冲击波在肌骨疾病应用广泛,未来研究侧重于多学科深入研究及联合疗法的临床疗效观察。②体外冲击波应用于疼痛领域的研究主要集中在足底筋膜炎、肩周炎、网球肘等肌肉骨骼疾病的治疗。近年来与超声引导注射治疗、中国传统治疗技术的联合治疗及新领域的拓展是研究趋势及关注热点。 展开更多

目的:结合足底压力评估,探究运动贴扎联合体外冲击波治疗足底筋膜炎的临床疗效。方法:本研究纳入67例来院就诊的单侧足底筋膜炎患者,随机分为对照组和试验组,两组患者均予以健康宣教及体外冲击波治疗(ESWT),试验组在此基础上联合运动贴... 目的:结合足底压力评估,探究运动贴扎联合体外冲击波治疗足底筋膜炎的临床疗效。方法:本研究纳入67例来院就诊的单侧足底筋膜炎患者,随机分为对照组和试验组,两组患者均予以健康宣教及体外冲击波治疗(ESWT),试验组在此基础上联合运动贴扎(KT)治疗。采用疼痛视觉模拟评分、AOFAS踝与后足功能评分量表,评估患者疼痛程度及功能活动;采用鞋垫式足底压力测量系统测量患者足底各区压力峰力值。比较治疗前、治疗第3周、治疗第5周的临床疗效及患侧足底压力变化。结果:治疗前两组患者各项指标差异均无显著性意义(P>0.05)。与治疗前相比,治疗第3周、治疗第5周,两组患者的疼痛程度及功能活动的量表评分、足底压力均出现明显改善,差异有显著性意义(P<0.05)。治疗第3周,两组患者的疼痛程度及功能活动的量表评分的组间差异不显著(P>0.05),而足底压力分析存在显著性差异(P<0.05),运动贴扎联合治疗组足跟内侧的峰力值体重比显著大于对照组。治疗第5周,两组患者的疼痛程度及功能活动的量表评分、足底压力的组间差异均存在显著性意义(P<0.05),运动贴扎联合治疗组在疼痛改善情况、功能活动情况显著优于对照组,中足、后足负重也显著高于对照组。结论:相比单纯的体外冲击波治疗,辅以运动贴扎进行联合治疗能够更好地缓解疼痛、改善后足功能、纠正异常的足底负重、改善患者步态。 展开更多
