Construction of universal calibration model for levofloxacin injections by fiber-optic transmittance-reflectance near-infrared spectroscopy

The general strategy and method of constructing universal calibration model for levofioxacin injections by near-infrared spectroscopy have been investigated and discussed. Firstly, a constant-temperature homogeneous liquid calibration model for levofloxacin hydrochloride injections with the same composition but different active principal ingredient (API) content was established as the basic unit for universal model. Then, samples of levofloxacin hydrochloride injections containing propylene glycol or levofloxacin lactate injections were added to develop a primary constant-temperature liquid universal model. Temperature- amended final universal model was established to apply to samples under different temperatures. The final model was built from 61 calibration samples and 77 validation samples. The value of the root mean square error of cross validation (RMSECV) and coefficient of determination (r2) of leave-one-out cross-validation (LOOCV) were 0.792 and 0.9993, respectively, the root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) of test set validation (TSV) was 0.87, and the average relative deviation was 1.44%. According to the ICH guidelines, the universal calibration model was evaluated. Based on the experimental statistical results, the recommended number of calibration samples for a constant-temperature homogeneous liquid quantitative model was no less than 15. 展开更多

Ten fractionated samples of Chinese lacquer polysaccharide in aqueous 0.1M NaC1 solution were studied by aqueous-phase gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The universal calibration, broad MWD calibration and corrected column dispersion were adopted to the analysis of GPC chromatograms of the polysaccharide. The molecular weights M;, M;and polydispersity index M;/M;obtained from GPC are in good agreement with the results of light scattering and membrane osmometry. It is verified that the universal calibration concept is applicable to the lacquer polysaccharide having a number of side chains. 展开更多

A universal approach to camera calibration based on features of some representative lines on traffic ground is presented. It uses only a set of three parallel edges with known intervals and one of their intersected lines with known slope to gain the focal length and orientation parameters of a camera. A set of equations that computes related camera parameters has been derived from geometric properties of the calibration pattern. With accurate analytical implementation, precision of the approach is only decided by accuracy of the calibration target selecting. Final experimental results have showed its validity by a snapshot from real automatic visual traffic surveillance (AVTS) scencs. 展开更多
