Research on Angular Output Velocity of a Drive Shaft with Double Cross Universal Joints

The study object is the angular output velocity of the drive shaft which is made up of two series-wound cross universal joints. We have deduced the function relation between the angular output velocity and initiative input angle of the drive shaft with double cross universal joints that is based on the calculation formula of the angular output velocity of a single cross universal joint, and by analyzing the relation between the two input angles. By using this function relation, the constant velocity condition of the drive shaft with double cross universal joints" is verified. The step-by-step searching algorithm is adopted to obtain the optimal phase angle that leads to the minimum fluctuate index of the angular output velocity in the vary velocity condition. At the same time, we worked out the maximal and minimum value of the angular output velocity, and their initiative input angle. The correctness of the function of the angular output velocity and the step-by-step search algorithm are verified by an ADAMS simulation example. 展开更多

Pillar[5]arene-based molecular universal joints(MUJs), bearing fused crown ether subring(MUJ1 and MUJ3) or a ring without ether oxygen atom(MUJ2), were synthesized and enantio–differentiated. Significant chiral inversion was observed for the crown ether-fused MUJs upon the addition of equivalent cations Na+, showing an anisotropy(g) factor of 0.014, while alkyl subring-fused MUJ2 showed no CD inversions. Unprecedentedly, sodium ion triggered rolling-in motion of the subring to the pillar[5]arene cavity was verified, and the synergistic noncovalent interaction of cation-π interactions and C–H···π interactions were responsible for the stabilized self-included conformers. The addition of Me OH or competitive hosts 15-crown-5 ether disassembled the complex of MUJ1 and Na+followed by a rolling-out of the subring, which made the sodium-ion triggered chiroptical switching reversible. 展开更多

The lack of research on flexible drilling tool leads to limited application of ultra-short radius horizontal wells.The flexible drilling tool is different from the conventional drilling tool.The flexible drilling pipe involves a mutual transition between the structure and the mechanism during the deformation process.At the same time,the flexible drilling pipe and the eccentric guide tube,the guide tube and the wellbore generate random contact.In this paper,3-D beam elements,universal joint elements,rigid beam elements and the beam-beam contact elements are combined to establish a two-layer contact nonlinear finite element model of the flexible drilling tool in the wellbore.The dynamic relaxation method is introduced for numerical solution.The feasibility of the model and the algorithm is verified by an example.The mechanical analysis of flexible drilling tool under the four hole inclinations in the oblique section is carried out.It is found that the flexible drilling pipe has a“folded line”deformation.The contact force between the flexible drilling pipe and the guide tube is randomly distributed.The contact force between the guide tube and the wellbore in the oblique section is greater than that in the vertical section.As the hole inclinations increase,the torque and axial force transmitted to the drill bit gradually decrease. 展开更多
