By means of computer simulation, potentials of the two methods were compared. Results showed that the two methods had similar basic laws and their efficiencies were not significantly different except that GS behaved better in the case where the number of QTLs was large and QTL effects were equal. From the application point of view, combination of GS and GVS should be the development direction of MAS research in the future.展开更多

While emerging evidence suggests that minimally invasive spine surgery reduces morbidity, duration of hospitalization, and accelerates return to activites of daily living, data regarding cost effectiveness of these novel techniques is limited. The current study analyzes all available data on minimally invasive techniques for lumbar discectomy, decompression, short-segment fusion and deformity surgery. In general, minimallyinvasive spine procedures appear to hold promise in quicker patient recovery times and earlier return to work. Thus, minimally invasive lumbar spine surgery appears to have the potential to be a cost-effective intervention. Moreover, novel less invasive procedures are less destabilizing and may therefore be utilized in certain indications that traditionally required arthrodesis procedures. However, there is a lack of studies analyzing the economic impact of minimally invasive spine surgery. Future studies are necessary to confirm the durability and further define indications for minimally invasive lumbar spine procedures.展开更多

TEISBERG which has been modified for implementation over the last seventeen years. This new program is paid by Commercial Health Insurers (Insurance Companies) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (Medicare). This program incorporates the patients, doctors, Life Sciences Companies, Insurance Companies, Holistic practice, traditional Chinese medicine, etc. with alternative traditional treatments and therapies for Real-World Evidence based and value-based treatment customized to patients’ needs and the patients benefit. Methods: The program was proposed to achieve value for patients and an improved healthcare system which is especially needed to provide treatment for patients in Serious or Life-threatening conditions or diseases. The program will accurately measure the outcomes of patients and provide a wider choice of treatments that matter to patients, also to measure the cost that successful alternative treatments provide which may lower the cost to Medicare and Insurance Companies. Conclusion: The proposed and now implemented program is to achieve value for patients. Golden Sunrise Nutraceutical (Golden Sunrise) provides a New Medical Innovation and treatment alternative to patients suffering from Serious or Life-threatening illnesses. By using Golden Sunrise Innovation and with the incorporation of Value-based Care patients will become the drivers or it could be said the patient Ambassadors of their own health. By incorporating Golden Sunrise Innovation, the doctors will have more diversity of treatments available for their patients. Payment should reflect value not volume, and the New Medical Innovation Golden Sunrise offers will help in reducing the costs to Insurance Companies accelerating the adoption of Value-Based Care.展开更多

Thus, the economic values of the organization and its departments were calculated, according to the theory studied: measurement model of economic result of Slomski (1996). It was considered the conduction of a case study in a public UH, evaluating its economic performance in a 3-year period. For the interpretation of results, the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) which categorized the departments of the hospital studied as efficient or inefficient was used. This study revealed that managers can improve the decision-making process by using the EVAS, since it has been established that this measurement of economic value has sensitivity to identify which of the economic value drivers should be emphasized in the management.展开更多

The concepts of "frame continuation" and "value-based identity" can be used as theoretical foundation to explore and explain the phenomena of dakwah movement performed by the alumni of KAMMI. Field research on KAMMI alumni role provides the primary empirical foundation for investigating frame continuation, a sustainability of the dakwah movement beyond students' movement organization. Discussion about KAMMI alumni's role provides empirical evidences about how they have strong commitment on either political or religious activities (or both) as their strategies to maintain and continue their previous identity as both political and religious activists. The main foundation for their activism is a value of dakwah (proselytizing), in which Islamic values are believed to be a suitable vehicle for constructing a sacred society in democratic era of Indonesia. The KAMMI alumni believe their movement is a significant religious duty.展开更多

But this in-flight forwarding only occupies about 15% of all store-load communications, which makes the CAM-based micro-architecture the major bottleneck to scale store-load communication further. This paper presents a new micro-architecture named ASW (short for active store window). It provides a new structure named speculative active store window to implement more aggressively speculative store-load forwarding than conventional LSQ. This structure could forward the data of committed stores to the executing loads without accessing to L1 data cache, which is referred to as far forwarding in this paper. At the back-end of the pipeline, it uses in-order load re-execution filtered by the tagged SSBF (short for store sequence bloom filter) to verify the correctness of the store-load forwarding. The speculative active store window and tagged store sequence bloom filter are all set-associate structures that are more efficient and scalable than fully associative structures. Experiments show that this simpler and faster design outperforms a conventional load/store queue based design and the NoSO desien on most benchmarks by 10.22% and 8.71% respectively.展开更多
