Three bias filters are developed based on different noise characteristics to cover a wide range of noise levels. Then, an accurate estimation of biases is calculated by the interacting multiple model algorithm to correct the bias-free filter. Thus, the vehicle positioning system can achieve good performance when suffering from uncertain inertial sensor noise. The experimental results indicate that the average position error of the proposed IMMTSKF is 25% lower than that of the general TSKF.展开更多

To overcome this limitation,a new vehicle positioning method based on radio frequency identification( RFID) is proposed. First RFID base stations are divided into three categories using fuzzy technology, and then Chan algorithm is used to calculate three vehicles' positions, which are weighed to acquire vehicles' accurate position. This method can effectively overcome the problem that vehicle positioning accuracy is not high resulting from the factors such as ambient noise and base distribution when Chan algorithm is used. Experimental results show that the performance of the proposed method is superior to Chan algorithm and 2-step algorithm based on averaging method, which can satisfy the requirements of vehicle positioning in VANETs.展开更多

Trajectory planning in the traditional route deviation detection is defined by the driver through the mobile phone navigation software, which plays a more auxiliary driving role. This paper presents a method of vehicle trajectory deviation detection. Firstly, the manager customizes the trajectory planning and then uses big data technologies to match the deviation between the trajectory planning and the vehicle trajectory. Finally, it achieves the supervisory function of the manager on the vehicle track route in real-time. The results show that this method could detect the vehicle trajectory deviation quickly and accurately, and has practical application value.展开更多

In order to maintain the formation, this paper proposes to use pure azimuth passive positioning to adjust the position of UAVs, i.e., certain UAVs in the formation transmit signals, the rest of the UAVs receive the signals passively, and extract the orientation information from them to adjust the position of the UAVs [1] [2] [3]. In this paper, the position adjustment problem of UAVs in “circular” formation flight under three models is investigated. To address the problem of “how to obtain the position of the receiving UAV when there are two UAVs with known numbers and evenly distributed on the circumference in addition to the UAV transmitting at the known center of the circle, and the rest of the UAVs with slight deviations in their positions are receiving the signals”, two purely mathematical geometric methods, namely, triangular localization method and polar co-ordinate method, are proposed respectively. We have determined the position of the receiving UAV;we have used the exhaustive method and the construction and disproof method to solve the problem of “how many UAVs are needed to transmit signals in order to realize the effective positioning of the UAVs when it is known that a certain UAV with a slight deviation in its position receives the signals emitted by two UAVs at the same time”, and the results show that: in addition to the known signals emitted by two UAVs, it is also necessary to transmit the signals emitted by two UAVs. The results show that in addition to the known two UAVs transmitting signals, two additional UAVs are required to transmit signals for precise po-sitioning. When the position of UAVs has deviation at the initial moment, the ideal approximation method and the target delimitation method are pro-posed, and the target of nine UAVs uniformly distributed on a circle of a spe-cific radius is achieved through several adjustments, after which the ad-vantages and disadvantages of each model are analyzed, and suggestions for improvement are put forward. The purely azimuthal passive localization method and the constructed model approach proposed in this paper can be extended to other fields, such as spacecraft formations in space and battle-ship formations at sea, as well as other formation flight position adjustment problems.展开更多

This filter results from two years of research and improves the Swarm Particle Filter (SPF). The OKPS has been designed to be both cooperative and reactive. It combines the advantages of the Particle Filter (PF) and the metaheuristic Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for ego-vehicles localization applications. In addition to a simple fusion between the swarm optimization and the particular filtering (which leads to the Swarm Particle Filter), the OKPS uses some attributes of the Extended Kalman filter (EKF). The OKPS filter innovates by fitting its particles with a capacity of self-diagnose by means of the EKF covariance uncertainty matrix. The particles can therefore evolve by exchanging information to assess the optimized position of the ego-vehicle. The OKPS fuses data coming from embedded sensors (low cost INS, GPS and Odometer) to perform a robust ego-vehicle positioning. The OKPS is compared to the EKF filter and to filters using particles (PF and SPF) on real data from our equipped vehicle.展开更多

The road environment is becoming more and more complicated. The vehicle ego-localization in complex road environment puts forward imperative requirements for intelligent driving technology. The reliable vehicle ego-localization, including the lane recognition and the vehicle position and attitude estimation, at the complex traffic intersection is significant for the intelligent driving of the vehicle. In this article, we focus on the complex road environment of the city, and propose a pose and position estimation method based on the road sign using only a monocular camera and a common GPS (global positioning system). Associated with the multi-sensor cascade system, this method can be a stable and reliable alternative when the precision of multi-sensor cascade system decreases. The experimental results show that, within 100 meters distance to the road signs, the pose error is less than 2 degrees, and the position error is less than one meter, which can reach the lane-level positioning accuracy. Through the comparison with the Beidou high-precision positioning system L202, our method is more accurate for detecting which lane the vehicle is driving on.展开更多
