While the students are learning, their learning is far from ideal or from what the lecturers had intended. Ramsden's findings suggest that there are different levels of learning and that the majority of students are not attaining the level that lecturer's judge to be of value. Learning the English language can be fun through the use of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Obviously, the trend nowadays is the application of modern technology. Students can now get learning applications on their mobile phones, IPhones, IPads, and ITouch to widen their vocabulary and to increase their knowledge in the four skills such as, Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. The accessibility of learning materials from the library can now be made available anywhere and anytime for students and teachers. This paper seeks to answer the following questions: (I) What is VLE? (2) What are the purposes of establishing VLE in a university? (3) How will the contents make student learning possible? (4) What will its impact on student learning be? The author believes that learning "how to learn" (metacognition) can be improved and enhanced for the students. The VLE serves as a supplementary learning tool in attaining such a goal.展开更多

The Internet activities promote learners' self-monitoring ability, encourage the use of multimedia and network technology, and develop students' cooperation and participation. During the latest years, there have been many changes in education as these new technologies, including VLEs (Virtual Learning Environments), which have become an important part in the teaching/learning process. According to Tech Terms Computer Dictionary (2012), VLE is a virtual classroom where teachers and students communicate. VLEs have evolved as at an early stage, they were only ways of transmitting information: Teachers uploaded the multimedia resources and students read this information. At a higher stage, VLEs have become interactive. This means that students become active. We have designed a virtual environment where students, weekly, must contribute their opinions and comments in response to a required activity uploaded by the teacher. In this paper, we describe this weekly task and analyze students' opinion about this planned activity. The students become an active subject in this field. In this paper, we show how VLEs are no longer a means of transmitting information but a means of interaction as well as a way of motivating our students to be involved in their learning process展开更多

The model consists of different approaches, and based on the priority and the requirement, we need to create a model, and this article is dealing with the prediction related to bank customers and their loan processing, etc. In this article, we have a global dataset collected related to 10000 customers of a single bank and their account and other details related to the customers of the bank. Here, we are implementing using tensor flow and Keras libraries to create an artificial neural network which will work on the model and hidden layers. The hidden layers are the most import part of the presentation, and the virtual environment in the field can be helpful for the better prediction of the related things. Machine learning implementations with the combination of deep learning artificial neural networks and also with tensor flow and Keras will be the most exciting and attractive portion of the research work in any field of science and technology. This architecture and application will help to predict future bank applications, and this can be helpful for the customers to understand their level of applications and products usage based on their account weight.展开更多

The website prepares, assists and supports the learners through their Mechanical Engineering Projects in an accredited academic programme. The research question answered was "Is the VLE website helpful to learners in the final years of mechanical engineering projects?" The research focuses on the learners' experiences of using the project website and explores their views regarding the website. The literature relating to the study indicates that similar programmes have had positive results in relation to the adoption of VLEs to support learners. The data collection process involved an initial questionnaire about the website for the quantitative analysis. Thirty-nine project learners from the third and fourth years of the Mechanical Engineering programme participated in the questionnaires. The analysis of the questionnaire results indicated that the project website VLE was very helpful to learners completing their Mechanical Engineering projects. They all used the website for different aspects of the project but they still wanted a lecturer or lecturers to consult with for problems during the course of the project. The kinesthetic learning achieved in the project modules cannot be replicated or replaced by any virtual learning environment. The website afforded the learner to be better prepared for the project start in September. It gives the learner another resource to refer to when they were working at home, during the holidays or when they come to a particular part of the project. The website also teaches the learner to use the internet, videos, screencasts, tutorials, etc. to help them to complete the project. The website has enhanced student learning, motivation, earlier starts to project, peer learning and has improved the quality of projects.展开更多
