The resulted high order implicit difference equations were effeciently solved by the modified incomplete LU decomposition conjugate gradient scheme ( MILU-CG). The effects of surface suction or blowing' s position and strength on the vortex structures in the cylinder wake, as well as on the drag and lift forces at Reynoldes number Re = 100 were investigated numerically. The results show that the suction on the shoulder of the cylinder or the blowing on the rear of the cylinder can effeciently suppress the asymmetry of the vortex wake in the transverse direction and greatly reduce the lift force; the suction on the shoulder of the cylinder, when its strength is properly chosen, can reduce the drag force significantly, too.展开更多

Firstly, a rigorous variational framework with the equivalence between the velocity pressure and the vorticity velocity formulations is presented in a Lipschitz domain. Next, a class of Galerkin finite element approximations of the corresponding variational form is introduced, and a convergence analysis is given for the Stokes problem. Finally, an iterative finite element solver for the Navier Stokes problem is proposed.展开更多

Then, the included subjects were diagnosed by the Four-diagnostic auxiliary apparatus.RESULTS: Thirty liver cancer patients and 30 paired healthy controls were enrolled in this study. Based on the apparatus, the pulse wave velocity was significantly higher in patients compared with controls(P < 0.05). The number of patients with purple tongue and ecchymosis were more than controls(P < 0.05). The number of patients(10%) with yellow tongue coating were higher than the controls(0%). Patients were inclined to be with water type and fire type constitution.CONCLUSION: TCM Four-diagnostic auxiliary apparatus can be applied in clinical diagnosis of body constitution and health status of subjects. It promotes the accuracy and speed for disease diagnosis and TCM standardization.展开更多

To reduce energy consumption and diminish environment hazards, various integration methods have been developed. exchange networks (HENs), The application of heat mass exchange networks (MENs), water allocation heat exchange networks (WAHENs) and work exchange networks (WENs) have resulted in the significant saving of energy and water. This review presents the main works related to each network. The similarities and differences of these networks are also discussed. Through comparing and discussing these different networks, this review inspires researchers to propose more efficient and convenient methods for the design of existing exchange networks and even new types of networks including multi-objective networks for the system integration in order to enhance the optimization and controllability of processes.展开更多

We describe an adaptive Whitney finite element method for solving the magnetoquasistatic formulation of Maxwell's equations on unstructured 3D tetrahedral grids. Spatial mesh re- finement and coarsening are based on hierarchical error estimators especially designed for combining tetrahedral H(curl)-conforming edge elements in space with linearly implicit Rosenbrock methods in time. An embedding technique is applied to get efficiency in time through variable time steps. Finally, we present numerical results for the magnetic recording write head benchmark problem proposed by the Storage Research Consortium in Japan.展开更多

This 1-D model was successfully implemented in one 4 300 mm plate production line. To improve the calculation accuracy of this model, the temperature-dependent material properties inside an element were considered during the modeling process. Furthermore, in order to satisfy the real-time requirements of the on-line model, the variable bandwidth storage method and the Cholesky decomposition method were used in the programming to storage the data and carry out the numerical solution. The on-line application of the proposed model indicated that the devia- tion between the calculated cooling stop temperature and the measured one was less than ± 15 ℃.展开更多

This DDM uses the electric field integral equation (EFIE) for the solution of Maxwell problems in both interior and exterior subdomains, and we propose a simple preconditioner for the global method, based on the single layer operator restricted to the fictitious interface between the two subdomains.展开更多
