The volume ratio of water phase to oily phase is one of the critical parameters in forming core-sheath fibers. In this study, water phase was presented by hydrophilic tetracycline hydrochloride and oily phase by hydrophobic poly (E-caprolactone) (PCL). The effects of volume ratios of water phase to oily phase on fiber morphology and in vitro drug release were investigated. Scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ), transmission electron microscopy ( TEM), and eonfoeal laser scanning microscopy(CLSM) were used to observe the morphology, core.sheath structure of the fibers and drug loading in the fibers, respectively. Samples of three different volume ratios of water phase to oily phase, 1: 25, 1:15, and 1:10, were prepared with the same concentration of drug solution. Experiment results showed that, with an increase in the volume ratios of water phase to oily phase, the fiber diameter increased and diameter distribution scattered. The drug entrapment efficiency of the fibers reduces with the increase in volume ratios, L e. , from 73.48 % in the ratio of 1 : 25, 62.23 % in 1 : 15, down to 45.63 % in 1:10. In vitro release tests showed that a higher volume ratio of water phase to oily phase would lead to a lower release rate resulted from thicker fiber sheath.展开更多

The method was applied to detect the benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene and cumene(BTEXC) in the sample collected from the surface or 15 cm depth of water. Two hundred ml of n hexane pretreated and filtered water samples were applied directly to a C 18 SPE column. BTEXC were extracted with dichloromethane and average concentrations were obtained as 0 104 to 0 372 μg/ml. The highest concentration of benzene was found as 0 372 μg/ml with a relative standard deviation(RSD) of 6 2%, and cumene was not detected. Factors influencing SPE e.g., adsorbent types, sample load volume, eluting solvent, headspace and temperatures, were investigated. A cartridge containing a C 18 adsorbent and using dichloromethane gave better performance for extraction of BTEXC from water. Average recoveries exceeding 90% could be achieved for cumene at 4℃ with a 2 7% RSD.展开更多

Industrial water glass for preparation of the nano silicon dioxide matrix and CA-MA eutectic mixture were compounded by single-step sol-gel method with the silane coupling agent. The morphology, chemical characterization and form stability property of the composite PCM were investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Fourier-transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy and polarizing microscopy(POM). It was indicated that the average diameter of the composite PCM particle ranged from 30-100 nm. The CA-MA eutectic was immobilized in the network pores constructed by the Si-O bonds so that the composite PCM was allowed no liquid leakage above the melting temperature of the CA-MA eutectic. Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) measurement were conducted to investigate the thermal properties and stability of the composite PCM. From the measurement results, the mass fraction of the CA-MA eutectic in the composite PCM was about 40%. The phase change temperature and latent heat of the composite were determined to be 21.15 ℃ and 55.67 J/g, respectively. Meanwhile, thermal conductivity of the composite was measured to be 0.208 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1) by using the transient hot-wire method. The composite PCM was able to maintain the surrounding temperature close to its phase change temperature and behaved well in thermalregulated performance which was verified by the heat storage-release experiment. This kind of form-stable PCM was supposed to complete thermal insulation even temperature regulation by the dual effect of relatively low thermal conductivity and phase change thermal storage-release properties. So it can be formulated that the nanoscale CA-MA/SiO_2 composite PCM with the form-stable property, good thermal storage capacity and relatively low thermal conductivity can be applied for energy conservation as a kind of thermal functional material.展开更多

The unit difference method is adopted to deduce the phase transition model for water flow irradiated by a high-energy laser. In addition, the model is simulated and verified through experiments. Among them, the experimental verification uses the photographic method, shooting the distribution and the form of the air mass of water flow in different operating conditions, which are compared with the simulation results. The research shows that it is achievable to reduce the intensity of the phase transition by increasing the water flow, reducing the power intensity of the beam, shortening the distance the beam covers, reducing the initial water temperature or adopting a shorter wavelength laser. The study's results will provide the reference for the design of a water-direct-absorption-type high-energy laser energy meter as well as an analysis of the interaction processes of other similar high-power lasers and water flow.展开更多

Acetonitrile-rich phase increases with increasing NaCl concentration (cNaCl) at xACN ≈ 0.25. 1H chemical shift of water for acetonitrile-rich phase rapidly decreases with decreasing NaCl mole concentration and that for water-rich phase quickly increases with increasing cNaCl. However, 1H chemical shift of acetonitrile has nothing to do with the molar concentration of NaCl, and it keeps relatively stable for all solutions (±0.002). These results reveal that Na+ and Cl- are rapidly hydrated by water, not by acetonitrile. The change of 1H chemical shift of water has shown that the number of hydrogen bond increases or hydrogen bond strengths with increasing NaCl molarity in mixtures. But hydrogen bond is broken or weaken with the temperature rising. 1H chemical shifts of pure water and the water in acetonitrile-rich phase have been investigated at 293 K, 298 K and 303 K. The hydration number of Na+ (6.05) in water-rich phase is determined by an empirical equation involving 1H chemical shift, temperature and NaCl molarity, which is in good agreement with the literatures.展开更多

Possible impact parameters such as sample pH, extraction and disperser solvents, salting-out effect, and extraction time were investigated. The experimental results indicated that proposed method possessed an excellent analytical performance, The linear range, detection limit, and precision (R.S.D.) were 0.1- 50 ng mL- 1 (R2 = 0.9955), 0.601 ng mL- 1 and 6,4%, respectively. The related numerical simulation has been performed by using the Computational Fluid Dynamics code-CFX4.2, in which lateral interfacial effects based on a two-fluid model are accounted for. This model has been used to evaluate the velocity fields of gas and liquid phases, as well as phase distribution between elements in rod bundle by simulating 1/4 zone of experimental model, and mixing vanes of spacer in this area. Fur- thermore, this model has been used to predict the effects of spacer on flow and pressure drop along the rod bundle. The calculation results show that the mixing vane has significant influence on axial and lateral velocity. In order to obtain some experimental data to verify the numerical solutions, a series of tests, using a specially designed 3×3 rod bundle test section with AFA-2G structure spacer have been performed. An optical probe was used to measure local void fractions. At the same time, the pressure loss has been measured. A comparison between the calculated void pro- file and pressure loss and the measured results shows that the predicted void profiles are consistent at low gas appar- ent velocity. This research shows that the code CFX4.2 can be used to describe the 3-D air-water two-phase flow in the rod bundle channel with grid spacer.展开更多

文摘The solid–liquid equilibria(SLE)for binary and ternary systems consisting of N-Vinylpyrrolidone(NVP),2-Pyrrolidone(2-P)and water are measured. The phase diagrams of NVP(1)+2-P(2),NVP(1)+water(2),NVP(1)+2-P(2)+1 wt%water(3)and NVP(1)+2-P(2)+2 wt%water(3)are identified as simple eutectic type with the eutectic points at 263.75 K(x_(1E)=0.5427),251.65 K(x_(1E)=0.3722),260.25 K(x_(1E)=0.5031)and256.55 K(x_(1E)=0.4684),respectively.The phase diagram of 2-P(1)+water(2)has two eutectic points(x_(1E)=0.1236,T_E=259.15 K and x_(1E)=0.7831,T_E=286.15 K)and one congruent melting point(x_(1C)=0.4997,T_C=303.55 K)because of the generation of a congruently melting addition compound:2-P·H_2O.The ideal solubility and the UNIFAC models were applied to predict the SLE,while the Wilson and NRTL models were employed in correlating the experimental data. The best correlation of the SLE data has been obtained by the Wilson model for the binary system of NVP+2-P.The UNIFAC model gives more satisfactory predictions than the ideal solubility model.
文摘The microscopic properties of NaCl-induced phase separation of acetonitrile (ACN)-water mixtures have been studied by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). The hydration number of Na+ (6.05) in water-rich phase is determined by an empirical equation involving 1H chemical shift, temperature and NaCl molarity, which is in good agreement with the literatures.

文摘A novel method was described for the rapid determination of atrazine using dispersive liquid phase microextraction in combination with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The proposed method was validated with the real water samples, and the spiked recoveries were in the range of 69.9-89.8%, respectively. These results indicated that the established method with high enrichment factor, short extraction time was an excellent alternative for the routine analysis of atrazine in environmental samples. 2007 Qing Xiang Zhou. 文摘With the spatial coherence of X-rays and high flux and brightness of the 3rd generation synchrotron radiation facility,X-ray phase contrast microscopy(XPCM)at Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF)can provide high resolution dynamic imaging of low electron density materials in principle. In this paper,we investigated the cavitation and water-refilling processes in rice and bamboo leaves utilizing XPCM at SSRF.The occurrence of xylem cavitation was recorded in vivo. The study also revealed that under different dehydration conditions, cavitation occurs in different degrees, and therefore, the refilling process is different. The results demonstrate that SSRF can provide high enough fluxes to study dynamic processes in plants in real-time,and XPCM is expected to be a promising method to reveal the mechanisms of cavitation and its repair in plants nondestructively.
文摘Experimental and numerical simulation were carried out on vertically upward air-water two-phase flow in the rod bundle with grid spacer. This research shows that the code CFX4.2 can be used to describe the 3-D air-water two-phase flow in the rod bundle channel with grid spacer.

文摘The conventional solar heating floor system contains a big water tank to store energy in the day time for heating at night, which takes much building space and is very heavy. In order to reduce the water tank volume even to cancel the tank,a novel structure of integrated water pipe floor heating system using shape-stabilized phase change materials(SSPCM)for thermal energy storage was developed.A numerical model was developed to analyze the performance of SSPCM floor heating system under the intermittent heating condition, which was verified by our experimental data. The thermal performance of the heating system and the effects of various factors on it were analyzed numerically. The factors including phase transition temperature, heat of fusion, thermal conductivity of SSPCM and thermal conductivity of the decoration material were analyzed. The results show that tm and kd are the most import influencing factors on the thermal performance of SSPCM floor heating system, since they determine the heat source temperature and thermal resistance between SSPCM plates and indoor air, respectively.Hm should be large to store enough thermal energy in the day time for nighttimes heating. The effects of kp can be ignored in this system. The SSPCM floor heating system has potential of making use of the daytime solar energy for heating at night efficiently in various climates when its structure is properly designed.
