The main characteristics of the oilfield were multi-phase sand body stacking and the sand body was composed of three parts: gas cap, oil reservoir, and edge water. The actual production site results show that the permeability difference of multi-layer sand bodies has a serious impact on the development effect. This article establishes a typical reservoir model numerical model based on the total recovery degree of the reservoir and the recovery degree of each layer, and analyzes the impact of permeability gradient. As the permeability gradient increases, the total recovery degree of all four well patterns decreases, and the total recovery degree gradually decreases. The recovery degree of low permeability layers gradually decreases, and the recovery degree of high permeability layers gradually increases. As the permeability gradient increases, the degree of recovery gradually decreases under different water contents. As the permeability gradient increases, the reduction rate of remaining oil saturation in low permeability layers is slower, while the reduction rate of remaining oil saturation in high permeability layers was faster. By analyzing the impact of permeability gradient on the development effect of oil fields, we could further deepen our understanding of gas cap edge water reservoirs and guide the development of this type of oil field.展开更多

Considering the existence of impermeable barriers in oil formations, this paper developed a horizontal well flow model and obtained mathematical equations for the critical rate when water cresting forms in bottom-water reservoirs. The result shows that the barrier increases the critical rate and delays water breakthrough. Further study of the barrier size and location shows that increases in the barrier size and the distance between the barrier and oil-water contact lead to higher critical rates. The critical rate gradually approaches a constant as the barrier size increases. In most cases, reservoir barriers are semi-permeable. Based on previous research on impermeable reservoir barrier, a mathematical flow model was derived for a horizontal well of a bottom water drive reservoir with a semi-permeable barrier. Besides, analytical equations were also presented to calculate critical parameters, such as production rate, pressure and potential difference. The effects of barrier, well and reservoir parameters on our model results were further investigated. The results show that the larger the barrier size is or the higher the barrier location is, the higher the critical production rate and potential difference of a horizontal well are. When the barrier permeability equals the formation permeability or the barrier width equals zero, the critical production rates converge to the values same to that of the case with no barrier. When the barrier permeability equals zero, the problem is regarded as a case of impermeable barrier. This model can be applied to predicting horizontal wells' critical production parameters in reservoirs with semi-permeable barriers.展开更多

Oil exploitation from vertical wells is becoming more and more inefficient. The reservoir type, with water displacing oil and the remaining oil distribution are specifically studied in order to improve the efficiency of the recovery ratio. An integrated scheme for adjusting horizontal wells has been designed and the key technique of the scheme optimized. The study shows that: 1) the positive rhythm of fluvial depositional features is the internal cause of the flooding of oil reservoirs while water injection, injection-production patterns and accumulative petroleum production are the external causes; 2) oil-water driving patterns have transferred from edge water advancing to bottom-water-coning; distribution of the remaining oil mainly concentrates in the upper rhythm and top of the middle rhythm in Ng33 members; 3) a great deal of remaining oil is enriched in high positions of faults, in axes of tiny structures, in stagnation areas among water-injection wells and oil-wells and in tectonic saddle areas with sparse wells. Compared with vertical wells, horizontal wells have advantages such as high recovery, high off-take potential, high critical output, large controlling areas and long time of bottom-water breakthrough.展开更多

At present, many contributions to methods of inverting relative permeability curve and forecasting residual recoverable reserves had been made by investigators, but rarely involved in horizontal wells’ in bottom water reservoir. As the pore volume injected was less (usually under 30 PV), the relative permeability curve endpoint had become a serious distortion. That caused a certain deviation in forecasting residual recoverable reserves in the practical value of field directly. For the performance of water cresting, the common method existed some problems, such as no pertinence, ineffectiveness and less affecting factors considered. This paper adopts the streamlines theory with two phases flowing to solve that. Meanwhile, based on the research coupling genetic algorithm, optimized relative permeability curve was calculated by bottom-water drive model. The residual oil saturation calculated was lower than the initial’s, and the hydrophilic property was more reinforced, due to improving the pore volume injected vastly. Also, the study finally helped us enhance residual recoverable reserves degree at high water cut stage, more than 20%, taking Guantao sandstone as an example. As oil field being gradually entering high water cut stage, this method had a great significance to evaluate the development effect and guide the potential of the reservoir.展开更多

Four dimensionless independent variables and dimensionless time were derived from 10 influencing factors of the problem by using dimensional analysis. Simulations of horizontal well in reservoir with bottom water were run to find the prediction correlation. A general and concise functional relationship for predicting breakthrough time was established based on simulation results and theoretical analysis. The breakthrough time of one conceptual model predicted by the correlation is very close to the result by Eclipse with less than 2% error. The practical breakthrough time of one well in Helder oilfield is 10 d, and the predicted results by the method is 11.2 d, which is more accurate than the analytical result. Case study indicates that the method could predict breakthrough time of horizontal well under different reservoir conditions accurately. For its university and ease of use, the method is suitable for quick prediction of breakthrough time.展开更多

At last, based on a pore groundwater reservoir in the middle reaches of the Yinma River, Jilin Province, the paper calculated regulated water with the formula and the result shows that the method is feasible. With some constraint conditions, the formula can be adopted in other similar areas.
文摘X oilfield has successfully adopted horizontal wells to develop strong bottom water reservoirs, as a typical representative of development styles in the Bohai offshore oilfield. As oil field being gradually entering high water cut stage, this method had a great significance to evaluate the development effect and guide the potential of the reservoir.

文摘Dimensional analysis and numerical simulations were carried out to research prediction method of breakthrough time of horizontal wells in bottom water reservoir. For its university and ease of use, the method is suitable for quick prediction of breakthrough time.

文摘Actinobacterial community is a conspicuous part of aquatic ecosystems and displays an important role in the case of biogeochemical cycle, but little is known about the seasonal variation of actinobacterial community in reservoir ecological environment. In this study, the high-throughput techniques were used to investigate the structure of the aquatic actinobacterial community and its inducing water quality parameters in different seasons. The results showed that the highest diversity and abundance of actinobacterial community occurred in winter, with Sporichthya(45.42%)being the most abundant genus and Rhodococcus sp.(29.32%)being the most abundant species.Network analysis and correlation analysis suggested that in autumn the dynamics of actinobacterial community were infuenced by more factors and Nocardioides sp.SX2R5S2 was the potential keystone species which was negatively correlated with temperature(R=-0.72,P<0.05).Changes in environmental factors could significantly affect the changes in actinobacterial community, and the dynamics of temperature, dissolved oxygen(DO),and turbidity are potential conspicuous factors infuencing seasonal actinobacterial community trends. The partial least squares path modeling further elucidated that the combined effects of DO and temperature not only in the diversity of actinobacterial community but also in other water qualities, while the physiochemical parameters(path coefficient=1.571,P<0.05)was strong environmental factors in natural mixture period. These results strengthen our understanding of the dynamics and structures of actinobacterial community in the drinking water reservoirs and provide scientific guidance for further water quality management and protection in water sources.

文摘The nirS-type denitrifying bacterial community is the main drivers of the nitrogen loss process in drinking water reservoir ecosystems. The temporal patterns in nirS gene abundance and nirS-type denitrifying bacterial community harbored in aerobic water layers of drinking water reservoirs have not been studied well.In this study, quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)and Illumina Miseq sequencing were employed to explore the nirS gene abundance and denitrifying bacterial community structure in two drinking water reservoirs. The overall results showed that the water quality parameters in two reservoirs had obvious differences. The qPCR results suggested that nirS gene abundance ranged from(2.61±0.12)×10^(5) to(3.68±0.16)×10^(5) copies/mL and(3.01±0.12)×10^(5) to(5.36±0.31)×10^(5) copies/mL in Jinpen and Lijiahe reservoirs, respectively. The sequencing results revealed that Paracoccus sp.,Azoarcus sp.,Dechloromonas sp.and Thauera sp.were the dominant genera observed. At species level,Cupriavidus necator,Dechloromonas sp.R-28400,Paracoccus denitrificans and Pseudomonas stutzeri accounted for more proportions in two reservoirs.More importantly, the co-occurrence network analysis demonstrated that Paracoccus sp.R-24615 and Staphylococcus sp.N23 were the keystone species observed in Jinpen and Lijiahe reservoirs, respectively.Redundancy analysis indicated that water quality(particularly turbidity, water temperature,pH and Chlorophyll a)and sampling time had significant influence on the nirS-type denitrifying bacterial community in both reservoirs. These results will shed new lights on exploring the dynamics of nirS-type denitrifying bacteria in aerobic water layers of drinking water reservoirs.

文摘Reservoirs have been served as the major source of drinking water for dozens of years. The water quality safety of large andmedium reservoirs increasingly becomes the focus of public concern.Field test has proved that water-lifting and aeration system(WLAS)is a piece of effective equipment for in situ control and improvement of water quality. However, its intrinsic bioremediation mechanism, especially for nitrogen removal, still lacks in-depth investigation.Hence, the dynamic changes inwater quality parameters, carbon source metabolism, species compositions and co-occurrence patterns ofmicrobial communitieswere systematically studied in Jinpen Reservoir within a wholeWLAS running cycle.TheWLAS operation could efficiently reduce organic carbon(19.77%),nitrogen(21.55%)and phosphorus(65.60%),respectively.Biolog analysis revealed that the microbialmetabolic capacitieswere enhanced viaWLAS operation, especially in bottomwater.High-throughput sequencing demonstrated that WLAS operation altered the diversity and distributions of microbial communities in the source water. The most dominant genus accountable for aerobic denitrification was identified as Dechloromonas.Furthermore, network analysis revealed that microorganisms interacted more closely through WLAS operation.Oxidation-reduction potential(ORP)and total nitrogen(TN)were regarded as the two main physicochemical parameters influencing microbial community structures,as confirmed by redundancy analysis(RDA)and Mantel test.Overall, the results will provide a scientific basis and an effective way for strengthening the in-situ bioremediation of micro-polluted source water.

文摘With the construction of the Xiluodu hydropower station on the Jinsha River, the reservoir impoundment began in 2013 and the water level fluctuates annually between 540 m and 600 m above sea level. The Yanjiao rock slope which is located on the left bank of the Jinsha River 75 km upstream of the Xiluodu dam site, began to deform in 2014.The potential failure of the slope not only threatens Yanjiao town but also affects the safe operation of the Xiluodu reservoir. This paper is to find the factors influencing the Yanjiao slope deformation through field investigation, geotechnical reconnaissance, and monitoring. Results show that the Yanjiao slope can be divided into a bank collapse area(BCA)and a strong deformation area(SDA)based on the crack distribution characteristics of the slope. The rear area of the slope has been experiencing persistent deformation with a maximum cumulative displacement(GPS monitoring point G4)of 505 mm and 399 mm in the horizontal and vertical directions, respectively. The potential failure surface of the slope is formed 36 m below the surface based on the borehole inclinometer. The bank collapses of the Yanjiao slope are directly caused by the reservoir impoundment while the deformation area of the slope is affected by the combination of the rainfall and reservoir water level fluctuation.Based on mechanism of the Yanjiao slope, prestressed anchor combined with the surface drainage and slope unloading are recommended to prevent potential deformation.

文摘The Ordos Basin is the largest continental multi-energy mineral basin in China, which is rich in coal, oil and gas,and uranium resources. The exploitation of mineral resources is closely related to reservoir water. The chemical properties of reservoir water are very important for reservoir evaluation and are significant indicators of the sealing of reservoir oil and gas resources. Therefore, the caprock of the Chang 6 reservoir in the Yanchang Formation was evaluated. The authors tested and analyzed the chemical characteristics of water samples selected from 30 wells in the Chang 6 reservoir of Ansai Oilfield in the Ordos Basin. The results show that the Chang 6 reservoir water in Ansai Oilfield is dominated by calcium-chloride water type with a sodium chloride coefficient of generally less than 0.5.The chloride magnesium coefficients are between 33.7 and 925.5,most of which are greater than 200.The desulfurization coefficients range from 0.21 to 13.4,with an average of 2.227.The carbonate balance coefficients are mainly concentrated below 0.01,with an average of 0.008.The calcium and magnesium coefficients are between 0.08 and 0.003,with an average of 0.01.Combined with the characteristics of the four-corner layout of the reservoir water, the above results show that the graphics are basically consistent. The study indicates that the Chang 6 reservoir in Ansai Oilfield in the Ordos Basin is a favorable block for oil and gas storage with good sealing properties, great preservation conditions of oil and gas,and high pore connectivity.
文摘The geological conditions of shallow offshore delta oil reservoirs are complex. Under the condition of less well data and larger well spacing, the traditional reservoir configuration method is difficult to solve the detailed study of such reservoirs in offshore oil fields. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the seismic phase, data of well log. The paper identifies criteria of the quaternary configuration boundary in shallow water delta of different types with distributary sand dam is established. At the same time, this paper used sensitive factor to construct the edge detection operator based on the amplitude attribute, characterizing the boundary of sand body thickness mutation or physical property mutation quantitatively, realizing the quantitative characterization of four-stage configuration boundary in the region with no wells or few wells, guiding the efficient development of offshore shallow water delta oilfield, and realizing the increase of storage and production of Bohai oilfield.
文摘The geological conditions of offshore shallow water delta oil reservoirs were complex, with limited well data and large well spacing. Taking A Oilfield in the Bohai Sea Area, China as an example, the target sand body was formed in a shallow water delta sedimentary environment, with well-developed underwater distributary channels and frequent branching and diversion. The reservoir was strong non-uniformity and uneven plane water cut pressure. To this end, based on the existing work of predecessors, combined with seismic, logging, and production dynamics data, and based on the genesis mechanism of shallow water delta reservoirs, the boundary of composite river channels was identified through seismic facies, and logging facies were used to subdivide them into single river levels within the composite river channels. Then, seismic waveform characteristics were applied to track and characterize the plane distribution of single river channels, guiding the efficient development of offshore shallow water delta oil fields and achieving increased storage and production in Bohai Oilfield, China.

文摘The similarity criterion for water flooding reservoir flows is concerned with in the present paper. When finding out all the dimensionless variables governing this kind of flow, their physical meanings are subsequently elucidated. Then, a numerical approach of sensitivity analysis is adopted to quantify their corresponding dominance degree among the similarity parameters. In this way, we may finally identify major scaling law in different parameter range and demonstrate the respective effects of viscosity, permeability and injection rate.

文摘It is known that there is a discrepancy between field data and the results predicted from the previous equations derived by simplifying three-dimensional(3-D) flow into two-dimensions(2-D).This paper presents a new steady-state productivity equation for horizontal wells in bottom water drive gas reservoirs.Firstly, the fundamental solution to the 3-D steady-state Laplace equation is derived with the philosophy of source and the Green function for a horizontal well located at the center of the laterally infinite gas reservoir. Then, using the fundamental solution and the Simpson integral formula, the average pseudo-pressure equation and the steady-state productivity equation are achieved for the horizontal section. Two case-studies are given in the paper, the results calculated from the newly-derived formula are very close to the numerical simulation performed with the Canadian software CMG and the real production data, indicating that the new formula can be used to predict the steady-state productivity of such horizontal gas wells.
