Titanium oxide (TiO2) can act as a strongly adsorbing surface or a catalytic material. In the present study, a comparative molecular dynamics analysis performed to clarify the adsorbing and diffusion properties of liquid formamide on a TiO2 surface in the presence of water molecules. The structural features of the formamide concentration effect (the accumulation of molecules) on a TiO2 surface in the presence and absence of water solvent are cleared up. Modification of the formamide diffusion abilities mediated by a water solvent is observed to correlate with the formamide-water concentration distribution on the surface.展开更多

After studying the debinding of a green part with a thickness of 4.26 mm, it was found that, the debinding rate of polyethylene glycol(PEG) in water and alcohol was high initially, and then decreased; however, it would increase with temperature increasing. At room temperature, the dissolution rate of PEG in water was higher than that in alcohol, but the latter would be much faster with temperature increasing because the debinding activation energy in alcohol was 51.44 kJ·mol -1 ·K -1 , much higher than 24.23 kJ·mol -1 ·K -1 in water. With a green part thickness larger than 4.26 mm, the debinding was controlled by diffusion; but with that smaller than 2.36 mm, the debinding was controlled by both dissolution and diffusion.展开更多

In the dynamic process of mass transfer, they are always neglected, but they are very important in the investigation of thermodynamic equilibrium. In this paper, the effect of water droplet in solvent sublation was discussed in detail, and the previous mathematical model of solvent subaltion was improved. Matlab 6.5 was used to simulate the process of water droplets, and the comparison between the previous hypothesis and the improvement in this paper showed the superiority, especially in the investigation of thermodynamic equilibrium. Moreover, the separation and concentration of the complex compound dithizone-Co(Ⅱ) from aqueous phase to n-octanol by solvent sublation also proved the improved mathematical model was reasonable.展开更多

Different from the regular aqueous radioactive wastes, these liquids possess a higher hazard potential and cannot be disposed through the conventional methods due to their radioactivity and chemical nature. Spent extraction solvent is a kind of common liquid organic radioactive wastes. In this work, tri-butyl phosphate(TBP), which is more difficult to degrade in the spent extraction solvent, was used as the model compound. Influences of reaction conditions on total organic carbon(TOC) removal and the volume percentage of each gas component under supercritical water oxidation(SCWO) were studied. The SCWO behaviors of spent extraction solvent simulants were studied under the optimal conditions derived from the TBP experiment. The SCWO experiments were studied at 400–550℃, oxidant stoichiometric ratio of 0–200%, feed concentration of 1.5%–4% and pressure of25 MPa for 15–75 s. The results show that the TOC removal of the simulants was greater than 99.7% and CH4,H2 and CO were not detected at 550℃, 25 MPa, oxidant stoichiometric ratio of 150%, feed concentration of3%, and residence time of 30 s.展开更多

The Al2O3-ZrO2 powders (1:1 molar ratio) were prepared using aluminum tri-sec-butoxide and zirconium n-propoxide as precursors. Ethanol (EtOH), isopropanol (iPrOH) and isobutanol (iBuOH) were used as solvents. The Al2O3-ZrO2 powders were characterized by nitrogen physisorption (SBET), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Prepared oxides calcined at 700℃ showed high specific surface area (200 - 240 m2/g). Obtained results suggest that the homogeneity of the mixed oxides is favored by using a water addition rate of 0.06 and 0.10 mL/min with ethanol as solvent.展开更多
