With the proposal of the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,ecological issues have become increasingly important issues of concern to people.The process of urbanization is accelerating,...With the proposal of the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,ecological issues have become increasingly important issues of concern to people.The process of urbanization is accelerating,and the importance of urban waterfront space in improving the environmental quality of the city and people’s quality of life,enhancing the vitality of the city,the overall appearance of the city,and the competitiveness of the city,is receiving increasing attention.And how to properly handle the construction and development of urban waterfront space has become increasingly prominent in urban planning.Under the the concept of“ecological conservation”,it is thought that the construction of urban waterfront space should follow the principle of harmony between nature and man,and strengthen the multifaceted connection of the city.Through field research on Swan Lake,a comprehensive evaluation of the problems in the plank road and land ecology is conducted.It is proposed to improve the current situation of Swan Lake by grasping the two keywords of“waterfront”and“city”,and starting from the improvement of water body and the enhancement of urban cultural construction in the lake area.展开更多

From the perspective of users, the behavior characteristics and use demand of surrounding users for waterfront space of Donghaochong River in Guangzhou City and the evaluation of usage situation before and after reconstruction of Donghaochong River are summarized to provide relevant optimization suggestions for the creation of satisfactory waterfront landscape environment for users.展开更多
Waterfront space is an important part of waterfront cities, and it carries the functions of ecological protection, tourism and urban landscape. As a city built on an island, Macao has abundant waterfront space. Howeve...Waterfront space is an important part of waterfront cities, and it carries the functions of ecological protection, tourism and urban landscape. As a city built on an island, Macao has abundant waterfront space. However, due to the geographical location, cultural and historical reasons, the waterfront space of Macao has a development gap in the use of urban waterfront space. The internal reasons for the differences in the waterfront space construction in which regions of the island are more perfect are the issues to be studied in this article. It is hoped that through the study of the current situation of Macao’s local waterfront space infrastructure construction, the main points that affect advanced cases will be sorted out. From the location, industry, and infrastructure, find out its enlightenment to other waterfront spaces in Macao that are relatively backward in construction.展开更多
With a history spanning thousands of years,the water system of Suzhou is an indispensable carrier of urban space and civil culture.Quantificational model analysis of the waterfront in the ancient city of Suzhou has si...With a history spanning thousands of years,the water system of Suzhou is an indispensable carrier of urban space and civil culture.Quantificational model analysis of the waterfront in the ancient city of Suzhou has significant implications for the future design of waterfront space and the establishment of an evaluation method to determine the vitality of such space.In this study,a vitality evaluation model was first constructed using river attributes,the spatial type of waterfront areas,vision accessibility,transportation accessibility,and combined new data extracted using spatial factor analysis.Second,a vitality evaluation matrix was established using the analytic hierarchy process to simulate the vitality of waterfront spaces.Third,a hash algorithm was employed to determine the fitting degree between the vitality model of Suzhou’s waterfront space and crowd activity.The different areas between them were found and then the factor evaluation process was adjusted on this basis of analyzing the causes.Thus,this study identified the factors influencing the vitality of Suzhou’s waterfront.Furthermore,this research constructed a model for evaluating the vitality of waterfront spaces.Finally,some guidelines were presented regarding the design and implementation of waterfront spaces in urban design.展开更多
