A pilot scale anoxic/oxic membrane bioreactor(A/O MBR) for woolen mill dyeing wastewater treatment

A pilot scale(10 m 3/d) anoxic/oxic membrane bioreactor(A/O MBR) was tested for dyeing wastewater treatment of woolen mill without wasting sludge in 125 days operation. Results showed that the effluent quality was excellent, i.e. effluent COD less than 25 mg/L, BOD 5 under 5 mg/L, turbidity lower than 0 65 NTU, and colour less than 30 DT, and met with the reuse water standard of China. The removal rates of COD, BOD 5, colour, and turbidity were 92 4%, 98 4%, 74% and 98 9%, respectively. Constant flux operation mode was carried out in this study, and backwash was effective for reducing membrane fouling and maintaining constant flux. Membrane fouling had heavy impact on energy consumption. More attention should be paid on pipe selection and design for the sidestream MBR system, too.

Microwave Irradiation Graft Copolymerization of Butylmethacrylate (BMA) onto Wool Fabrics

Butylmethacrylate(BMA) was grafted onto woolen fabrics by microwave Irradiation In the presence of catalyst ((NH4) 4S2O8) .Various parameters of graft- copolyme-rlzation reaction, namely time of reaction, microwave intensity, catalyst and monomer concentration, were optimized . The graft - copolymerization was also compared with conventional heating graft- copolymerization at the same condition, it showed microwave irradiation could Improve the reactivity of the monomer. The moisture regain decreased as graft add - on increased, the strength of the grafted fabric decreased as graft add - on increased , but the strain increased hi some degree. The infrared spectrum showed an additional peak at 1700 cm-1, confirming ester carbonyl groups of the monomer.

Empirical Analysis of Binary Logistic Model for the Influencing Factors of the Chinese Urban and Rural Residents' Woolen Products Consumption—Based on Questionnaires of 513 Urban and Rural Residents in 16 Provinces

Consumption of woolen products is the last link of wool industry chain,and it concerns whether the value of woolen products can be realized smoothly. Based on 513 questionnaires, it uses descriptive statistical analysis and binary logistic model to analyze the consumption and influencing factors of woolen products. The results indicated that residents in the middle region were more inclined to purchase woolen sweater compared to the residents in the east region. Urban residents were more inclined to purchase woolen sweater compared to the rural residents. Personal income,satisfaction degree of quality, and style have significant positive impact on whether residents purchase woolen sweater, and purchasing quantity of cotton sweater has significant negative impact on whether residents purchase woolen sweater.

Woolen Textile Simulation by Synthesis Mapping

This paper proposes a new rapid and efficient method for woolen textile simulation- mapping synthesize. This method uses a stochastic function to simulate fuzz on some types of wool textile. The wool yarns are simulated on the basis of Phong illumination model. In order to obtain a visual effect of the wool textile with fuzz, the light intensity of fuzz is synthesized as a color parameter in the Phong illumination model after the yams have been simulated. The model of woolen textile with fuzz can be built eventually.With synthesis mapping methods, user can choose his favorite fuzz density on the wool by controlling some appropriate parameters.
