Introduction: Work accidents (WA) have consequences for both the individual and the company. The objective of this study is to study the profile of work accidents declared to the Parakou agency of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) from 2015 to 2021. Method: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study with retrospective data collection. It concerned workers affiliated with the CNSS in Parakou, victims of declared WA whose file was available and exploitable. The sampling was exhaustive. Data was collected from registers and worker records. The variables studied were socio-demographic and related to the accident. They were analyzed using R version 4.1 software. Results: The annual incidence rate of WA varied from 5.8% in 2015 to 1.7% in 2021. The victims were 90.6% male. There were more subjects aged 28 to 37 years (37.1%). Workers and laborers were the most concerned. Fractures (22.9%) were the major lesions. At 38.5% they sat in the thoracic limbs and at 22.5% in the pelvic limbs. The majority (63.6%) of these accidents occurred in the workplace. The processing industry sector was mainly (52.1%) the place of accidents. Conclusion: The prevalence of WA declared to the agency of the National Social Security Fund of Parakou from 2015 to 2021 is decreasing. The most affected were young people. It is important to assess their socio-economic impacts. 展开更多

Accidents at Work from Exposure to Biological Material Contamination of Viral Hepatitis“B”and“C”in a Brazilian Capital

Background: Occupational exposure to biological materials is a serious risk to the health of workers in their workplaces, due to the possibility of transmitting pathogens such as Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The aim of this study was to analyze the accidents of exposure to biological material which resulted in contamination of Hepatitis B and C in the municipal health Belo Horizonte. Methods: Epidemiological study with cross-sectional design performed by querying the data on accidents at work involving exposure to biological materials and notification data of Viral Hepatitis in the Information System for Notifiable Diseases (SINAN) for the period of 2007 to June 2011, filed with the municipal government of Belo Horizonte. A descriptive analysis was performed using frequency distribution and percentages. Results: The 45 research records were arranged in professional categories, with 57.77% of incidents being ignored, followed by 24.44% nursing technicians, 6.66% nursing assistants, and 2.22% marketers, housekeeping, administrators, janitors, and builders. The average age was 39 years and 64.44% of the professionals were female. At the notification of the accident, 75.55% of professionals were not registered at CAT, and 92.85% of exposures occurred in the hospital;64.29% in contact with blood;35.71% of the causative agent was without needle lumen, 28.57% during administration of intravenous medication, and 57.14% from percutaneous exposure. In the distribution of occupation, 57.78% were contaminated with viral Hepatitis B and C. With vaccination regimens for Hepatitis B, 66.67% of the cases went to nursing assistants and 42.22% were “ignored”. Conclusion: These data confirm the need for reorientation of working practices during daily activities of health workers and guidance for notification of occupational accidents involving biological material and viral Hepatitis B and C in order to improve the quality of the records. 展开更多

目的探讨福建省劳动力人口意外死亡的态势。方法选择标化死亡率和标化 PYLL 率指标对 1990~1994年福建省疾病监测点劳动力人口意外死亡资料进行分析。结果 1990~ 1994年福建省监测点劳动力人口标化意外死亡率为39.9/10万~68.8/10万... 目的探讨福建省劳动力人口意外死亡的态势。方法选择标化死亡率和标化 PYLL 率指标对 1990~1994年福建省疾病监测点劳动力人口意外死亡资料进行分析。结果 1990~ 1994年福建省监测点劳动力人口标化意外死亡率为39.9/10万~68.8/10万,标化 PYLL 率为 11.5‰~29.6‰;意外死亡的“早死”现象较其他死因突出;平均标化 PYLL 率死因排位:自杀居首位(占27.8%)。淹死第二(占19.9%),交通事故第三(占14.5%);农村各类劳动力 PYLL 率均明显高于城市,潜在劳力的淹死、农村青年女性的自杀、男性的交通事故等因素已成为目前意外死亡的主要死因。结论意外死亡是福建省劳动力人口的主要死因,并以自杀、淹死、交通事故为主要危害死因,研究这些死因的主要危险因素,并实施有效的干预措施已是目前公共卫生领域重要课题。 展开更多

Construction industry is a generally risky business; it remains one of the most dirty, difficult and dangerous with poor working conditions. Despite recent efforts to improve site safety, it still accounts for a disproportionate number of occupational-related fatalities what is supported by statistics. According to the International Labour Organization, it accounts for 30-40% of the world's fatal injuries. In The European Union around thirteen employees out of every one hundred thousands are killed each year. Hence, construction site safety is a matter of global concern. However it is not easy to describe and define how to deport safely at some actual site because the workers are exposed to many safety risks varying in con^nection with conditions of the construction realization and with technologies using. The paper provides a brief knowledge from the study comparing the construction safety in Europe and North America referencing to presented statistics. There are also analyzed, described and systemized the principal groups of construction safety risks; described the interdependencies among safety risks, affecting by spatial, technological and time parameters of the building process, as well as by the site conditions. 展开更多

Moreover, labor costs, forestry mechanization, and environmental impacts are also different. These factors directly or indirectly influence the ergonomic state of nations. The ergonomic state of a nation can be described in terms of ergonomic factors such as labor productivity, work accidents, physiological burden, and stress. Labor productivity and work accidents can be defined as income or condition factors, and physiological burden and stress as outcome or result factors. Thus, the value of outcome factors must be examined in relationship to income factors. On the ergonomic spectrum, each factor can be conceived as a continuum from a negative to a positive ergonomic status. All factors can be set in a line, and the present state of each nation is indicated by a profile formed by the assembled factors. The locations of nations along the two-dimensional coordinates of the world standard can be realized by an ergonomic spectrum. Moreover, future directions for improvement can be obtained by reference to the three-dimensional coordinates, which include the axis of time. 展开更多
