This study mainly discusses the relationship between middle school teachers’mental health and work stress in Guangzhou. This study uses questionnaire survey method to examine 237 teachers in Guangzhou, and adopts SPSS26.0 to conduct independent sample t-test,ANOVA,correlation analysis, and regression analysis to draw the conclusion. The results show that:(1)The work pressure of middle school teachers in Guangzhou is above the medium level, and their mental health is at the middle level.(2)Under the influence of different gender, position, age, teaching years, and teaching objects, the pressure of middle school teachers is different.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between teachers’work stress and the dimensions of self-confidence loss and social dysfunction of mental health.(4)Work stress can effectively predict the level of mental health. Therefore,we need to understand the pressure sources of middle school teachers to develop measures to alleviate the pressure of teachers and improve the mental health of middle school teachers. 展开更多

The partial differential equation for isotropic hyperelastic constitutive models has been postulated and derived from the balance between stored energy and stress work done. The partial differential equation as a function of three invariants has then been solved by Lie group methods. With geometric meanings of deformations, the general solution boils down to a particular three-term solution. The particular solution has been applied for several isotropic hyperelastic materials. For incompressible materials, vulcanized rubber containing 8% sulfur and Entec Enflex S4035A thermoplastic elastomer, three coefficients have been determined from uniaxial tension data and applied to predict the pure shear and equibiaxial tension modes. For a slightly compressible rubber material, the coefficients have also been extracted from the confined volumetric test data. 展开更多

The Big Five Theory is considered as the most prominent personality theoretical approach in psychology. This paper aims to discuss the contribution of the Big Five Theory in the modern workplace.Which personality traits are more predictive for job performance?Which traits should organizations take more in consideration during recruitment and selection processes? What is the meaning of motivation in the workplace and how employers could locate individuals who can be more productive, efficient, and engaged to the organization’s goals according to the Big Five personality model? The above questions are answered through the systematic review of previous contemporary studies. After the collection and review of several recent publications, regarding this subject,it was concluded that the application of this model positively affects employees’and group performance, working relationships, managers’work performance as well as innovation in workplace. 展开更多

Over recent years, the reform-driven development of education has been one primary idea of the Chinese government under the leadership of Xi Jinping.Above all,the reform of the personnel system, closely related to the interests of teachers, becomes the most sensitive link in the educational reform. To root out the restriction of education system on teachers and enhance their enthusiasm for work,Jia County carried out a reform of teacher personnel system from 2013 to 2016,including breaking the hierarchical restriction on teachers’administrative promotion, decentralizing the power of confirming the teachers’professional titles, eliminating the teachers with the worst performances, practicing performance salary, and other measures. In this study,we tracked 627 teachers regarding their work enthusiasm and stress during the three-year reform, analyzed the data through the Hierarchical Linear Model(HLM),and found that:(1)The teachers’enthusiasm for work increased over time, but did not significantly change with the consideration of the influence of the principals’leadership in teaching. The personnel system reform aiming at motivating teachers failed to work as expected.(2)The teachers’work stress still increased year by year. Therefore, this study concludes that the reform in Jia County failed to fulfill its goals and that the vigorous top-down reform did not lead to ideal results.A reason might be that the reform damaged the vested interests of teachers who represent the deep-rooted nepotism typically in the Chinese education community.Reforms of educational personnel system should give schools a full play regarding educational governance in the future. 展开更多

Background: Concern about protecting patient privacy is proposed to be a barrier for physic- cians to talk about emotional distress from their professional experiences. This makes it difficult for many physicians to utilize and fully benefit from different network of social support. The subjective burden of confidentiality is reported to be associated with physician’s health and wellbeing. Aims: To gain knowledge about fac- tors in the in personal and professional sphere that can be associated with the subjective bur- den of confidentiality. Methods: Qualitative semi- structured interviews with 14 general practi- tioners and hospital physicians in Norway. Ex- amination of transcribed verbatim interviews using qualitative content analysis. Results: The subjective burden of confidentiality is likely linked with factors such as perception of pro- fessional role, social support from colleagues, partners and friends;size of patient population, organizational factors and work environment, and the overlap between personal and profess- sional relationships. Conclusions: Addressing the interaction of emotional demands and pa- tient confidentiality is important to study suc- cessful coping with distress from physician’s professional experiences. 展开更多

The rapid development of the delivery industry brings convenience to modern society. However, the high rates of crashes and the survival of electric bicycle(e-bike)riders in the delivery industry raise concerns. The primary objective of this study is to explore the factors affecting delivery e-bike riders’stressful work pressure and crash involvement in China.Data were collected by a questionnaire survey administered in the city of Ningbo,China.A bivariate ordered probit(BOP)model was developed to simultaneously examine the factors associated with both the working conditions of delivery e-bike riders and their involvement in crashes. The marginal effects for the contributory factors were calculated to quantify their impacts on the outcomes. The results showed that the BOP model can account for commonly unobserved characteristics of the working conditions and crash involvement of delivery e-bike riders. The BOP model results showed that the stressful working conditions of delivery e-bike riders were affected by the number of orders and delivery time and rider age and risky riding behaviors.Delivery rider involvement in crashes was affected by the number of orders, strength of the punishment for traffic violations, and familiarity with traffic regulations. It was also found that stressful working conditions and crash involvement were strongly and positively correlated. The findings of this study can enhance our understanding of the factors that affect the working conditions and delivery rider crash involvement.Based on the results, some suggestions regarding public policy, risky riding behaviors, safety promotion, and stronger corporate governance rules were discussed to increase the targeted safety-related interventions for delivery ebike riders in Ningbo,China. 展开更多

With reference to the Job Demands-Control Model,we empirically examine the effect of auditors' work stress on audit quality using a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies and their signature auditors from 2009 to 2013.The results show that(1) there is generally no pervasive deterioration in audit quality resulting from auditors' work stress;(2) there is a significant negative association between work stress and audit quality in the initial audits of new clients;and(3) the perception of work stress depends on auditors' individual characteristics.Auditors from international audit firms and those in the role of partner respond more strongly to work stress than industry experts.Auditors tend to react more intensively when dealing with state-owned companies. We suggest that audit firms attach more importance to auditors' work stress and rationalize their allocation of audit resources to ensure high audit quality. 展开更多
