The detailed analysis of the climatic and geomorphological features of the Liangshan Yi nationality area shows that the thermal mass effect is the first choice for the passive adjustment strategy of residential dwellings. This study focuses on the typical representatives of traditional dwellings in Meigu County, analyzing the wisdom of ecological construction to improve the thermal mass effects of res-idential buildings at the macro (village), moderate (courtyard), and micro (building unit) levels. Based on this analysis, the study summarizes the “genetic factor library” of the ecological construction mode of traditional Yi residential dwellings. Finally, the measured data of the residential thermal environment and the simulation data of Ecotect software are used to study and judge the logic behind its ecological construction wisdom. The results show that the tradi-tional dwellings of the Yi nationality in Liangshan have six aspects of local en-vironmental knowledge to improve the thermal mass effects performance of buildings. The winter thermal environment of the house is comfortable, and the heat is sufficient;Rammed earth materials in residential buildings have more potent, powerful, and robust thermal mass effects performance than stone slabs and wooden boards.展开更多

However, few studies focus on HIV-related heterosexual risk behaviours among the majority Yi population. The objectives of this study were to explore the characteristics of an egocentric sexual network and estimate the prevalence of casual sexual behaviour. Yi villagers (n= 108), aged 15-35 years, who reported having had sex within the previous year were interviewed as to their sexual behaviours and networks. In-depth interviews and focus group discussions provided supplementary information on sexual norms. Logistic regression analysis was used to calculate unadjusted odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Most of the respondents reported having had casual sex at some time in their life, and 66.7% reported multiple sexual partnerships. Only 21.3% reported ever having used a condom. During the study year, a total of 137 partners were involved in 153 sexual partnerships. Among the reported sexual partnerships, 67.3% originated from a casual sexual relationship. For network members in components of size ≥3, 56,9% were involved in concurrent sexual partnerships. Having never been married (OR: 2.11; 95% CI: 1.03-4.33) and younger age (OR: 0.89; 95% CI: 0.83-0.95) were both associated with being in a component of size ≥3. Size (OR: 2.99; 95% Ch 1.17-7.66), pair (OR: 0.54; 95% Ch 0.039-0.74), the number of weak components of the egocentric sexual network (OR- 30.04; 95% Ch 6.47-139.46) and gender (OR. 0. 19; 95% Ch. 0.06-0.67) were all associated with being in concurrent sexual partnerships. HIV-related interventions for the Yi ethnic minority in Sichuan province must therefore address concurrent sexual partnerships and promote condom use.展开更多

It is important to explore the reasons underlying the livelihood strategy choices of farmers from the perspective of social capital under China’s rural revitalization strategy. In this study, the Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, a povertystricken mountainous area in southwestern China, was selected as the case study area, and multivariable linear regression models were constructed to analyze the influence of social capital on livelihood strategies. The results are as follows:(1) Individual social capital had a positive effect on non-agricultural livelihood strategies. On average, with a one-unit increase in individual social capital, the ratio of farmers’ nonagricultural income to total productive income(Income_Rto) increased by 0.002% and 0.062%,respectively. Collective social capital, with the Peasant Economic Cooperation Organization(PECO) as the carrier, had a negative effect on the non-agricultural livelihood strategies of farmers;on average, with a oneunit increase in PECO, Income_Rto decreased by approximately 0.053%. However, this effect was only significant in the river valley area.(2) The income differences among the different livelihood strategy types were explained by the livelihood strategy choices of farmers. As non-agricultural work can bring more benefits, the labor force exhibited one-way migration from villages to cities, resulting in a lack of the subject of rural revitalization. It is necessary to implement effective measures to highlight the role of PECO in increasing agricultural income for farmers. Finally, based on the above conclusions, policy recommendations with respect to livelihood transformation of farmers and rural sustainable development are discussed.展开更多

Methods A cross-sectional study of 2 358 Yi farmers and 2 392 Yi migrants was carried out in the Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture, Sichuan, China in 2007. Results The standardized prevalence of overweight in female Yi farmers (6.22%) was higher than in males (3.25%), whereas in Yi migrants 32.56% of males and 28.78% of females were overweight. The standardized prevalence of obesity was 0 and 0.62% in male and female Yi farmers, compared to 3.91% and 5.57% in male and female Yi migrants, respectively. For both genders the standardized prevalence of ISH, IDH, and SDH was higher in Yi migrants than Yi farmers. Overweight and obese Yi men and women had a higher risk for IDH and SDH (P〈O.002) than non-overweight/obese individuals. However, an association of overweight or obesity with ISH was observed only in men. Conclusion Yi migrants have substantially higher proportion of overweight and obese individuals, as well as individuals affected by ISH, IDH, and SDH, than do Yi farmers. Overweight and obesity are significant risk factors for the development of hypertension in Yi people.展开更多

The effect of upgrading on the prepared coke quality was analyzed. The results show that the carboxyl and phenolic hydroxyls in the coal molecular structure are removed after upgrading by low temperature pyrolysis under either N2 or Hz atmospheres. This improves coal caking properties to a certain extent. The upgrading effect under a Hz atmosphere is remarkably better than the effect observed after upgrading under N2. Compared to coke obtained from raw coal, the compressiveand micro-strength of the cokes obtained from upgraded coal are greatly improved. The effect on coke reactivity with CO2 is not significant. The best upgrading temperature for Yi'an gas coal under either a N2 or H2 atmosphere is 250 or 275 ℃ respectively.展开更多

文摘Social capital in the form of social resources or social networks is one of the most important livelihood capital of farmers, which can increase the labor productivity of poor households and increase income. Finally, based on the above conclusions, policy recommendations with respect to livelihood transformation of farmers and rural sustainable development are discussed.

文摘Objective To examine the relationship between overweight or obesity and the risk of the various hypertension hemodynamic subtypes in Yi farmers and migrants. Overweight and obesity are significant risk factors for the development of hypertension in Yi people.

文摘Objective To assess the effects of Yi Qi Jie Du Formula(YQJDF)combined with salinomycin(SAL)on nasopharyngeal carcinoma stem cells(NPC-SCs)and investigate the underlying molecular mechanisms. Methods Cell counting methods, the CCK-8 assay, transwell migration assay and JC-1 staining, were used to observe the effects of the combination on the proliferation, migration and apoptosis of NPC stem cells, respectively.Western blot was used to detect the levels of protein in NPC-SCs.Results YQJDF combined with SAL had a synergistic effect on the inhibition of proliferation and migration and induction of NPCSC apoptosis.Mechanistically,YQJDF combined with SAL synergistically upregulated the levels of apoptotic proteins, including cleaved Caspase-3,cleaved Caspase-7 and cleaved Caspase-9.Moreover,YQJDF combined with SAL synergistically decreased the levels of CD44,p-c-Src,Ras,p-PKCδ,p-MEK,p-c-Raf,p-ERK1/2 and p-AKT proteins. Conclusions The combination of YQJDF and SAL has a synergistic effect on the inhibition of NPC-SC proliferation and migration and induction of apoptosis, which may be closely related to the downregulation of the CD44/Ras signaling pathway.
文摘The quality of Yi'an gas coal before and after low temperature upgrading under either a N2 or H2 atmosphere was examined by thermogravimetric and infrared analyses. The best upgrading temperature for Yi'an gas coal under either a N2 or H2 atmosphere is 250 or 275 ℃ respectively.
