Clinical Nursing Intervention of Moxibustion on Abdominal Distension Symptoms in Heart Failure (Heart and Kidney Yang Deficiency and Blood Stasis Blocking Collaterals Syndrome)

Objective:To investigate the clinical nursing intervention effect of moxibustion on abdominal distension symptoms in heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome).Methods:62 patients with heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome)admitted to our hospital from February 2023 to February 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group(n=31)and the control group(n=31)by using the random numerical table method.The control group adopted conventional nursing interventions,and the observation group received the nursing program of the control group with the addition of moxibustion nursing interventions.The nursing effectiveness,quality of life scores,and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:The nursing effectiveness of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);the quality of life score of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of moxibustion nursing intervention in patients with heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome)can effectively relieve the symptoms of abdominal distension,improve patients'quality of life,and increase nursing satisfaction,which has promotion and application values.

Observation on the Nursing Effect of Ginger Moxibustion on Gastrointestinal Symptoms in Patients with Heart Failure Due to Yang Qi Deficiency

Objective:To evaluate the nursing measures and effects of ginger moxibustion in the treatment of heart failure(yang qi deficiency type)with gastrointestinal symptoms.Methods:86 patients with heart failure(yang qi deficiency type)accompanied by gastrointestinal symptoms who were admitted to the hospital between January 2023 and January 2024 were selected and divided into 43 cases in each group by random number table grouping;Group I implemented integrated care,while Group II adopted conventional care.The indicators of care were compared between the two groups.Results:After the nursing care,the digestive symptom scores of Group I were lower than those of Group I,and the psychological scores were lower than those of Group II(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ginger moxibustion can improve gastrointestinal symptoms and enhance the psychological health of patients with heart failure(yang qi deficiency type)with gastrointestinal symptoms.

Transcriptomic and metabolomic analysis of the effects of Zhenwu decoction on kidney yang deficiency pattern in chronic kidney disease

Objective:To explore the kidney yang deficiency pattern(KYDP)in a chronic kidney disease(CKD)rat model and the mechanisms underlying the effects of Zhenwu decoction(ZWD)by conducting tran-scriptomic and metabolomic analyses.Methods:Adriamycin(ADR)combined with hydrocortisone(HC)was used to induce CKD with KYDP in rats.ADR was injected into the tail vein twice.HC was injected intramuscularly for 8 weeks.ZWD was administered by gavage for 8 weeks.The general condition was observed,24-h urine protein was detected,serum corticosterone,triiodothyronine,thyroxine,TSH,testosterone,cAMP,and cGMP levels were determined,and pathological analysis was conducted.Transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses were conducted to screen differentially expressed genes(DEGs),differentially expressed metabolites(DEMs),and differentially expressed pathways(DEPs).The core DEMs and DEGs were input to Metab-oanalyst 5.0 to identify the pathways affected by ZWD.Results:In the HC group,KYDP symptoms were observed.Compared with control group,the levels of 24-h urine protein,TSH,and cGMP significantly increased(all P<0.01),and corticosterone,triiodothyronine,thyroxine,and cAMP significantly decreased(all P<0.01)in the HC group.After ZWD intervention,the levels of above-mentioned indicators could be reversed to some extent.Pathological analysis in the HC group revealed kidney lesions.DEGs in the ZWD group were mainly associated with pathways such as nucleotide synthesis and endocrine pathways.In the ZWD group,differences in biosynthesis of unsat-urated fatty acids and butanoate metabolism were observed.The following pathways were significantly affected by ZWD:arachidonic acid metabolism,valine,leucine,and isoleucine biosynthesis,linoleic acid metabolism,and alpha-linolenic acid metabolism.Conclusion:ZWD can be used to treat KYDP in CKD through regulating arachidonic acid metabolism,valine,leucine,and isoleucine biosynthesis,linoleic acid metabolism,and alpha-linolenic acid metabolism.

Preventive and therapeutic effect of long snake moxibustion on psoriasis with yang deficiency and external cold syndrome based on the theory of "treatment of winter disease in summer"

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with multiple layers of silvery white scales on the surface of erythema papule as the main clinical characteristics,of which yang-deficiency external cold psoriasis is refractory,recurrent and severe in winter and mild in summer,which has a great impact on patients'physical and mental health and quality of life.Traditional Chinese medicine has unique insights in the treatment of psoriasis,both curative effect and safety,have obvious advantages.Based on the concept of"winter disease and summer treatment",long-snake moxibustion gives full play to its functions of warming the kidney,invigorating the marrow,warming the meridians,activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis,so as to restore the deficiency of Yang in patients with psoriasis with external cold syndrome,enhance disease resistance,and prevent psoriasis recurrence or aggravation in winter.Therefore,based on the theory of"winter disease and summer treatment",this paper preliminarily discusses the mechanism of long-snake moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of psoriasis with external cold syndrome of Yang deficiency,and provides new ideas and directions for the prevention and treatment of psoriasis with traditional Chinese medicine.

Clinical Research of Zhenwu Decoction Combined with Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction in the Treatment of Chronic Heart Failure with Edema Syndrome due to Yang Deficiency

[Objectives]The paper was to investigate the clinical effects of Zhenwu Decoction combined with Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction in the treatment of chronic heart failure with edema syndrome due to yang deficiency.[Methods]Eighty patients with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into 2 groups(control group and treatment group),with 40 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated with conventional western medicine for 14 d,and the patients in the treatment group were treated with Zhenwu Decoction and Tingli Dazhao Xiefeng Decoction on the basis of the control group for 14 d.The curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),plasma N-terminal brain natruretic peptide precursor(NT-proBNP)and New York Heart Association(NYHA)functional class were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Minnesota living with heart failure questionnaire in the principle of Chinese civilization and traditional medicine characteristics(C-MLHF)at admission and 1 month after discharge were compared between the two groups.[Results]After treatment,the total effective rate of TCM syndrome score in the treatment group was 82.50%,and that in the control group was 67.50%.The curative effect of TCM syndrome score in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment the LVEF in both groups was increased compared with that before treatment,and the NT-proBNP level was decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and those in the treatment group were better than those in the control group.The total effective rate of cardiac function in the treatment group was 87.50%,and that in the control group was 65.00%.The improvement of cardiac function in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).One month after discharge,C-MLHF scores in both groups were decreased compared with those before treatment,and that in the treatment group was lower than in the control group(P<0.05).[Conclusions]Zhenwu Decoction combined with Tingli Dazao Xiefei Decoction based on traditional western medicine treatment could improve the clinical efficacy,symptoms and quality of life of patients in the treatment of chronic heart failure with edema syndrome due to yang deficiency.

A Study on the Law of Birth and Formation of Yang-Deficiency Constitution Based on the Theory of Five Movement and Six Qi

Objective:To explore the law of birth and yang deficiency constitution based on the theory of five movements and six qi,as well as to provide a new way to better realize the prevention of yang deficiency constitution.Methods:The data of TCM quality table and luck data were collected via questionnaires.According to the data of from the TCM quality table,the respondents were divided into yang deficiency constitution group and non-yang deficiency group.According to the luck data,the distributions of gestational age were compared between the two groups.Results:A total of 175 questionnaires were collected,of which 89 were non-yang deficiency constitution and 86 were yang deficiency constitution.The proportion of Ding year(15.1%)in the yang deficiency group was significantly higher than that in non-yang deficiency group(5.6%),in which the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The possibility of yang deficiency constitution is higher.

Clinical Research into Ke Min Yin for Treatment of Persistent Allergic Rhinitis in Patients with Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis

Persistent allergic rhinitis (PAR) is one of the common diseases at ear-nose-throat department. From August 1998 to May 2001, we randomly selected 60 cases of PAR with qi deficiency and blood stasis for a clinical observation. 30 patients in the treatment group were treated with Ke Min Yin (克敏饮), a herbal medicine, to supplement qi, expel wind, nourish blood and promote blood circulation; and the other 30 cases in the control group were treated with cetrine. Moxibustion plus acupuncture improves the efficacy and quality of life of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome: A randomized controlled trial

Objective:To observe the effect of moxibustion combined with acupuncture on the efficacy and quality of life of spleen-kidney-yang-deficiency patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Materials and Methods:A total of 90 patients with PCOS of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type from January 2020 to March 2021 were selected and randomly divided into three groups,30 patients each in the moxibustion group,acupuncture group,and moxibustion combined with acupuncture group(combined group).The changes of body mass index(BMI),waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),fasting insulin(FINS),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),testosterone(T),triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC),traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)clinical symptom score,efficacy,and quality of life score in the three groups were observed before and 3 months after treatment.Results:After treatment,(1)compared with the moxibustion and acupuncture groups,the combined group was more effective in reducing BMI(F=5.274,P<0.05)and WHR(F=8.246,P<0.05)in PCOS patients;(2)FINS,FPG,and HOMA-IR were reduced in all three groups,and the reduction in these three indicators was more pronounced in combined group(FINS:F=5.637,P<0.05,FPG:F=4.915,P<0.05,HOMA-IR:F=3.817,P<0.05);(3)The FSH,LH,and T levels of patients in the combined group were better than those in the remaining two groups(FSH:F=4,163,P<0.05,LH:F=5.098,P<0.05,T:F=7.038,P<0.05);(4)The TG and TC of patients in the combined group were lower than those in the remaining two groups(TG:F=4.806,P<0.05,TC:F=3.828,P<0.05);(5)The TCM clinical symptom score of the combined group was significantly lower than those of the moxibustion and acupuncture groups(F=4.547,P<0.05);(6)The quality of life of patients in the combined group improved more significantly than the moxibustion and acupuncture groups(F=6.239,P<0.05);(7)The total effective rate of the combined group was higher than that of the moxibustion and acupuncture groups(χ2=6.947,P=0.031).Conclusion:The combination of moxibustion and acupuncture can effectively reduce the BMI and WHR of PCOS patients,improve the endocrine function,sex hormone level,TCM symptoms and quality of life of patients,and has significant efficacy and high safety,which is worthy of wide clinical application.

Clinical Observation in 31 Cases of Chronic Bronchitis at Remission Stage Treated with Bufei Keli

To observe the therapeutic effects of a Chinese drug Bufei Keli (补肺颗粒 granules for invigorating the lung) in the treatment of chronic bronchitis at remission stage, 62 cases were randomly divided into a treatment group (treated with Bufei Keli) and a control group (treated with Yupingfeng Keli 玉屏风颗粒). The results turned out to be that the short-term clinically controlled and markedly effective rate was 77.42% and the long-term relapse-resisting markedly effective rate was 74.2% in the treatment group, which were obviously higher than 45.16% and 38.71% respectively in the control group (P<0.05). And the increase in contents of SOD and CD_3 and the decrease in LPO content in the treatment group were also bigger than that in the control group (P<0.01). It is therefore concluded that Bufei Keli can improve qi deficiency syndrome and raise the immunity of patients with chronic bronchitis, hence its effect of resisting relapse of chronic bronchitis.

Effect of Shenqiyixin prescription on myocardial energy metabolism in patients with chronic heart failure

Objective:To observe the heart function、MEE and serum FFA of Shenqiyixin prescription for heart qi(yang)deficiency with blood stasis and fluid retention type of chronic heart failure patients,to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety.Methods:64 cases with chronic heart failure of heart qi(yang)deficiency with blood stasis and fluid retention were randomly divided into two groups,3 cases were excluded,31 cases in the control group and 30 cases in the treatment group.The control group was treated with western medicine,and the treatment group was treated with Shenqiyixin prescription additionally.The course of treatment was 3 weeks.Observe the changes of TCM syndrome score,6MWD,LVEF,cESS,MEE,serum NTproBNP,serum FFA and safety indexes of each group before and after treatment.Results:after treatment,the TCM Syndromes of each group were improved.The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,and the control group was 83.87%.The treatment group was more effective(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome score,cESS,MEE,NTproBNP and FFA of each group were decreased,6MWD and LVEF were increased(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Shenqiyixin prescription can improve the TCM syndrome and heart function in patients with chronic heart failure of heart qi(yang)deficiency with blood stasis and fluid retention,at the same time,it can reduce the level of MEE and serum FFA in patients with heart failure.
