A Comparative Study of YīJiàn Xiǎo Shìand A Small Incident Rendered by the Yangs

Lu Xun’s short stories play a prominent role in the history of modern Chinese literature,and a number of Sinologists have studied them and published their English translations.This paper selects“YīJiàn Xiǎo Shì”in Lu Xun’s collection“Call to Arms”as the object of study,taking hypotaxis and parataxis as the starting point,and compares the translation of Yang Hsien-yi and Gladys Yang with the original version,studying the differences between the them in the process of C-E translation.It is hoped that some flexible conversion strategies in English-Chinese translation can be learned from the translation research.

抗根肿病长柄芥育种材料的创制与鉴定

通过远缘杂交及回交将白菜的抗病基因导入到芥菜中,创制获得优质的抗根肿病长柄芥(Brassica juncea var.longepetiolata Yang et Chen)育种材料。采用人工接种鉴定和分子标记鉴定相结合法,对10份抗根肿病白菜材料进行抗性分析,筛选出1份可作为长柄芥抗根肿病育种材料创制的抗性资源CCR21002。利用CCR21002分别作为父本、母本提供抗根肿病基因,与长柄芥进行远缘杂交,结合胚挽救技术获得正反杂交种F1,选取植株形态偏向芥菜的F1与长柄芥回交获得BC_(1),对BC_(1)植株进行形态学、细胞学分析及抗病性鉴定。结果表明,回交一代比杂种一代更难获得,胚挽救成活的13株BC_(1)中,仅筛选出1株基因型为AABB且抗根肿病的植株,经分子标记鉴定所含抗病基因为CRb,在植株形态上保留有长柄芥的大部分性状。证明经过与抗根肿病白菜远缘杂交及回交,获得对4号生理小种表现抗性的长柄芥新种质1份,可用于继续回交转育。

Exploration of the Treatment of Hypothyroid Heart Disease by Dredging-Tonifying Method

Hypothyroid heart disease is a syndrome that has a deficiency origin and an excess superficiality. Deficiency in origin is typified by a deficiency of kidney yang primarily, and the fundamental objective of treatment should be "regulating and tonifying". An excess of superficiality is closely related to phlegm, dampness, blood stasis, etc. The most appropriate treatment is a combined method of dredging and tonifying, which should be the primary approach. It is crucial to adhere to the theoretical principles of both dredging and tonifying in the treatment plan. This approach allows for the treatment of both the underlying cause and the presenting symptoms, which can facilitate the harmonization of qi and blood.

The Idea of Treating Numbness of Lower Limbs after Stroke with Zhuang Medical Meridian Therapy by Regulating Shaoyang Meridian Tendons

Based on the understanding of lower limb numbness after stroke in Zhuang medicine, this study makes diagnosis and treatment of lower limb numbness after stroke from the clinical differentiation and treatment ideas of "numbness due to Shaoyang (lesser Yang)" through Zhuang Medicine Meridian Tendon Therapy. The triple therapy of meridian tendon Tuina+acupuncture+cupping originally created by Zhuang medicine and head bloodletting by Zhuang medicine were used to improve the numbness symptoms of patients. This provides a new thinking mode for acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of lower limb numbness after stroke.

Analysis of Constitutional Factors in Patients with Gallstone Disease

Objective: To summarize the common constitutional types in patients with gallstone disease and analyze influencing factors. Research Hypothesis: Qi stagnation constitution may be a potential predisposing constitution for gallstone disease, whereas the Balanced Constitution and Yin deficiency constitution have a lower tendency towards the development of the disease;gallstone disease is more prevalent among young men engaged in mental labor. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 180 patients with gallstone disease who were hospitalized in the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), from July 2017 to July 2023. Additionally, 180 healthy individuals undergoing physical examinations at the Health Examination Center of the same hospital were selected as the normal control group. Both groups underwent general condition surveys, TCM constitution scales, Eysenck Personality Questionnaires, Brief Coping Styles Questionnaires, and Social Support Rating Scales to determine risk factors and common types. Results: Independent variables such as gender, Qi stagnation constitution, Balanced Constitution, negative coping scores, positive coping scores, and stressful life events were included in the model. The OR values for Balanced Constitution, gender, positive coping style, and overall social support were all less than 1, and the maximum value of the 95% confidence interval was also less than 1. After selecting the intercept into the model and analyzing the standardized regression coefficients, it was found that negative coping scores had a significant impact on the model, while stressful life events showed extremely high relevance to the study. Compared with the normal group, the frequency of Qi stagnation constitution in the study group significantly increased, with a significant difference (P χ2 = 11.109, P = 0.0009, indicating a significant difference (P χ2 = 4.0890, P = 0.0432, indicating a significant difference (P 0.05). However, when comparing mental workers with physical workers within the patient group, the frequency of Qi stagnation constitution in mental workers was significantly higher, with χ2 = 6.8467, P = 0.012, indicating a significant difference (P Conclusion: Qi stagnation constitution is a potential predisposing constitution for gallstone disease, whereas the tendency to develop the disease is relatively low for Balanced Constitution and Yin deficiency constitution. Gallstone disease is more commonly found in young male mental workers.

Beyond Gender Perspectives:A More Comprehensive Examination of Yang Yi’s Translation of Wuthering Heights

The renowned translator Yang Yi passed away in 2023.Many scholars argue that,influenced by their biological gender,female translators often employ translation methods in adherence to feminist translation or reflect characteristics typical of female translators.This study examines the translation of Wuthering Heights by Yang Yi,focusing on whether there is a definite influence of gender on translator behavior.While existing literature primarily analyzes Yang Yi’s work through a feminist lens,this research takes a broader approach.By considering the translator’s social background and translation practice,this paper challenges the assumption that her work strictly aligns with feminist translation theories.Instead,this study emphasizes the importance of considering diverse factors when interpreting translated works,moving beyond a singular gender-based standpoint.

Facing stress and inflammation:From the cell to the planet

As identified in 1936 by Hans Selye,stress is shaping diseases through the induction of inflammation.But inflammation display some yin yang properties.On one hand inflammation is merging with the innate immune response aimed to fight infectious or sterile insults,on the other hand inflammation favors chronic physical or psychological disorders.Nature has equipped the cells,the organs,and the individuals with mediators and mechanisms that allow them to deal with stress,and even a good stress(eustress)has been associated with homeostasis.Likewise,societies and the planet are exposed to stressful settings,but wars and global warming suggest that the regulatory mechanisms are poorly efficient.In this review we list some inducers of the physiological stress,psychologic stress,societal stress,and planetary stress,and mention some of the great number of parameters which affect and modulate the response to stress and render it different from an individual to another,from the cellular level to the societal one.The cell,the organ,the individual,the society,and the planet share many stressors of which the consequences are extremely interconnected ending in the domino effect and the butterfly effect.

Clinical Observation of the Efficacy of a Customized Prescription from the Jing Ethnic Group in Treating Children with Yang Syndrome of Common Cold

Objective: This paper aims to observe the clinical efficacy of a customized prescription from the Jing ethnic group in treating children with Yang syndrome of common cold. Methods: A total of 160 patients diagnosed with Yang syndrome of common cold at the pediatric outpatient clinic of Fangchenggang City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from September 2023 to September 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each with 80 cases. The control group was orally administered Compound Paracetamol, Chlorphenamine Maleate, and Caffeine Oral Solution, while the treatment group received the customized prescription from the Jing ethnic group in addition to the treatment given to the control group. Both groups were treated for three days. During the treatment period, if the axillary temperature of the children in both groups reached or exceeded 39.0˚C, Dexibuprofen Oral Solution could be additionally administered. The time of antipyretic onset, the interval before axillary temperature rebounded within 24 hours after the first antipyretic effect, and the highest axillary temperatures on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd days were compared between the two groups, as well as their therapeutic effects. Results: Compared with the control group, the treatment group had an earlier onset of antipyretic effect (P Conclusion: The customized prescription from the Jing ethnic group for treating children with Yang syndrome of common cold has a rapid onset, a lasting antipyretic duration, and excellent efficacy without significant adverse reactions, making it worthy of clinical promotion.

The Research on the Battle of Yanmen Pass

During the war between Liao Dynasty(907-1125)and Northern Song Dynasty(960-1127),there was a classic battle that happened in Yanmen Pass(located in today’s Dai County,Xinzhou,Shanxi Province,China).It was a well known battle of ancient China because a commander of the Song army named Yang Ye(?-986)was really famous in both classical Chinese fictions and Chinese war history.He is the early protagonist of a famous Chinese classic fiction named The Romance of the Yang family’s generals(written in the 16th century,Ming Dynasty of China).The story of his family also appears in other novels.Besides,in history,he was a general who was active in the early stages of the war between Liao Dynasty and Northern Song Dynasty.The battle of Yanmen Pass(980)was one of the most important battles of Yang’s military career.His combat style especially his cavalry tactic can be summarized through researching this battle.

Observation on the Nursing Effect of Ginger Moxibustion on Gastrointestinal Symptoms in Patients with Heart Failure Due to Yang Qi Deficiency

Objective:To evaluate the nursing measures and effects of ginger moxibustion in the treatment of heart failure(yang qi deficiency type)with gastrointestinal symptoms.Methods:86 patients with heart failure(yang qi deficiency type)accompanied by gastrointestinal symptoms who were admitted to the hospital between January 2023 and January 2024 were selected and divided into 43 cases in each group by random number table grouping;Group I implemented integrated care,while Group II adopted conventional care.The indicators of care were compared between the two groups.Results:After the nursing care,the digestive symptom scores of Group I were lower than those of Group I,and the psychological scores were lower than those of Group II(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ginger moxibustion can improve gastrointestinal symptoms and enhance the psychological health of patients with heart failure(yang qi deficiency type)with gastrointestinal symptoms.

A study on the treatment of chloasma with moxibustion based on the theory of“Yang transforming Qi,and Yin shaping”

Background:“Yang Transforming Qi and Yin shaping”comes from“Plain Question Yin and Yang should be like the theory”.Chinese medicine believes that the imbalance of yin and yang is the cause of human diseases.One of the strengths of TCM in treating diseases is holistic regulation.The theory of“Yang transforming Qi,and Yin shaping”implies a strong holistic view.Chloasma,one of the common skin diseases,seriously affects the physical and mental health of patients due to its unclear etiology,difficult treatment and easy recurrence.The occurrence and development of chloasma are closely related to internal organs.This paper is based on the theory of internal meridian,“Yang transforming Qi,and Yin shaping”which attaches importance to the concept of“Yang Qi”,from a new understanding of the pathogenesis etiology of chloasma.Methods:The author believes that the incidence of the disease is the deficiency of Yang Qi,which can’t promote the movement of Qi and blood to nourish the face,resulting in tangible material condensation,so proposes that this disease needs to be promoted by Yang transforming Qi and warm to dissipate.Moxibustion belongs to the fire,and its warming effect can dissipate the tangible evil.Results:Combined with clinical practice and the theory of internal meridian,the author elaborated that moxibustion is one of the effective methods for treating chloasma,which provides a new way of thinking for the treatment of chloasma.Conclusion:“Yang Transforming Qi and Yin shaping”can be used to guide the treatment of chloasma.

Clinical Nursing Intervention of Moxibustion on Abdominal Distension Symptoms in Heart Failure (Heart and Kidney Yang Deficiency and Blood Stasis Blocking Collaterals Syndrome)

Objective:To investigate the clinical nursing intervention effect of moxibustion on abdominal distension symptoms in heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome).Methods:62 patients with heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome)admitted to our hospital from February 2023 to February 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group(n=31)and the control group(n=31)by using the random numerical table method.The control group adopted conventional nursing interventions,and the observation group received the nursing program of the control group with the addition of moxibustion nursing interventions.The nursing effectiveness,quality of life scores,and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:The nursing effectiveness of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);the quality of life score of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of moxibustion nursing intervention in patients with heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome)can effectively relieve the symptoms of abdominal distension,improve patients'quality of life,and increase nursing satisfaction,which has promotion and application values.

一类具有时变时滞的复值忆阻神经网络的全局一致渐近稳定性

利用Yang不等式以及构造Lyapuonv函数等技巧,给出了一类具有时变时滞的复值忆阻神经网络平衡点的全局一致渐近稳定性的新结果。最后,通过实例验证了所得结果的有效性和可行性。

几种实验用鱼的研究现状

综述了斑马鱼、青鳉．鲫、河鲀、红鲫以及剑尾鱼等6种小型鱼在血液学、遗传学、环境科学、发育生物学以及分子生物学等方面的研究现状,并对具有实验用鱼开发前景的野生白缘缺的生物学特征进行了评估。

白缘(鱼央)染色体核型分析

本文对长江上游水系的白缘鱼央染色体作了分析研究。采用肾脏细胞法和空气干燥法制片 ,Giem sa染色。结果表明 :白缘鱼央的染色体数在 2 2～ 2 6之间 ,并确定 2n =2 4的类型占 73 7% ,臂数NF =4 6 ,染色体单倍体总长度为 2 8 75 μm。由核型公式 2 0m +2sm +2st确定为雌性个体。尚未发现有多倍体现象 ,也未发现异型染色体和随体染色体。

Effects of BYHW Decoction and Its Effective Constituents on the Fluidity of the Cell Membrane in a Stroke-Modeled Rat Brain

With in vitro spin labeling electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy, we have studied the effects of Bu Yang Huan Wu (BYHW) decoction and its effective constituents such as astragaloside IV ferulic acid, chuanxiongzine, rutin, chlorogenic acid, 9,10 dimethoxy pterocarpane 7 O β D glucoside, calycosin, formononetin, calycosin 7 O glucoside, paeoniflorin, paeonal and quercein on the cell membrane fluidity of a rat brain which was modeled after the dual cervical arteries were intercepted and released for realizing an ischemia reperfusion injury which was selected as a brain stroke model. Our results indicated that the cell membrane fluidity in the model group decreased approximately 8% compared with the control group, and after brain cells were incubatied with species, the membrane fluidity could be recovered closely to the control level depending on the BYHW decoction and its different constituents. As the membrane fluidity is a very sensitive biological index which reflectsd the cell status, our method will be useful to study the molecular mechanism of tradition Chinese medicine (TCM) and its combination recipe.

一种吻蛭类大鱼蛭在大菱鲆鱼体上的感染

在山东省威海崮山育苗场发现大菱鲆成鱼及幼鱼鱼体感染寄生虫 ,受感染的鱼由于处于感染初期 ,并经过及时的处理 ,所占比例较低。病鱼症状为鱼体体色变黑、瘦弱、离群、不摄食甚至死亡。寄生虫寄生于大菱鲆的体表及鳃部 ,虫体黑褐色 ,全长 40～50mm。经鉴定 ,该寄生虫属于环节动物门(Annelida) ,蛭纲 (Hirudinea) ,吻蛭目 (RhynochobdellidaBlanchard) ,鱼蛭科 (PiscicolidaeJohnson) ,鱼蛭属 (PiscicolaBlainville) ,大鱼蛭 (PisciolamagnaYang)。

矮壮素和缩节胺对闽楠幼苗抗寒性的影响

以一年生闽楠[Phoebe bournei(Hemsl.)Yang]实生苗为材料,喷施植物生长调节剂矮壮素和缩节胺后放置在5、0、-5℃恒温培养箱中处理12 h,然后分别取样测量叶片相关生理指标。结果表明,喷施不同浓度矮壮素和缩节胺后,闽楠叶片组织的叶绿素含量、游离脯氨酸含量、超氧化物歧化酶活性、过氧化物酶活性均发生明显变化;其中以300 mg/L缩节胺和300 mg/L矮壮素溶液处理的闽楠幼苗组织中的叶绿素含量、脯氨酸含量、超氧化物歧化酶活性、过氧化物酶活性表现较优,利于闽楠幼苗增强抗寒能力。

Primary Study on the Protection and Development Planning of Antiquity Gardens——A Case Study of "Temple of YANG Shengan and Guihu Lake"

Through exploring and studying the rebuilding and protection planning of the Temple of YANG Shengan and Guihu Lake,the design principles and experience of rebuilding and protecting gardens of antiquity were summarized,the effective approaches to integrate the rebuilding design and the protection of relics were explored and the suggestions for the protection and development of antiquity gardens were put forward.
