中国体育学术英文期刊的画像分析:以Journal of Sport and Health Science为例

Journal of Sport and Health Science《运动与健康科学》(英文版),简称JSHS,是我国内地地区第一本英文体育学术期刊,深入分析和全面认识JSHS的期刊画像特征,对我国体育学术英文期刊国际化发展实践和建设世界一流期刊均具有重要现实意义。采集Web of Science数据库中2012-2022年755篇JSHS论文,基于科学计量的方法,系统挖掘了JSHS在时间产出、作者合作、机构分布、刊文热点与趋势等特征,还从影响因子、即年指标、被引半衰期等指标,对标对表British Journal of Sports Medicine(简称BJSM,英国运动医学杂志)进行深入分析。研究发现:JSHS作为新创的体育科学期刊和我国建设世界一流期刊的代表,总体发展势头良好。年载文量稳步增长,期刊影响因子、论文影响力显著提升。论文高产机构来自上海体育学院、北卡罗莱纳大学、卡尔加里大学等,高产作者有Walter Herzog、刘宇、于冰、陈佩杰等,作者队伍越来越壮大,且呈团队合作趋势。JSHS在不断发展中形成6大主题群,包括儿童青少年运动与健康促进、老年人群运动与健康、运动表现分析、运动损伤、运动与疾病风险以及运动与认知功能。对标对表BJSM分析,JSHS在出版周期、年发文量、论文影响力等方面亟需提升。

On Side Effects of Media Culture in the Age of Technology in Black Mirror

Black Mirror tells several independent stories based on the background of modern science and technology,expresses the use,reconstruction and destruction of human nature of contemporary science and technology.Since its inception,the play has set off an upsurge in viewing the drama in China.The remolding and alienation by science and technology in the play shows the side effects of media culture in the era of science and technology,which is highly realistic,critical and ironic.Actually,it serves as a metaphor and sounds a warning to the future information age.The paper analyzes the side effects of media culture in the era of science and technology reflected in specific independent stories.It mainly consists of three parts.The first part points out the lack of authenticity and objectivity in media scoring.The second explores the network monitor’s deprivation of our privacy.And the third part summarizes the reflection brought by it:the necessity of strengthening consciousness of individual subject and improving the supervision of network privacy.

该文从桥梁遗产的价值、桥梁入选世界遗产目录的条件和潜在世界桥梁遗产三个方面对《世界桥梁遗产报告》进行了解读,阐释了该报告的主要内容和观点,分析了桥梁遗产的科技价值和文化价值,在其基础上对桥梁遗产的相关研究进行了延伸,指明其对中国桥梁的申遗之路的借鉴之处。中国的桥梁遗产在国际上知名度还很低,今后应进一步加强研究和宣传工作,提升知名度,对于桥梁遗产相关建设资料的存档、对其科技价值和文化价值的研究等方面还需投入更多的关注和研究。

Variations of author origins in World Journal of Gastroenterology during 2001-2007

AIM:To discuss the variations and distributions of authors who published their papers in World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG) during 2001-2007 and evaluate the development of WJG and gastroenterology core journals in recent years by comparing the contributions of the authors. METHODS: WJG articles published in 2001-2007 were searched from MEDLINE database (by ISI Web of Knowledge). The variations (cooperation degree, cooperation rate) and distributions of the first authors were analyzed with bibliometric methods. SCIE was used to collect articles published in Am J Gastroenterol, Gastroenterology, Scand J Gastroenterol and WJG in 2007, and comparison of the data was made. Comparison indicators included the article number of annual journals, cooperation degree of authors, cooperation rate, mean number of articles published in each WJG issue, number of countries of the first WJG authors, geographical distribution and article contribution ratio of all WJG authors and domestic authors. RESULTS: Of the 5851 articles covered in MEDLINE, 173, 236, 633, 826, 1496, 1382 and 1105 articles were cited from 2001 to 2007. The cooperation degree was 5.11, 5.56, 5.75, 5.76, 6.31, 5.90 and 5.64 respectively. The cooperation rates was 94.80%, 99.15%, 98.89%, 98.55%, 99.13%, 96.67% and 95.66%, respectively. The mean number of articles published in each WJG issue from 2001 to 2007 was 28, 39, 52, 34, 31, 28 and 23, respectively. The number of countries of the first WJG authors was 8, 8, 27, 32, 49, 61 and 56, respectively. The first authors of WJG came from 3 continents in 2001 and covered 6 continents in 2006-2007. The number of articles written by Asian authors was 136 (79.07%), 227 (96.19%), 575 (90.98%), 713 (87.81%), 1111 (75.32%),712 (53.98%) and 555 (53.21%), respectively in 2001-2007. The number of articles written by European & American authors increased from 36 (20.93%) and 8 (3.39%) in 2001-2002 to 563 (42.68%) and 452(43.34%) in 2006-2007. The number of countries except for China contributing papers was increased. The number of articles written by first authors of Japan rose from 0 (0%) in 2001-2002 to 287 (12.15%) in 2006-2007. The number of articles written by American authors increased from 6 (1.47%) in 2001-2002 to 158 (6.69%) in 2006-2007. The number of articles written by Chinese authors was 136 (79.07%), 227 (96.19%), 548 (86.71%), 669 (82.39%), 884 (59.93%), 380 (28.81%) and 320 (30.68%), respectively, in 2001 to 2007. The number of articles published in Am J Gastroenterol, Gastroenterology, Scand J Gastroenterol and WJG was 565, 586, 238 and 1118, respectively in 2007. The cooperation degree was 4.77, 6.14, 5.95 and 5.64, respectively, in 2007. The cooperation rate was 95.40%, 84.18%, 96.63% and 95.66%, respectively, in 2007. The number of countries of authors contributing papers was 44, 35, 42 and 62, respectively, in 2007. CONCLUSION:The geographical distribution of WJG authors is wide for the past 2 years. WJG has made a step onto international publishing, and drawn even more attentions from gastroenterology researchers. Its authors are distributed over 74 countries in 6 global continents, and the journal has become the main intermediary for international gastroenterology researchers to demonstrate their research accomplishments.

Development of Entropy Change in Philosophy of Science

Entropy is important in philosophy of science,but some fallacies originate from the misunderstanding entropy increases.The basis of thermodynamics is the statistics and its basic principle of statistical independence.We proposed possible entropy decrease due to fluctuation magnified and internal interactions in isolated systems,and discuss this possibility of various aspects on science and nature.Further,we derive quantitatively a total formula of entropy change for universal evolution of any natural and social systems,and discuss entropy decrease in economics and social sciences.Entropy change is a testable science.As long as we break through the bondage of the second law of thermodynamics,the rich and complex world is full of examples of entropy decrease.We believe world is not pessimistic always.

Philosophical Reflection Over the Origin of the Universe

The world today is in urgent need to unveil the Truth of the Universe to guide the future of humankind.This paper serves as an introductory work to the author’s forthcoming book Revelation and Reflection on Mankind by Modern Physics that examines great recent discoveries in physics and analyzes how it could be linked to philosophical ideologies passed down throughout history from the Axial Age,especially the Eastern philosophical thoughts.This paper also proposes a new cosmic model as a reference for the philosophy and science communities.Finally,this paper advocates for more attention on the Origin of philosophy.

Improvement analysis of article quality in World Journal of Gastroenterology during 2008-2012

AIM:To understand the changes and development of World Journal of Gastroenterology(WJG)in recent years.METHODS:The Journal Citation Report(JCR)and SCI-E database of the ISI Web of Knowledge were used to search the articles and data of related indices in WJG during 2008-2012.Bibliometric methods were used for statistical analysis of the author’s degree of collaboration,collaboration rate,the first author’s publications,high-productivity authors,the authors’origins in each year;the distribution of the countries and journals of the authors citing WJG papers was also analyzed.In addition,the indices related to this journal in each year were compared with the data from 6 SCI journals in the field of gastroenterology in the 2012 volume.RESULTS:A total of 4409 papers in WJG were examined in this study.For the period 2008-2012,the selfcitation rate was 8.59%,6.02%,5.50%,4.47%and5.21%.Of a total of 3898 first authors,3526 published1 paper,291 published 2 papers,59 published 3 papers,and 22 published 4 or more papers.The origin of WJG authors covered the six continents,and the majority came from Asia,Europe and North America.The number of countries of origin of WJG authors was65,66,61,65 an 60 for the period 2008-2012.Authors from 66 countries cited a total of 3194 of the 4409 papers,and these citations were found in 1140 journals.CONCLUSION:The results suggest that WJG has stayed on the track of normal international publication and all the indices of this journal are stable and reasonable.

Transnational Mathematics and Movements: Shiingshen Chern, Hua Luogeng, and the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study from World War II to the Cold War

This paper reconstructs,based on American and Chinese primary sources,the visits of Chinese mathematicians Shiing-shen Chern陈省身(Chen Xingshen)and Hua Luogeng华罗庚(Loo-Keng Hua)4 to the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton in the United States in the 1940s,especially their interactions with Oswald Veblen and Hermann Weyl,two leading mathematicians at the IAS.It argues that Chern’s and Hua’s motivations and choices in regard to their transnational movements between China and the US were more nuanced and multifaceted than what is presented in existing accounts,and that socio-political factors combined with professional-personal ones to shape their decisions.The paper further uses their experiences to demonstrate the importance of transnational scientific interactions for the development of science in China,the US,and elsewhere in the twentieth century.

Historical Course Follows Climate Change: Patterns of the Northern Hemisphere — From Peoples’ Migration until the Industrial Revolution (3^rd-18^thCentury)

This paper relates to the statement that the so-called “Little Ice Age” (RCC 6: 1.350-1.800 A.D.) represents—besides the 8k-Event (8.200-8.000 yr cal. B.P.)—the fastest and strongest onset in Holocene History [1]. Its intention focuses on the correlation of interplaying natural processes (i.e. solar energy variation, aerosols, oceanic currents, volcanism as part of plate tectonics, heat flow) with social/political evidence through the time-span of Peoples’ Migration until Industrial Revolution (3rd-18th Century). The time-span comprises the cool/wet/respectively dry climate phase of the P.M. (260-550), a Climate Optimum (600-1.100 A.D.) owning a final Thermal Maximum (1.100-1.260 A.D.) and the “little Ice Age” (1.350-1.800 A.D.), the latter intercalated by the Spörer Minimum (1.460-1.550 A.D.) and the Maunder Minimum (1.650-1.720 A.D.). Thereby, an average temperature difference of 1.0°C - 2.0°C seems sufficient for incising climatic/cultural consequences [2]. It has become obvious that a Climate Optimum primarily provides constructive life conditions;however with a problematic final as the following “Effect-Chain” tells: balanced agricultural/cultural population growth → rich harvests → satisfying nourishment → health, encouragement → overpopulation under favorable materialistic conditions → increasing stress → lack of food, high prices → revolts → migration. In contrast, cool/wet/resp. dry conditions originate destructive/depressive conditions (see Peoples’ Migration) which initiate the following “Effect Chain”: bad agricultural conditions → poor/no harvesting → famine → disease, growing death rate → social, political revolts, wars → human cruelties with psychic/religious background (inquisition, witch-combustion → general chaos (30 yr-war) → death, migration (maritime endeavors, colonization). Furthermore, it should be stressed that volcanic aerosols play besides the solar influx variation—an important role on climate/cultural change [3]. However, the effects of oceanic currents’ heat flow of Mid-Oceanic Ridges and Hot Spots, as well as Earth-Magnetism and Sun/Earth Geometry are poorly understood in this context (Example: Iceland as hot spot situated on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge having been working since 40 Ma). The Chapter-introducing citations play a challenging role in regard to Science Criticism and touch the so-called 95% Confidence line (accepted realm of causal interrelation and according recommendation to Society [4]).

Small World Effects in a Harmonious Unifying Hybrid Preferential Model Networks

Small worm effects in the harmonious unifying hybrid preferential model （HUHPM） networks are studied both numerically and analytically. The idea and method of the HUHPM is applied to three typical examples of unweighted BA model, weighted BBV model, and the TDE rnodel, so-called HUHPM-BA, HUHPM-BBV and HUHPM- TDE networks. Comparing the HUHPM with current typical models above, it is found that the HUHPM networks has the smallest average path length and the biggest average clustering coefficient. The results demonstrate that the HUHPM is more suitable not only for the un-iveighted models but also for the weighted models.
