Representations of Ten-Dimensional Levi Decomposition Lie Algebras

The authors have recently completed a partial classification of the ten-dimensional real Lie algebras that have the non-trivial Levi decomposition, namely, for such algebras whose semi-simple factor is so(3). In the present paper, we obtain a matrix representation for each of these Lie algebras. We are able to find such representations by exploiting properties of the radical, principally, when it has a trivial center, in which case we can obtain such a representation by restricting the adjoint representation. Another important subclass of algebras is where the radical has a codimension one abelian nilradical and for which a representation can readily be found. In general, finding matrix representations for abstract Lie algebras is difficult and there is no algorithmic process, nor is it at all easy to program by computer, even for algebras of low dimension. The present paper represents another step in our efforts to find linear representations for all the low dimensional abstract Lie algebras. 展开更多

Phys., 1994, 31: 327-334] ... We consider the Borcherds-Cartan matrix obtained from a symmetrizable generalized Cartan matrix by adding one imaginary simple root. We extend the result of Gebert and Teschner [Lett. Math. Phys., 1994, 31: 327-334] to the quantum case. Moreover, we give a connection between the irreducible dominant representations of quantum Kac-Moody algebras and those of quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebras. As the result, a large class of irreducible dominant representations of quantum generalized Kac-Moody algebras were obtained from representations of quantum Kac-Moody algebras through tensor algebras. 展开更多

The aim of this survey paper is to provide the state of the art of the research on control and optimal control of Boolean control networks,under the assumption that all the state variables are accessible and hence available for feedback.Necessary and sufficient conditions for stabilisability to a limit cycle or to an equilibrium point are given.Additionally,it is shown that when such conditions are satisfied,stabilisation can always be achieved by means of state feedback.Analogous results are obtained for the safe control problem that is investigated for the first time in this survey.Finite and infinite horizon optimal control are subsequently considered,and solution algorithms are provided,based on suitable adaptations of theRiccati difference and algebraic equations.Finally,an appropriate definition of the cost function allows to restate and to solve both stabilisation and safe control as infinite horizon optimal control problems. 展开更多

First, an algebraic form is established for SBNs with impulsive effects via ASSR. Second, based on the algebraic form, some necessary and sufficient conditions are presented for the state/output synchronization of SBNs with impulsive effects under arbitrary switching signals. Third, two special kinds of switching signals, that is, free switching signal and feedback switching signal, are considered for the state synchroniza-tion of SBNs with impulsive effects. Finally, two illustrative examples are worked out to show the effectiveness of the obtained results. 展开更多
