The study investigated the application of radiofrequency(RF)-sputtered TiO2 coatings at various temperatures to enhance the hydrophobicity and corrosion resistance of Al6061 alloy.The research aimed to establish a correlation between the coating process and the resulting surface properties.Surface roughness and wettability were quantified with a surface profilometer and goniometer.Additionally,chemical boiling and salt spray corrosion tests were conducted to evaluate any topographical changes during these procedures.The analysis further involved the use of field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)techniques to characterize the deposited coatings.The findings indicated that the TiO2 coating applied at 500℃exhibited the highest water contact angle and superior corrosion resistance compared to other temperatures.Surface characterization confirmed that this specific TiO_(2) coating at 500℃ effectively delays corrosion due to its hydrophobic behavior,making it durable for industrial applications. 展开更多

The double-layer NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2)/Ni-Zn-Al_(2)O_(3) coatings with sufficient corrosion and wear resistance were prepared on low carbon steel substrates.The intermediate layers Ni-Zn-Al_(2)O_(3) were fabricated by using low-pressure cold spray (LPCS) method to improve the salt fog corrosion resistance properties of the supersonic plasma spray (SPS) NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2) coatings.The friction and wear performance for the double-layer and single-layer NiCr-Cr_(3)C_(2) coatings were carried out by line-contact reciprocating sliding,respectively.Combined with the coating surface analysis techniques,the effect of the salt fog corrosion on the tribological properties of the double-layer coatings was studied.The results showed that the double-layer coatings exhibited better wear resistance than that of the single-layer coatings,due to the better corrosion resistance of the intermediate layer;the wear mass losses of the double-layer coatings was reduced by 70%than that of the single layer coatings and the wear mechanism of coatings after salt fog corrosion conditions is mainly corrosion wear. 展开更多

Metal corrosion causes billions of dollars of economic losses yearly.As a smart and new energy-harvesting device,triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)can convert almost all mechanical energy into electricity,which leads to great prospects in metal corrosion prevention and cathodic protection.In this work,flexible TENGs were designed to use the energy harvested by flexible polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)films with ZrB_(2)nanoparticles and effectively improve the dielectric constant by incorporating ZrB_(2).The open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current were 264 V and 22.9μA,respectively,and the power density of the TENGs reached 6 W·m^(-2).Furthermore,a selfpowered anti-corrosion system was designed by the rectifier circuit integrated with TENGs,and the open-circuit potential(OCP)and Tafel curves showed that the system had an excellent anti-corrosion effect on carbon steel.Thus,the system has broad application prospects in fields such as metal cultural relics,ocean engineering,and industry. 展开更多

The selection of appropriate materials for the transportation pipelines is of vital importance to ensure the safety operation in Carbon Capture,Utilisation and Storage(CCUS).To clarify the effects of Cr content in steel on the resistance against general and localised corrosion,electrochemistry methods combined with pH measurements and various surface analysis techniques were implemented on X65,1Cr,3Cr and 5Cr steel samples in a CO_(2)-saturated solution at 60°C and pH 6.6 during 192 h of immersion.Additionally,thermodynamic and kinetic analyses of the formation of the corrosion products on carbon steel and low-Cr steels were performed.The results show that the general corrosion resistance increased with rising Cr content without the presence of significant corrosion products formation.However,with the formation and development of the corrosion products,the general corrosion resistance reduced with the increase in Cr content.The formation of the compact crystalline FeCO3 on X65 and 1Cr steel surfaces offered superior general corrosion protection,while cannot provide enough localised corrosion protection.By contrast,the double-structural corrosion product layers on 3Cr and 5Cr steels notably suppressed the localised corrosion,but providing poor protection against general corrosion over long immersion periods.This study reveals the contributions of Cr content on general and localised corrosion resistance at various periods,providing references for material selection and evaluation in CO_(2) environments relevant for CCUS. 展开更多

In this article,NiCr coatings with chromium content of 13%,27%and 41%were prepared by arc spraying.They were exposed in molten salts(NaCl-Na_(2)SO_(4))at 800℃for 200 hours.The effect of chromium content on the hot corrosion behavior of the coatings was in-vestigated.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscope with energy dispersion spectrum(SEM-EDS)were used to analyze the phase compositions,morphologies and chemical compositions of the coatings.The results show that NiCr13 coating exhibited the worst hot corrosion resistance due to the low chromium content,which resulted in NiO being the major reaction product.It should be noted that the hot corrosion resistance of NiCr27 coating was better than that of NiCr41 coating.The basic fluxing of Cr_(2)O_(3) lowered its protection during the hot corrosion process and led to the formation of porous Cr_(2)O_(3) on the NiCr41 coating.The molten salts accelerated the oxidation reac-tion resulting in thicker and porous oxide scales formed on the surfaces of coatings. 展开更多

Introducing inorganic nanomaterials into a polymer matrix greatly improves the anticorrosion performance of epoxy coatings(EP);however,poor compatibility between the materials can limit the improvement in properties.In this work,based on the high interface compatibility of two-dimensional(2D)Co_(2)(OH)_(2)BDC(BDC=1,4-benzenedicarboxylate)in the epoxy coating that we reported in previous work,we fabricated a 2D Co_(2)(OH)_(2)BDC-halloysite nanotube(HNT)nanocomposite have a structure consisting of alternating of nanosheets and nanotube by in situ synthesis.The nanocomposite was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction,and scanning electron microscopy.The mechanical and anticorrosion performance of the 2D Co_(2)(OH)_(2)BDC-HNT/EP coating was evaluated by mechanical tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy spectra.Compared with a conventional unreinforced epoxy coating,the 2D Co_(2)(OH)_(2)BDC-HNT/EP coating had higher mechanical strength and toughness,and the low-frequency impedance modulus of 2D Co_(2)(OH)_(2)BDC-HNT/EP coating was increased by three orders of magnitude,demonstrating the high corrosion resistance of our reinforced coating. 展开更多

Nano-sized reinforcements improved the mechanical characteristics efficiently by promoting more implicit particle hardening mechanisms compared to micron-sized reinforcements.Nano-sized particles lessen the critical particle solidification velocity for swamp and thus offers better dispersal.In the present investigation,the friction stir processing(FSP)is utilized to produce AZ31/Al_(2)O_(3)nanocomposites at various tool rotation speeds(i.e.,900,1200,and 1500 rpm)with an optimized 1.5%volume alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))reinforcement ratio.The mechanical and corrosion behavior of AZ31/Al_(2)O_(3)-developed nanocomposites was investigated and compared with that of the AZ31 base alloy.The AZ31 alloy experienced a comprehensive dynamic recrystallization during FSP,causing substantial grain refinement.Grain-size strengthening is the primary factor contributed to the enhancement in the strength of the fabricated nanocomposite.Tensile strength and yield strength values were lower than those for the base metal matrix,although an upward trend in both values has been observed with an increase in tool rotation speed.An 19.72%increase in hardness along with superior corrosion resistance was achieved compared to the base alloy at a tool rotational speed of 1500 rpm.The corrosion currents(Jcorr)of all samples dropped with increase in the rotational speed,in contrast to the corrosion potentials(Ecorr),which increased.The values of Jcorr of AZ31/Al_(2)O_(3)were 42.3%,56.8%,and 65.5%lower than those of AZ31 alloy at the chosen rotating speeds of 900,1200,and 1500 rpm,respectively.The corrosion behavior of friction stir processed nanocomposites have been addressed in this manuscript which has not been given sufficient attention in the existing literature.Further,this work offers an effective choice for the quality assurance of the FSP process of AZ31/Al_(2)O_(3)nanocomposites.The obtained results are relevant to the development of lightweight automobile and aerospace structures and components. 展开更多

The electrochemical behaviors and coupling behaviors of the Mg2Si and Si phases with α(Al) were investigated, the corrosion morphologies of Al alloys containing Mg2Si and Si particles were observed, and the corrosion mechanism associated with them in Al-Mg-Si alloys was advanced. The results show that Si particle is always cathodic to the alloy base, Mg2Si is anodic to the alloy base and corrosion occurs on its surface at the beginning. However, during its corrosion process, the preferential dissolution of Mg and the enrichment of Si make Mg2Si transform to cathode from anode, leading to the anodic dissolution and corrosion of the alloy base at its adjacent periphery at a later stage. As the mole ratio of Mg to Si in an Al-Mg-Si alloy is less than 1.73, it contains Mg2Si and Si particles simultaneously in the grain boundary area, and corrosion initiates on the Mg2Si surface and the precipitate-free zone (PFZ) at the adjacent periphery of Si particle. As corrosion time is extended, Si particle leads to severe anodic dissolution and corrosion of the PFZ at its adjacent periphery, expedites the polarity transformation between Mg2Si and the PFZ and accelerates the corrosion of PFZ at the adjacent periphery of Mg2Si particle. 展开更多

A comparative study on the corrosion resistance of 17Ni/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet inert anode prepared in differentsintering atmospheres was conducted in Na3AlF6-Al2O3 melt. The results indicate that the corrosion rates of NiFe2O4-based cermetanodes prepared in the vacuum and the atmosphere with oxygen content of 2×10^-3 (volume fraction) are 6.46 and 2.71 cm/a,respectively. Though there is a transition layer with lots of holes or pores, a densified layer is formed on the surface of anode due tosome reactions producing aluminates. For the anode prepared in the atmosphere with oxygen content of 2×10^-3, the thickness of thedensification layer (about 50 μm) is thicker than that (about 30 μm) formed on the surface of anode prepared in the vacuum. Thecontents of NiO and Fe(II) in NiFe2xO4-y-z increase with the decrease of oxygen content in sintering atmosphere, which reduces thecorrosion resistance of the material. 展开更多

NiFe2O4-10NiO-based cermet inert anodes for aluminium electrolysis were prepared and their properties were investigated in a lab-scale electrolysis cell. The results show that the inert anodes exhibit good performance during electrolysis in molten salt cryolite at 960 °C, but according to the analyses of phase compositions and microstructures through XRD, SEM/EDX and metallographic analysis, the metal in the anodes is preferentially corroded and many pores are produced on the anode surface after electrolysis. The preferential dissolution of Fe in the NiFe2O4 phase may lead to the non-uniform corrosion of NiFe2O4 grains. Moreover, a dense protective layer of NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 is formed on the anode surface, which originates from the reaction of Al2O3 dissolved in the electrolyte with NiO or FeO, the annexation of NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 to NiO and volume expansion. Thus, the dense NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 layer inhibits the metal loss and ceramic-phase corrosion on the surface of the cermet inert anodes. 展开更多

Ta-containing TiO2 films with Ta contents of 5%, 20%, 33% (mole fraction) were sol-gel coated on the surface roughened Ti6AI4V alloy by dip coating method for biomedical applications. The Ta-TiO2 films on 1.5 mol/L NaOH-HCI pretreated substrate are adherent, but there are cracks for the sample with 33% Ta. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results show that Ti and Ta exist as TiP2 and Ta205 in the film, and A1 element is not detectable. X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering analyses reveal that the addition of Ta decreases crystallization of the films. Potentiodynamic polarization test in a Ca-free Hank's balanced solution demonstrates that the coating samples markedly improve the corrosion resistance compared with the polished sample. The addition of Ta impedes UV light-induced hydrophilic conversion of the coating samples. The sample with 20% Ta has enough film integrity and hydrophilic conversion rate, and is expected to possess good biological properties. 展开更多

氧气与二氧化碳共存环境的腐蚀已成为油田注入井况中金属材料损伤的主要诱因。采用高温高压釜模拟了西部某油田注入井工况(O_(2)-CO_(2)共存环境),通过腐蚀失重试验、点蚀三维形貌分析、腐蚀产物显微分析等方法研究了P110和3Cr两种油管... 氧气与二氧化碳共存环境的腐蚀已成为油田注入井况中金属材料损伤的主要诱因。采用高温高压釜模拟了西部某油田注入井工况(O_(2)-CO_(2)共存环境),通过腐蚀失重试验、点蚀三维形貌分析、腐蚀产物显微分析等方法研究了P110和3Cr两种油管钢在高温高压、O_(2)-CO_(2)共存的高矿化度地层水环境中的腐蚀行为。结果表明:两种油管钢在O_(2)-CO_(2)共存环境中遭受了严重的均匀腐蚀和局部腐蚀;在90~150℃内,两种材料的腐蚀随温度升高而加剧,均匀腐蚀速率增幅达79.7%,最大点蚀速率的增幅达143.4%;O_(2)与CO_(2)共存时,阴极反应显著加快,加速了保护性较差的铁氧化物的形成,导致严重的均匀腐蚀和局部腐蚀,而低Cr钢中的Cr不足以改善腐蚀产物膜的保护性,使该钢不能适应O_(2)-CO_(2)共存环境。 展开更多

钢材由于具有高强度和耐热性等优异性能而广泛应用于各种零构件,在服役过程中通常面临较为严重的腐蚀问题。CO_(2)腐蚀是钢材应用领域中较为常见的一种腐蚀失效方式。通常,CO_(2)对钢的腐蚀行为表现为其溶于水后产生的碳酸腐蚀,但在高... 钢材由于具有高强度和耐热性等优异性能而广泛应用于各种零构件,在服役过程中通常面临较为严重的腐蚀问题。CO_(2)腐蚀是钢材应用领域中较为常见的一种腐蚀失效方式。通常,CO_(2)对钢的腐蚀行为表现为其溶于水后产生的碳酸腐蚀,但在高温环境中,CO_(2)可直接使钢表面氧化,同时伴随渗碳现象发生,钢的力学性能与耐腐蚀性能均会因此大幅下降。然而,目前关于钢在高温CO_(2)环境中的腐蚀行为研究缺乏相关系统总结。综述有关高温CO_(2)环境下钢的腐蚀机理,总结高温CO_(2)环境中温度、压力以及环境中存在的其他杂质气体对腐蚀方式及机理的影响规律,归纳已有的高温CO_(2)氧化与渗碳腐蚀模型的发展状况,概述目前关于抗高温CO_(2)腐蚀的钢材涂层类型及其防护效果。研究表明,由于含Cr钢在高温CO_(2)环境中形成的Cr2O3层相较于Fe氧化物层更加致密,Cr元素的存在通常有利于钢的耐腐蚀性能。而环境中,温度与压力的升高以及杂质气体的存在往往会加重钢的CO_(2)腐蚀,但这些因素的影响规律会随着钢的种类及服役环境的变化而变化。目前关于钢的CO_(2)腐蚀模型主要为单一的高温氧化模型或者渗碳模型,可预测氧化物层厚度或渗碳深度,但无法准确预测同时发生氧化和渗碳行为的钢的腐蚀寿命。综述相关研究现状不仅能指出现有研究的不足及未来研究的展开方向,还可为高温环境中钢材抗CO_(2)腐蚀防护措施的选择及其长周期安全服务寿命评价提供全面理论依据。 展开更多

5Cr油套管钢在含Cl^(-)的CO_(2)环境中的腐蚀特性研究

目的掌握油气井生产中CO_(2)腐蚀对油套管的影响规律,研究兼顾耐蚀性和经济性的5Cr油套管材料在含Cl^(-)的CO_(2)环境中不同时间下的腐蚀演变规律。方法采用XRD、XPS、SEM和EDS等技术分析5Cr油套管钢在不同时间下腐蚀产物膜的演变情况,... 目的掌握油气井生产中CO_(2)腐蚀对油套管的影响规律,研究兼顾耐蚀性和经济性的5Cr油套管材料在含Cl^(-)的CO_(2)环境中不同时间下的腐蚀演变规律。方法采用XRD、XPS、SEM和EDS等技术分析5Cr油套管钢在不同时间下腐蚀产物膜的演变情况,利用丝束电极(WBE)和阻抗测试(EIS)技术对其腐蚀电化学行为进行研究。结果5Cr油套管钢腐蚀后期的平均腐蚀速率约为初期的1/2,在腐蚀14 d后,腐蚀产物膜中的Cr富集大于30%,Cr、Fe质量比达到较高水平,约为基体的15倍。随着腐蚀的进行,电荷传递电阻和产物膜覆盖引起的电阻增大,电化学反应阻力增大。在腐蚀前期具有局部不均匀性,随着腐蚀的进行,电极腐蚀电位有负移现象,最终分布区间为−0.59~−0.61 V,电极表面阳极电流区域大幅减少。结论在腐蚀时间延长的条件下,5Cr油套管钢腐蚀产物膜的致密性增加,电荷传递电阻呈变大趋势。在产物膜下的5Cr油套管钢区域,电流发生由阴极向阳极极性转变的现象,产物膜存在的孔隙使5Cr油套管钢基体金属被腐蚀,从而导致阳极电流的出现。表面局部腐蚀电位阳极区的形成和扩展使其有产生点蚀的倾向,但腐蚀产物逐渐沉积在点蚀坑内壁,形成了Cr富集的保护性表面层,原发生点蚀区域由原阳极活性点位转变为阴极区,对其发展起到了抑制作用。 展开更多

目的从微观尺度探究CO_(2)-H_(2)S(CO_(2)和H_(2)S共存)在湿气管道顶部的吸附特性,进而揭示点蚀机理。方法基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理,利用Materials Studio构建CO_(2)、H_(2)S和CO_(2)-H_(2)S在α-Fe(110)密排面的吸附模型,对CO_(2)... 目的从微观尺度探究CO_(2)-H_(2)S(CO_(2)和H_(2)S共存)在湿气管道顶部的吸附特性,进而揭示点蚀机理。方法基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理,利用Materials Studio构建CO_(2)、H_(2)S和CO_(2)-H_(2)S在α-Fe(110)密排面的吸附模型,对CO_(2)、H_(2)S和CO_(2)-H_(2)S在α-Fe(110)面的吸附能、局域态密度、分波态密度和差分电荷密度进行仿真;利用高温高压釜模拟CO_(2)-H_(2)S-Cl^(-)腐蚀环境,分析L360钢在湿气环境中的腐蚀行为;最后,揭示含Cl^(-)湿气管道顶部CO_(2)-H_(2)S吸附机制与点蚀机理。结果CO_(2)、H_(2)S、CO_(2)-H_(2)S及CO_(2)-H_(2)S-Cl^(-)在最稳定位置时的吸附能分别为-4.065、-3.961、-8.538、-12.775e V,表明相较于CO_(2)与H_(2)S单独吸附,CO_(2)-H_(2)S在α-Fe(110)面的吸附能更负,Cl^(-)会进一步降低CO_(2)-H_(2)S的吸附能;且CO_(2)在与H_(2)S竞争环境电子中占优势;Cl^(-)会使CO_(2)-H_(2)S的局域态密度峰值降低,转移趋势为失去电子,基体和腐蚀介质的电子向着低能级跃迁释放出更多能量,进而加强了Fe与CO_(2)-H_(2)S间的化学键强度;Cl^(-)的2p轨道与Fe的3d轨道在-6.8 eV和-5.7 eV发生重叠,Cl^(-)被吸附到Fe表面并与Fe形成化学键生成氯化物,进而改变腐蚀产物膜的组分与结构,削弱产物膜的致密性和稳定性,减弱腐蚀阻抗力。在含Cl^(-)湿气的CO_(2)-H_(2)S环境中,液相中的Cl^(-)浓度升高,使L360钢的气相平均腐蚀速率逐渐增大,最高达2.935mm/a,点蚀越发严重。结论CO_(2)与H_(2)S在α-Fe(110)面吸附存在一定的协同和竞争作用,协同促进金属的腐蚀,FeCO3会优先沉积成膜,但H_(2)S会抑制FeCO3的生长,腐蚀产物以FeS为主;Cl^(-)会增强CO_(2)-H_(2)S与α-Fe(110)面间的作用力,弱化腐蚀产物膜层的保护性,进一步加速金属腐蚀、尤其是点蚀。 展开更多

为了提高Q235钢材在海水中的耐腐蚀性能,扩大其应用场合,使其能够服役于富含Cl离子的海洋环境,采用激光熔覆技术,在Q235钢表面制备出添加不同质量分数CeO_(2)改性的Ni基/WC复合熔覆层,并利用扫描电镜、能谱仪和电化学工作站等仪器对熔... 为了提高Q235钢材在海水中的耐腐蚀性能,扩大其应用场合,使其能够服役于富含Cl离子的海洋环境,采用激光熔覆技术,在Q235钢表面制备出添加不同质量分数CeO_(2)改性的Ni基/WC复合熔覆层,并利用扫描电镜、能谱仪和电化学工作站等仪器对熔覆层的组织与性能进行了测试。结果表明,适量CeO_(2)的加入可以促进晶粒细化与组织的均匀分布,提高熔覆层在NaCl溶液(质量分数为3.5%)中的耐腐蚀性能;当添加的CeO_(2)质量分数达到1%时,熔覆层具有最高的平均硬度与最好的耐海水腐蚀性能;过高的CeO_(2)含量则会加剧电偶腐蚀效应,降低其耐腐蚀性能。该研究为后续在Q235钢材表面制备耐腐蚀的激光熔覆合金涂层、改善合金材料表面性能提供了理论参考依据。 展开更多

针对CO_(2)管输过程中碳钢因发生腐蚀而导致失效的问题,开展了316不锈钢的腐蚀行为研究。使用失重法研究含水率、CO_(2)分压以及Cl-浓度对316不锈钢腐蚀行为的影响,并绘制了腐蚀特征图谱;采用扫描电镜分析了腐蚀产物的微光形貌,X-射线... 针对CO_(2)管输过程中碳钢因发生腐蚀而导致失效的问题,开展了316不锈钢的腐蚀行为研究。使用失重法研究含水率、CO_(2)分压以及Cl-浓度对316不锈钢腐蚀行为的影响,并绘制了腐蚀特征图谱;采用扫描电镜分析了腐蚀产物的微光形貌,X-射线衍射仪分析了腐蚀产物成分。结果表明:316不锈钢在管输CO_(2)工况条件下表现出较好的耐腐蚀性,处于轻度腐蚀状态,腐蚀速率极低;316不锈钢腐蚀速率随含水率的增大而增大,随CO_(2)分压的增大而减小,随Cl-浓度的增加而增大;316不锈钢含有Cr可以在不锈钢表面形成致密的钝化膜,这使得Cr成为不锈钢防腐的关键;由于316不锈钢腐蚀速率远小于碳钢,在腐蚀“重灾区”,可以考虑将集输管道更换成316不锈钢。该研究成果为CCUS中CO_(2)管输钢材的选型提供重要的理论依据。 展开更多
