The stability of Abe' s approval rates originated from the people' s negative support for him and their opposition to the Security Laws and other important events as well as the scandals under his administration. The opposition and negative support originated from the people's "acquired helplessness", "Abenomics", the sharp drop in the opporttmity costs of voting and other conditions. The sudden fall of Abe' s approval rates was not due to the change in the aforementioned conditions, rather because of the collapse of his image including personality owing to Abe' s perceived arrogance and his estrangement with the people. In the context of the temporary stabilization of approval rates, Abe dissolved the House of Representatives ahead of schedule and held a general election, taking full advantage of the internal strife between the opposition parties, to achieve his goal of ruling until the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. His victory in the recent election does not accurately demonstrate that Abe is completely immune to negative impact, thus he will to use the Korean Peninsula crisis and other issues to demonstrate his ability of safeguarding Japan's security, seek reconstruction of his image, and further enhance his approval rate to stabilize his administration.展开更多

It is concluded that Emily has developed a particularly strong desire for controlling and personal awareness under the social deprivation by her father for about thirty years, contributing to her twisted acknowledgement of her relationship with Homer, which are later triggered off when Homer refuses to marry her, finally into the seemingly inconceivable ending that Emily kills him and spends the rest forty years of her life with the decomposing corpse of her beloved one's.展开更多

These student athletes work their entire lives academically and athletically to reach the ultimate goal: competing in university athletics. However, when these athletes reach university, they are met with non-stop training, homework, exams, and evolving social lives. We have conducted a study at the University of Evansville evaluating how participation in university athletics may impact mental health status among these student athletes, as well as measuring players’ awareness of accessible mental health resources. Over fifty percent of participants reported experiencing at least one mental health condition while competing in their sport;eighty percent reported having knowledge of the mental health resources available to them on campus, however, nearly thirty percent of those knowledgeable reported not knowing how to access these resources. This has indicated a gap in awareness and utilization of mental health resources among student athletes at the University of Evansville.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage(HCH),the most common chronic diseases, has become a topic of global public health discussions.AIM To investigate the role of rehabilitative nursing interventions in optimizing the postoperative mental status recovery phase and to provide clinical value for future rehabilitation of patients with HCH.METHODS This randomized controlled study included 120 patients with cerebral HCH who were contained to our neurosurgery department between May 2021–May 2023 as the participants. The participants have randomly sampled and grouped into the observation and control groups. The observation group received the rehabilitation nursing model, whereas the control group have given conventional nursing. The conscious state of the patients was assessed at 7,14,21,and 30 d postoperatively. After one month of care, sleep quality, anxiety, and depression were compared between the two groups.Patient and family satisfaction were assessed using a nursing care model.RESULTS The results showed that the state of consciousness scores of the patients in both groups significantly increased(P<0.05)after surgical treatment. From the 14th day onwards, differences in the state of consciousness scores between the two groups of patients began to appear(P<0.05).After one month of care, the sleep quality, anxiety state, and depression state of patients were significantly better in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Satisfaction with nursing care was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The rehabilitation nursing model has a more complete system compared to conventional nursing, which can effectively improve the postoperative quality of life of patients with cerebral hemorrhage and improve the efficiency of mental state recovery;however, further analysis and research are needed to provide more scientific evidence.
文摘BACKGROUND Healthcare workers(HCWs)are at increased risk of contracting coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)as well as worsening mental health problems and insomnia. These problems can persist for a long period, even after the pandemic. However, less is known about this topic.AIM To analyze mental health, insomnia problems, and their influencing factors in HCWs after the COVID-19 pandemic.METHODS This multicenter cross-sectional,hospital-based study was conducted from June 1,2023 to June 30,2023,which was a half-year after the end of the COVID-19 emergency.Region-stratified population-based cluster sampling was applied at the provincial level for Chinese HCWs.Symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia were evaluated by the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7,Patient Health Questionnaire-9,and Insomnia Severity Index.Factors influencing the symptoms were identified by multivariable logistic regression.RESULTS A total of 2000 participants were invited, for a response rate of 70.6%.A total of 1412 HCWs[618(43.8%)doctors,583(41.3%)nurses and 211(14.9%)nonfrontline],254(18.0%),231(16.4%),and 289(20.5%)had symptoms of anxiety, depression, and insomnia, respectively;severe symptoms were found in 58(4.1%),49(3.5%),and 111(7.9%)of the participants.Nurses, female sex,and hospitalization for COVID-19 were risk factors for anxiety, depression, and insomnia symptoms;moreover, death from family or friends was a risk factor for insomnia symptoms.During the COVID-19 outbreak,most[1086(76.9%)]of the participating HCWs received psychological interventions, while nearly all[994(70.4%)]of them had received public psychological education.Only 102(7.2%)of the HCWs received individual counseling from COVID-19.CONCLUSION Although the mental health and sleep problems of HCWs were relieved after the COVID-19 pandemic, they still faced challenges and greater risks than did the general population.Identifying risk factors would help in providing targeted interventions. In addition, although a major proportion of HCWs have received public psychological education, individual interventions are still insufficient.
文摘The national government wants to penetrate into the grass-roots unit after the triumph of the Anti-Japanese War in the recovery area.Through the reorganization of the Baojia system, the government expects to achieve local autonomy and then solve the people’s livelihood issues. The new Baojia system provides a platform for people to achieve their own demands, which presents the vision of civil rights to a certain extent. However, because of the complexity of the postwar social environment, the Baojia system cannot completely represent the will of the people, and finally becomes a militarized organization that was used as a tool to carry out the government decree.
文摘From June to July of 2017, the approval rates of the Abe administration fell sharply, in stark contrast to the long-term stability since 2012. His victory in the recent election does not accurately demonstrate that Abe is completely immune to negative impact, thus he will to use the Korean Peninsula crisis and other issues to demonstrate his ability of safeguarding Japan's security, seek reconstruction of his image, and further enhance his approval rate to stabilize his administration.
文摘This paper investigates the development of the heroine's psychology during the period presented in A Rose for Emily by displaying her experiences in chronological order and teasing out the details that may have caused significant influence on Emily's mental state. It is concluded that Emily has developed a particularly strong desire for controlling and personal awareness under the social deprivation by her father for about thirty years, contributing to her twisted acknowledgement of her relationship with Homer, which are later triggered off when Homer refuses to marry her, finally into the seemingly inconceivable ending that Emily kills him and spends the rest forty years of her life with the decomposing corpse of her beloved one's.

文摘As a typical Lenin-style political party, what should be concerned most is the CPC’s (Communist Party of China) capacity in fighting against and clearing enemies. This study provides a distinct perspective to observe and recognize CPC’s ability of turning hostility into friendship.Japanese prisoners of war (POW) had been poisoned by ultra-nationalism and militarism for years, and thus were extremely difficult to be reformed. However, under the correct ideological guidance of Mao and the unremitting efforts of the CPC’s political officers and cadres,a great number of them acknowledged the CPC’s political ideology and joined the CPC’s team.
文摘In recent years, the NCAA student athlete population in the United States has surpassed 500,000, and is continuing to rise each year [1]. This has indicated a gap in awareness and utilization of mental health resources among student athletes at the University of Evansville.
