Ambient noise tomography(ANT)has been widely used to image crust and upmost mantle structures.ANT assumes that sources of ambient noise are diffuse and evenly distributed in space and the energy of different modes is ...Ambient noise tomography(ANT)has been widely used to image crust and upmost mantle structures.ANT assumes that sources of ambient noise are diffuse and evenly distributed in space and the energy of different modes is equipartitioned.At present,the sources of the primary and the secondary microseisms are well studied,but there are only a few on the studies of long-period ambient noise sources.In this study,we study the effects of large earthquake signals on the recovery of surface waves from seismic ambient noise data recorded by seismic stations from the US permanent networks and Global Seismographic Network(GSN).Our results show that large earthquake signals play an important role on the recovery of long-period surface waves from ambient noise cross-correlation functions.Our results are consistent with previous studies that suggest the contribution of earthquake signals to the recovery of surface waves from cross-correlations of ambient noise is dominant at periods larger than 20–40 s.展开更多

Then, the influence of signal amplitude and the ST threshold on ASR is examined, the applicability of the ST in reducing the noise level of random signal transmission and improving the quality of output signal via ASR effect is illustrated. In order to solve the problem of ambiguous acquisition of BOC signals caused by its property of multiple peaks,an unambiguous acquisition algorithm named reconstruction of sub cross-correlation cancellation technique(...In order to solve the problem of ambiguous acquisition of BOC signals caused by its property of multiple peaks,an unambiguous acquisition algorithm named reconstruction of sub cross-correlation cancellation technique(RSCCT)for BOC(kn,n)signals is proposed.In this paper,the principle of signal decomposition is combined with the traditional acquisition algorithm structure,and then based on the method of reconstructing the correlation function.The method firstly gets the sub-pseudorandom noise(PRN)code by decomposing the local PRN code,then uses BOC(kn,n)and the sub-PRN code cross-correlation to get the sub cross-correlation function.Finally,the correlation peak with a single peak is obtained by reconstructing the sub cross-correlation function so that the ambiguities of BOC acquisition are removed.The simulation shows that RSCCT can completely eliminate the side peaks of BOC(kn,n)group signals while maintaining the narrow correlation of BOC,and its computational complexity is equivalent to sub carrier phase cancellation(SCPC)and autocorrelation side-peak cancellation technique(ASPeCT),and it reduces the computational complexity relative to BPSK-like.For BOC(n,n),the acquisition sensitivity of RSCCT is 3.25 dB,0.81 dB and 0.25 dB higher than binary phase shift keying(BPSK)-like,SCPC and ASPeCT at the acquisition probability of 90%,respectively.The peak to average power ratio is 1.91,3.0 and 3.7 times higher than ASPeCT,SCPC and BPSK-like at SNR=–20 dB,respectively.For BOC(2n,n),the acquisition sensitivity of RSCCT is 5.5 dB,1.25 dB and 2.69 dB higher than BPSK-like,SCPC and ASPeCT at the acquisition probability of 90%,respectively.The peak to average power ratio is 1.02,1.68 and 2.12 times higher than ASPeCT,SCPC and BPSK-like at SNR=–20 dB,respectively.展开更多
Temporal-spatial cross-correlation analysis of non-stationary wind speed time series plays a crucial role in wind field reconstruction as well as in wind pattern recognition.Firstly,the near-surface wind speed time se...Temporal-spatial cross-correlation analysis of non-stationary wind speed time series plays a crucial role in wind field reconstruction as well as in wind pattern recognition.Firstly,the near-surface wind speed time series recorded at different locations are studied using the detrended fluctuation analysis(DFA),and the corresponding scaling exponents are larger than 1.This indicates that all these wind speed time series have non-stationary characteristics.Secondly,concerning this special feature( i.e.,non-stationarity)of wind signals,a cross-correlation analysis method,namely detrended cross-correlation analysis(DCCA) coefficient,is employed to evaluate the temporal-spatial cross-correlations between non-stationary time series of different anemometer pairs.Finally,experiments on ten wind speed data synchronously collected by the ten anemometers with equidistant arrangement illustrate that the method of DCCA cross-correlation coefficient can accurately analyze full-scale temporal-spatial cross-correlation between non-stationary time series and also can easily identify the seasonal component,while three traditional cross-correlation techniques(i.e.,Pearson coefficient,cross-correlation function,and DCCA method) cannot give us these information directly.展开更多

Long-term levodopa administration can lead to the development of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Gamma oscillations are a widely recognized hallmark of abnormal neural electrical activity in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Cu...Long-term levodopa administration can lead to the development of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Gamma oscillations are a widely recognized hallmark of abnormal neural electrical activity in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Currently,studies have reported increased oscillation power in cases of levodopa-induced dyskinesia.However,little is known about how the other electrophysiological parameters of gamma oscillations are altered in levodopa-induced dyskinesia.Furthermore,the role of the dopamine D3 receptor,which is implicated in levodopa-induced dyskinesia,in movement disorder-related changes in neural oscillations is unclear.We found that the cortico-striatal functional connectivity of beta oscillations was enhanced in a model of Parkinson’s disease.Furthermore,levodopa application enhanced cortical gamma oscillations in cortico-striatal projections and cortical gamma aperiodic components,as well as bidirectional primary motor cortex(M1)↔dorsolateral striatum gamma flow.Administration of PD128907(a selective dopamine D3 receptor agonist)induced dyskinesia and excessive gamma oscillations with a bidirectional M1↔dorsolateral striatum flow.However,administration of PG01037(a selective dopamine D3 receptor antagonist)attenuated dyskinesia,suppressed gamma oscillations and cortical gamma aperiodic components,and decreased gamma causality in the M1→dorsolateral striatum direction.These findings suggest that the dopamine D3 receptor plays a role in dyskinesia-related oscillatory activity,and that it has potential as a therapeutic target for levodopa-induced dyskinesia.展开更多
A method of combining Green’s function retrieval theory and ultrasonic array imaging using Lamb waves is presented to solve near filed defects in thin aluminum plates.The defects are close to the ultrasonic phased ar...A method of combining Green’s function retrieval theory and ultrasonic array imaging using Lamb waves is presented to solve near filed defects in thin aluminum plates.The defects are close to the ultrasonic phased array and satisfy the near field calculation formula.Near field acoustic information of defects is obscured by the nonlinear effects of initial wave signal in a directly acquired response using the full matrix capture mode.A reconstructed full matrix of inter-element responses is produced from cross-correlation of directly received ultrasonic signals between sensor pairs.This new matrix eliminates the nonlinear interference and restores the near-field defect information.The topological imaging method that was developed in recent ultrasonic inspection is used for displaying the scatterers.The experiments are conducted on both thin aluminum plates containing two and four defects, respectively.The results show that these defects are clearly identified when using a reconstructed full matrix.The spatial resolution is equal to about one wavelength of the selectively excited mode and the identifiable defect is about one fifth of the wavelength.However, in a conventional directly captured image,the images of defects overlap together and cannot be distinguished.The proposed method reduces the background noise and allows for effective topological imaging of near field defects.展开更多

It is also confirmed by laboratory experiments on ultrasonics and theoretical der...Estimated Green’s function (EGF) between stations has been extracted from ambient seismic noise, direct surface wave and coda waves. It is also confirmed by laboratory experiments on ultrasonics and theoretical derivations assuming diffusive wave field, equi-partition of modes or random sources on an enclosed surface. This method provides a new approach to study the crust and mantle structure at regional scale, continental scale and global scale. Following the achievements with seismometer records, the records of infrasonic station, hydrophone and microphone were also used to obtain the EGFs of different wave fields. Since superconducting gravimeter is a better long period instrument than regular seismometer, EGF at longer period is expected to be obtained with the cross correlation of gravity data. In this paper, we will show the EGFs extracted by cross-correlations between the superconducting gravimeters and the seismometers. Both the travel times and dispersion curves obtained from different data types are consistent. The result shows that it is possible to retrieve the deep structure by the cross correlation of gravity data.展开更多

To measure the performance of the SR system in the presence of an aperiodic input, the bit error rate is employed, as is commonly used in binary communications. The numerical simulations strongly support the theoretical results. The importance of the spreading codes to CDMA systems cannot be overemphasized, for the type of the code used, its length, and its chip rate set bounds on the capability of the system that can be changed only by changing the code. The connectivity between nodes is jud...An adaptive topology learning approach is proposed to learn the topology of a practical camera network in an unsupervised way. The nodes are modeled by the Gaussian mixture model. The connectivity between nodes is judged by their cross-correlation function, which is also used to calculate their transition time distribution. The mutual information of the connected node pair is employed for transition probability calculation. A false link eliminating approach is proposed, along with a topology updating strategy to improve the learned topology. A real monitoring system with five disjoint cameras is built for experiments. Comparative results with traditional methods show that the proposed method is more accurate in topology learning and is more robust to environmental changes.展开更多
