Metal-Organic Framework Nanocarriers for Drug Delivery in Biomedical Applications

Investigation of metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)for biomedical applications has attracted much attention in recent years.MOFs are regarded as a promising class of nanocarriers for drug delivery owing to well-defined structure,ultrahigh surface area and porosity,tunable pore size,and easy chemical functionalization.In this review,the unique properties of MOFs and their advantages as nanocarriers for drug delivery in biomedical applications were discussed in the first section.Then,state-ofthe-art strategies to functionalize MOFs with therapeutic agents were summarized,including surface adsorption,pore encapsulation,covalent binding,and functional molecules as building blocks.In the third section,the most recent biological applications of MOFs for intracellular delivery of drugs,proteins,and nucleic acids,especially aptamers,were presented.Finally,challenges and prospects were comprehensively discussed to provide context for future development of MOFs as efficient drug delivery systems.

Recent advancements in metal-organic frameworks for green applications

A series of environmental and energy issues,such as global warming,water pollution,acid rain,and energy shortage,have to be settled urgently.Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are compounds consisting of metal ions or clusters coordinated to organic ligands,which show great promise for alleviating or mitigating these challenges owing to their outstanding physical and chemical properties.In this review,we summarize the recent advances of MOFs in the fields of green applications,including carbon capture,harmful gas removal,sewage treatment,and green energy storage.In addition,the challenges and prospects of the large-scale commercialized use of MOFs in handling environmental issues are also discussed.

Large-Scale Ontology Development and Agricultural Application Based on Knowledge Domain Framework

The key activity to build semantic web is to build ontologies. But today, the theory and methodology of ontology construction is still far from ready. This paper proposed a theoretical framework for massive knowledge management- the knowledge domain framework （KDF）, and introduces an integrated development environment （IDE） named large-scale ontology development environment （LODE）, which implements the proposed theoretical framework. A survey on semantic communications:Technologies,solutions,applications and challenges

Semantic Communication(SC)has emerged as a novel communication paradigm that provides a receiver with meaningful information extracted from the source to maximize information transmission throughput in wireless networks,beyond the theoretical capacity limit.Despite the extensive research on SC,there is a lack of comprehensive survey on technologies,solutions,applications,and challenges for SC.In this article,the development of SC is first reviewed and its characteristics,architecture,and advantages are summarized.Next,key technologies such as semantic extraction,semantic encoding,and semantic segmentation are discussed and their corresponding solutions in terms of efficiency,robustness,adaptability,and reliability are summarized.Applications of SC to UAV communication,remote image sensing and fusion,intelligent transportation,and healthcare are also presented and their strategies are summarized.Finally,some challenges and future research directions are presented to provide guidance for further research of SC.

China's One Health governance system:the framework and its application

One Health is an interdisciplinary approach that promotes the resolution of complex health issues through collaboration across multiple disciplines. In addition to accountability, the One Health governance structure fosters shared understanding, trust, and an appreciation for diverse perspectives and requirements. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the current integration of the One Health approach within China's existing health governance framework. It also proposes strategies for further improvement, with emphasis on the level of implementation and contributions to the advancement of One Health governance through an examination of current health policies.

Recent Progress in Synthesis, Mechanism and Applications of Zinc-Based Metal-Organic Frameworks for Fluorescent Sensing

As more and more pollutants threaten human health, it is necessary and essential to develop sensitive, accurate and rapid methods and sensory materials to detect harmful substance. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are inorganic-organic hybrids assembled from inorganic metal ions or clusters and suitable organic ligands. Zinc-based MOFs (Zn-MOFs) have emerged as one of the most promising sensory material of MOFs for practical applications, and attracted significant attention due to structural diversity and incomparable stability properties. However, there are few reviews on systemic summary of synthesis design, mechanism and application of Zn-MOFs. In this review, we summarize the synthesis design methods, structure types and luminescence mechanism of Zn-MOFs sensor recognition in the past ten years and their applications in metal cations, anions, organic compounds and other analytes. Finally, we present a short conclusion, and look forward to the future development direction of Zn-MOFs.

Testability Estimation of Framework Based Applications

Quality of software systems is highly demanded in today’s scenario. Highly testable system enhances the reliability also. More than 50% of test effort-time and cost are used to produce a highly testable system. Thus, design-for-testability is needed to reduce the test effort. In order to enhance the quality, productivity and reduced cost of the software organizations are promoting to produce the reuse-oriented products. Incorporating reuse technology in both aspects-software development process and test process may payoff many folds. Keeping this view, our study focus the testability of the object-oriented framework based software systems and identify that flexibility at the variable points of the object-oriented framework, chosen for framework instantiation, greatly affects the testability of object-oriented framework based software at each level of testing. In the current paper, we propose a testability model considering the flexible aspect of the variable point to estimate testability in the early phase, requirement analysis phase, of development process of the framework based software. The proposed model helps to improve the testability of the software before the implementation starts thus reducing the overall development cost.

Framework for Extensible Application Testing

In recent years large corporations as well as smaller commercial enterprises have begun to devote increased attention to software testing and software quality. This paper introduces a novel tool—the Framework for Extensible Application Testing (FEAT), implemented by the author and applicable for automatic generation and execution of test cases. The paper discusses system requirements, design, architecture and modes of operation. It also contains a detailed comparison of the FEAT framework with existing test environments, focusing in particular on the STAF/STAX framework. The final section is devoted to experimental research into the applicability and efficiency of the presented tools in various projects and configurations, as reflected by quality metrics.

Cloud-Based Access Control to Preserve Privacy in Academic Web Application

Emerging cloud computing has introduced new platforms for developing enterprise academic web applications, where software, platforms and infrastructures are published to the globe as services. Software developers can build their systems by multiple invocations of these services. This research is devoted to investigating the management and data flow control over enterprise academic web applications where web services and developed academic web application are constructing infrastructure-networking scheme at the application level. Academic web services are invoked over http port and using REST based protocol;thus traditional access control method is not enough to control the follow of data using host and port information. The new cloud based access control rules proposed here are to be designed and implemented to work at this level. The new proposed access control architecture will be a web service gateway, and it published itself as a service (SaaS). We used three case studies to test our moodle and then we apply JSON parsers to perceive web service description file (WSDL file) and supply policies according to data are to be allowed or denied based on user roll through our parsing.

Instagram Mobile Application Digital Forensics

In this research,we developed a plugin for our automated digital forensics framework to extract and preserve the evidence from the Android and the IOS-based mobile phone application,Instagram.This plugin extracts personal details from Instagram users,e.g.,name,user name,mobile number,ID,direct text or audio,video,and picture messages exchanged between different Instagram users.While developing the plugin,we identified resources available in both Android and IOS-based devices holding key forensics artifacts.We highlighted the poor privacy scheme employed by Instagram.This work,has shown how the sensitive data posted in the Instagram mobile application can easily be reconstructed,and how the traces,as well as the URL links of visual messages,can be used to access the privacy of any Instagram user without any critical credential verification.We also employed the anti-forensics method on the Instagram Android’s application and were able to restore the application from the altered or corrupted database file,which any criminal mind can use to set up or trap someone else.The outcome of this research is a plugin for our digital forensics ready framework software which could be used by law enforcement and regulatory agencies to reconstruct the digital evidence available in the Instagram mobile application directories on both Android and IOS-based mobile phones.

Smart Location-Based Mobile Shopping Android Application

In the paper, a smart location-based mobile shopping application for Android devices is proposed. The Geo-position of the user’s mobile device is utilized to produce location information in shopping application (SAGO). The flow of the application is that user searches a product, and then SAGO identifies the location and searches the product on the closest electronic local stores. The idea is to get the prices from each local store with in stock information and smartly listed product list. With the proposed smart filtering algorithm, mobile shopping application achieves precise and minimum error based on searching and listing results.

Covalent organic framework monolayer:Accurate syntheses and advanced application

Covalent organic framework(COF)monolayers,with atomically thin,ordered networks,and rich functionality,are widely studied due to their unusual structure/property relationships.However,synthesizing COF monolayer has remained an unmet challenge due to the difficulty of controlling reactions at the monolayer limit with large-scale uniformity.The identification and development of new reactions and polymerization conditions are critical for the further advancement of COF monolayer materials.Moreover,as one-molecule-thick a freestanding films,COF monolayer offers an ideal material system.Many advanced applications of COF monolayer have been explored in recent literature.This review provides an overview of the current state of precise synthetic strategies for COF monolayer,highlighting the advantages and limitations of different synthetic approaches and key challenges related to enhancing quality,and emphasizing the unique benefits of COF monolayer as both an ideal model system and for advanced applications.
